Hurricane Sandy and Martial Law?
4 2012-10-29 by immalittlepiggy
I'm sure most of the people here are informed about the camps FEMA has set up to "protect" us in the event of major disasters and the powers FEMA is given under Martial Law. Am I the only one that is afraid Martial Law may be coming due to the damage Sandy may do to major cities, such as New York, and even the nations's capitol?

I wouldn't sweat it now. Although I'd love to have you as a guest, martial law would not go over well in America so close to a presidential election. Look forward instead, to the spring of 2013. Just my thoughts...

I think that Filthy Jew may be referring to this one: http://www.reddit.com/r/conspiracy/comments/1107zp/hear_say_about_the_east_coast/

Yeah? That doesn't sound like a bit much?

I don't think you are the only one afraid, but it will be for no reason.
There are no FEMA camps - if there were, they'd have been advising people to get to them, right?

What are you stupid?

And from such a non-biased source too.
I don't know how anyone can claim they don't exist - but for such drastically nefarious purposes as some claim, we simply can't know that, yet.

Sorry the New York Times has failed to cover the concentration camps in the US....
Jesus, do you people even think before submitting your comments?

What...?
I'm agreeing with you? Did you not notice how I said in my post "I don't know how anyone can claim they don't exist" or did you just skim my post, down vote me, and insult me?
-3 Malizulu 2012-10-29
Yes.

Yes what..? You down voted and insulted me for agreeing with you..

I wish I was that important.

Well according to the research I have done, the are not easy to find, and are only to be opened under Martial Law. I may be wrong, but that's what I have been able to gather. I am curious, do you think Martial Law may be considered because of the storm? Not FEMA or anything else involved in this question, just the possibility of it being declared.

How do they hide these giant camps that supposedly hold thousands of people? That's one reason among many I don't buy it. If you Google "FEMA Camp locations" you get thousands of hits, but nothing of substance at all.
No, I think there will be curfews, but no martial law. The only exception I'd make would be cities that have traditionally a very high crime rate, like Camden and Newark.

Are you serious? Military bases.
0 rednail64 2012-10-29
Sure. They built housing and infrastructure for thousands of people all over the country and yet there's no proof? Not a single contractor or laborer that can validate the effort.
Horsecrap.

Yeah, the nuclear bomb was kept a secret with just a few folks working on it.

Okay seriously - FEMA Camps exist, but FEMA camps aren't some sort of concentration camp, they're used for things like this.
The idea behind a huge conspiracy related to FEMA camps comes from the current sociopaths in power, but most people understand that there is practicality to many things if there isn't power controlling them. The latter of course is a huge issue at the moment.

here is one

You are wrong. I'm watching a military channel, offered on this military base, that is discussing how we are opening up our doors for FEMA, to allow them to run drills, and evacuate people if needed.
These FEMA camps, are not the same as Alex jones says. It's just a refugee camp. But there probably are a few detention camps.
2 evenmoretiredoflibs 2012-10-29
Well I'm in one of the hardest hit parts of NYC and there are no FEMA agents or marshals or anything like that.

Well we went through Sandy here in western MA and I gotta say it was pretty minor. Irene was much much worse

Hurricane Sandy is not Hurricane Katrina and you won't have to worry about Martial Law.

this bickering and denial (not necessarily wrong) is reminiscent to me of a scene in a film. remember in Schindler's List when the Jewish women are sitting around talking in their barracks as to whether they think Jews are being killed en masse in Auschwitz?
at that point in the war it may not have been happening, or may have been happening in secret, in less extreme ways, or to others. in fact Schindler's Jews did not get killed. however, eventually it did turn out that many were being killed systematically.
just consider the overall climate of the world, the country. there are disturbingly striking parallels
