Just wondering where this Obama attitude was when US agencies were caught flooding Mexico with guns... and it was swept under the carpet.

Of course I feel deeply sad about the kids who got killed at Sandy Hook, but where was Obama's concern as 1000s and 1000s of Mexicans were being murdered by American guns. I do not appreciate this knee jerk reaction of DO GUN CONTROL NOW! I find it hypocritical considering what has been happening in Mexico for a long time.... I am not sure what to do about all of this, but if they do nothing about getting help for people who need mental health assistance, then it is a fail.

Yes, generally you are correct. However, in this case the Republicans have no reason to low-ball that number. The higher the number, the more irresponsible Holder, and therefore Obama look.

that is the whole purpose of controlling both sides of the debate. Just as democrats will now say "look we tried free markets, small government and low taxes with bush, now lets try it our way"...or the repubs will say "look even hillary clinton and Obama support torture, the patriot act and drone bombings....only a conspiracy nut would be against them."

Obama said we must move forward and not investigate war crimes on cheney, rumsfeld, bush....and the repubs do the same thing for obama when it matters(fast and furious). The staged fights the sheeple are entertained by regarding gay marriage, beer summits etc are meant as distractions. At the top, it is clear: They are not enemies.
