Help me find a post here from three weeks ago..

About three weeks ago there was a post here from someone claiming to have knowledge of an upcoming disaster. The poster claimed that her military relative had leaked information to her regarding preparations for large scale flooding on the east coast. She predicted that the flooding would arrive in "about 4 weeks".

Well it looks like her prediction may come true. Predictions of hurricane Sandy's path now put the storm as slamming into the mid atlantic. It looks like this could be the worst storm in living memory causing widespread flooding.

I've been searching for her post but can't find it anymore. Does anyone else remember it?

That is interesting as it was 20 days ago. So it will be be right about 4 weeks if it tracks into the northeast coast. This was the users only post. Why is that? Was it someone posting that does not usually associate with r/conspiracy?

Right during the election? And hitting the areas who will vote most strongly for obama.

I remember it too. I was just searching for the old post when I found yours. Thanks for bringing this up.

I remember this post as well. At the time I thought op was a nut. Now that I'm in NY and have heard the media going on about sandy I'm pretty freaked out. As well as those posts concerning FEMA caskets and "mass fatality planning"

"They were told that in 4-6 weeks (this was around 9/20) the East Coast would experience some type of disaster that would cause it to be under water."

Dude, what in the fucking fuck? This person nailed it. Someone should save this post somehow.

That's definitely a beguiling story you have there.

But why would he choose you? starlightnoodle, you. are. the. chosen one.

Just to be safe, if there are ANY chances of this being true and FEMA actually does set camps up, I will find a way to survive on my own. Thank you for the heads up

To add to the weirdness, in 1997 Westchester County NY ran a drill simulating a hurricane named Sandy hitting Long Island...

how did they know fifteen years ahead of time? it's just like the 9/11 poster on the simpsons!

This is pretty creepy... I'm in South Jersey right now waiting for this to land. Calling it Frankenstorm up here and its apparently supposed to be really really bad.

Climate change? What climate change?

I don't know man, ask the inhabitants of Doggerland.

Strange.... I would say that poster was on to something! Can we contact her? I heard it would be "catastrophic" if it hits New York.

Currently on my way to NYC for a family get together. Thank god I brought my SHTF bag... Call me paranoid but I always have it

Can we all agree to call them bugout bags? Shit's-hitting-the-fan bags just doesn't have the same ring to it.

Personally I think they have been able to disrupt hurricanes for a while. That they do it while they are still close to Africa. But that they can also, crudely, steer them. And Katrina was steered. But this is still controlled by the government. Why would Obama allow this as long as he is still president. True, he doesn't know everything or control everything, but enough.

They do have patents on disrupting them. I know I read somewhere they can also steer them too. I could see this as being an October surprise. The surprise is DC gets wiped out, Obama stays in office, and they conveniently move DC to Colorado.

Or north east gets disrupted and people homeless so can't vote and Romney steals it.

touche'

Hey dude, I'm from Venezuela, but I've some family in Orlando and Miami. Why do you think that nobody is paying attention to this? I mean if it's true that could be the worst storm in 100 years, maybe it would already cause some major disasters in Jamaica or other Caribbean islands. I'm just reading this for the first time and I got very interested.

I live in CT, everyone is pretty much freaking the hell out. I happen to live on some pretty high ground so I guess we will see what goes down.

Best luck scenario: You get your own rad little island.

Worst luck: Titanic, but the earth is the boat.

Either way atleast I won't have to worry about paying back my student loans.

Does anyone know if this coincides with any troop or supply movements from the same time, a few weeks ago?

Are you talking about those tanks on a railtroad video ?

I have family in the Northeast and I'm letting them know. Thanks for this.

For the record, Sandy developed from an elongated tropical wave in the western Caribbean Sea on October 22. The original post was made October 3rd.

Idk, I feel like that thread (I remember it) is just so vague of a prediction.

Predicting a hurricane towards the end of hurricane season, doesn't seem that crazy to me.

Regardless: I hope all of you on the East Coast stay safe as this happens.

I don't think it's so much the fact that a hurricane is happening now, but how bad they're saying it's going to be. I've heard some predictions that this could be the worst weather event of the last 250 years or some shit on the East Coast.

Alright, this is weird, but we are really getting into la-la land if we are going to start saying that they can not only make hurricanes, but decide where they are going to hit. Someone has to provide some credible scientific hypothesis how this could occur. Its possible the OP was just fucking with us? I mean, so far all the OP did was predict a hurricane in hurricane season.

study HARRP

TIL that november is hurricane season

Really, follow no1113 suggestion. It sounds completely outlandish and crazy, but HAARP is some scary shit.

I'll say that Sandy is going to die out long as soon as it hits colder water.

First of all, November is hurricane season. Second, there have been dozens of predictions on r/conspiracy. Let me make an analogy for you.

A blade of grass is in the middle of the golf course, and all of a sudden, a golf ball lands on it. The blade of grass feels so lucky that out of the hundred of thousands of grass blades the ball landed on it. But the truth is the ball had to land on A grass blade no matter what, so the coincidence is only in the grass blade's mind.

This is the same situation here. Everyone ignores all the other bullshit posts that are written here, but the second one out of the hundreds of posts comes even remotely true, everyone accepts it as fact.

Sooo... you are saying that because you believe 95% of the things in /r/conspiracy to be false... we should discount the other 5% even though it might be true? We accept the fact that he made the prediction and was on the money. That's a fact. Supposedly coming from a military source is just a mind fuck as usual.

No, I'm not saying that at all. I don't think you understood my comparison.

Coincidences aren't coincidences at all. The human mind draws connections between two things and labels both those events as coincidence even though it isn't a coincidence at all.

This post predicted a hurricane in hurricane season and everyone is freaking out because it came remotely true. Parts of this story are true, however, some parts aren't. A military meeting wouldn't make exaggerations by saying "All the northeast is going to be underwater." Certain parts of the north east have a few feet of water, but the post made it seem like the entire northeast would basically become part of the ocean.

Predicting the right time is even less of a coincidence. The OP didn't give exact dates, he just said "in a few weeks." That can be interpreted as anywhere from 2-10 weeks by most people. If the hurricane happened in December even, people would refer to the post as predicting the future when it really hasn't.

Also, there is absolutely no credibility in the other post. He says he was invited into a secret military meeting. And for some reason a super secret branch of the government that is developing the ability to control mother earth has invited an ordinary citizen into what could be one of the most secretive meetings in the country, and that citizen just shared his information on the internet.

If the government really for some reason had trusted this ordinary person with information that could start a world war, I can assure you that they would keep track on his internet usage and see what he posts. The government already has admitted to eavesdropping on people who are on their "watch list" for suspicion of terrorist acts. You are telling me they wouldn't keep watch on a citizen that has the knowledge that the U.S. government has developed a weapon stronger than an atomic bomb? Ridiculous.

Damn you and your voice of reason...

Best luck scenario: You get your own rad little island.

Worst luck: Titanic, but the earth is the boat.
