How legitimate is the book "Behold a Pale Horse"?

7 2012-10-05 by [deleted]

I purchased "Behold a Pale Horse" on my Kindle recently and am precisely 20% of the way through. Everyone I know that is big into conspiracy highly recommended this book saying that it would blow my mind. So far, it has only made me think the author was a lunatic.

The author claims that Catholics and Masons are a major threat, he claims some major cosmic event was to come that never happened and he is claiming that there are secret moon bases. Sure, these things could all be true, but in general, it seems that he may have been a little insane. Can someone who has read the book fill me in? I bought another book about the declassified files on MKULTRA that is calling me and would much rather not waste my time on the rantings of some schizophrenic loony.

what makes it interesting is who Cooper was....his links to the military, how he died, these are all novel things that makes his data point on most conspiracy theorist's reality matrixes heavily weighted...

also, he was one of the few thinkers who would spend a ton of time and effort presenting a point of view, only to later admit he could be completely wrong and being intentionally misguided by the the Powers That Be. for example, he often warned of aliens, but later in his life admitted well maybe aliens have been presented as this "real" thing to intentionally create paranoids like him so it is easier to pull off a new world order, etc.

conspiracy theorists enjoy guys who consider all the angles, so even though cooper was deep into some shit and ventures into almost david icke like territory sometimes (who actually is pretty good also, if you can look at the reptilian thing as more metaphorical and less literal), he absolutely is worth a read and listening to a lecture or two.

i dont feel like grammar checking so sorry if this came out like word soup.

Very well said, actually. I agree the book should be taken more metaphorical. However I'm sure there are some actual truths in it as well.

Check out this documentary on William Cooper. He definitely seems sincere. Sure there are some things that are not accurate in the book which even he later changed his mind about, but he was an interesting individual that suffered a tragic and suspicious death.

This was informative and helpful.

Bill Cooper knew what he was talking about, much more than a lot of people want to accept. Everything he says about mystery schools and societal control mechanisms is markedly accurate. However, he was fed some disinfo, particularly about extraterrestrials - he was led to believe there were dealings between aliens and world powers, which is presented to be truthful in Behold a Pale Horse. He later determined he was being intentionally misled, in order that false information about aliens would then be spread to the general population by his whistleblowing.

His later conclusion upon discovering this is as follows: a false alien threat is being manufactured by world powers.

This will probably get me a ton of downvotes, but it's a terrible and horribly written book with little to no factual basis to it. The book has been demonstrated fallacious by multiple researchers, multiple times...

Obviously it's 100% factual because Bill Cooper is dead. /s

In the other self post you put up, you say "I believe that it could have involved ways to manufacture mental illnesses such as schizophrenia to discredit people and so on." And this post you discredit Bill Cooper as "some schizophrenic loony." Maybe you need to chill out and get your ideas straight before you come on here rambling. Or read the whole book before you pass judgement.

upvote for answers. It is on my bookshelf and it is in queue to be read. To my understanding he was a relatively high ranking military official, but that could be totally wrong; it is currently lower on my priority list.

I think the one book everyone who is aware of what's going on needs to read is Non Dare Call It Conspiracy...And all of Gary Allens' other books.

He skated on a thin line of reality... but he wasn't scared to question things that many people won't touch.

Sometimes genius can very much sound like the "rantings of a schizophrenic loony" and sometimes they are just that... Cooper blurred that line a lot.

I don't know, why don't you read it and find out? If there is a consensus that its real are you going to believe everything in there? If its not real are you going to ignore the truthful ideas? Kind of a dumb question right?

I think he changed his mind about UFOs later in life.

Catholics and Masons are a threat, like any other group with crazy ideas.

If you are a Jew, see the relationship between Hitler and the Church, if you do not believe they are dangerous.

He changed his mind on UFO's? That's weird considering he swore to seeing one while in the Navy that could go in and out of water.

Not sure on the details but if you google it, you will find that his attitude changed over time, I believe.

He is just a dumb ass, though a few people around here seem to like him

Go figure!

He did however predict 9-11 by watching main stream media and using critical thinking.. YouTube:

http://youtu.be/CEsesnzDBvA

It cost him his life? You sure that wasn't his insistence on shooting police officers in the head?

What prediction did he offer? That Osama Bin Laden was going to attack the US? You think that was news at that point?

That part I don't know, I wasn't there. And yea, he may have been a little loony but like the post have said there is truth to some of his stuff

Umm, no there isn't. He wasn't saying anything anyone else said at the time.

In fact, he was referring to the report of a CNN newsman, so he didn't predict SHIT.

If you think Bill Cooper was a loony then I suppose George Dubya was a Genius.

He's just some guy that connected some dots, regardless of how right or wrong he was, he made an attempt.

If you think Bill Cooper was a loony then I suppose George Dubya was a Genius.

If smart people are stupid then stupid people must be smart? What a brilliant line of reasoning. No wonder you like Cooper.

What dots did he connect when he said what the CNN reporter did? He is no different than Alex Jones who is no different from Rush Limbaugh

Nowhere in my comment did I say I liked Bill Cooper, I was simply reflecting on your statement that Bill Cooper MUST be a loony for writing a book that we don't know the intention of (maybe it was all entertainment he created during his off time from his real job, laughing things off as he saw what was really going on and say "Well, Conspiracy nuts would Love this kind of shit").

George Dubya is a Genius though.

Yeah, maybe it all is a joke by Bill. I think you are confused if I suggested he was dumb because he wrote a book.

I'm not sure why you'd think Dubya was smart

He got elected didn't he?

He did something right... not that I like Dubya either, never met the fella.

Oh, that was up to him?

Oh, Also, the royal family is reptilian.

Prove me wrong.

What would it take for that to be proven, in your eyes?

Being present while one of them hatches is born

Ok, I'll let you know the next time such a chance arrises

ITs amazing, he was in the military and the author was found dead apparent suicide with mulitple gun shots to the face

Bullshit, he wasn't found dead in an apparent suicide. The official story he was killed in a shootout with a couple sherriffs

oh sorry, YOUR PROBABLY RIGHT, i just heard differently.

Don't go repeating until you've checked it out
