How do you identify trolls?
9 2013-03-21 by StyleandSpeed
Everytime I see words like "ad hominem, sensational, editorialized or anti vaccine conspiracy nut" automatically a red flag comes up.
You fuckers have an obvious pattern.
Also, their comment history consists of nothing but attacking anyone who goes against the status quo. How do you guys identify trolls?

This is really, really funny, given number 4 on that list.
Excerpt of 4: "This same method can be used by posing as one of the form members and posting your favourite 'technique of operation.' From the replies various methods that the group utilizes can be studied and effective methods developed to stop them from their activities."

You think pointing out the fallacy in your argument structure is trolling?
I am shocked "calling me a troll" didn't make your list.

Sounds like the shoe fits you a little too well with a preposterous response like yours. To top it off, your history is also nothing but attacks.
1 AnSq 2013-03-21
Many of yours are as well.

So... Yes?
0 StyleandSpeed 2013-03-21
Yes, your comment history is indeed full of comments trolling r/conspiracy.
0 Your-Wrong 2013-03-21
So... I guess i should point out that calling me a troll is an editorialized, sensationalist ad hom attack?

Sometimes it can be hard for me to tell the difference between baby's first troll and the incredible level of unabashed ignorance I expect from people.
2 StyleandSpeed 2013-03-21
Say what you want but one thing stands clear, you got shill written all over you according to your comment history.

Seriously get a life. You're pretty pathetic. You're not fooling anyone.

Ya wanna just hug it out, bro?

Many of them are automatically sarcastic and they always mock people. They always have contempt for others.
I think there are two main kinds, the narcissistic psycho troll and the professional employed troll.
But the big focus for the pros is always either defending a corporation or a government practice, whether by denying something is happening, or by deflecting from it. The key is, they're always only posting attacks on inquirers and much less of the time posting normal human comments on human topics. And they never debate like a human with good manners.

I have been a serious conspiracy researcher for 20 years. I troll on this subreddit. Specifically all the white nationalist/Aryan bullshit I see in r/conspiracy. I do not troll anything else. Believe me though, that takes a lot of time, given r/conspiracy. I do it for one reason, and one reason only. It takes away from true research, and credibility. They and their bullshit offer nothing to further the cause of research...
0 STFUJosh 2013-03-21
You believe you're superior to others, so that gives you the right to troll others and shut down discourse? Or that you have an order from god to patrol the Internet and tell other people what they can't say? Just because one person feels the opinion of others is bullshit does not make it so. In your way you could be as bad as those you demonize.
0 [deleted] 2013-03-21
I do not believe I am superior to anyone, but I will call out bullshit and ignorance every time I see it.. Just yesterday there was holocaust denying in r/conspiracy. You bet your ass I will call it and troll the ignorant fuckers..
1 STFUJosh 2013-03-21
If you can't even spell Holocaust properly - it damages your credibility as being entitled to criticize others. 'A holocaust' is merely a really bad event. 'The Holocaust' is the thing that happened around WWII. So I see you're not really an accurate student of history but a poser. Serious researcher for 20 years and can't spell the term right? My ass. You're in no position to justify calling others ignorant and trolling them on that basis.

Looks like monkee is just some ADL troll spewing shit. His comments history is full of lies attacking people. He calls the entire r/conspiracy worse than a klan meeting. That's propaganda bullshit dude. The Zionists on Reddit are fucked up people.

I didn't get a single thing from the OP's 'Pinning Down' post. Not. A. Single. Thing. But then people say the same about my posts so...?"
1 SovereignMan 2013-03-21
Trolls do a lot of this, this and this.
4 AnSq 2013-03-21
If by "trolls" you mean "most of the most frequent and most upvoted posters here", then yes. I see fallacies coming from the "real posters" far more often than the "shills". So much for "waking up" and "free thinking".
1 [deleted] 2013-03-21
well i think the commonly accepted definition for troll/shill is pretty much anyone that disagrees with you without using any reasonable form of argument.
1 danxmason 2013-03-21
Anyone who uses an aggressive tone, name calls, or attempts to humiliate someone is a troll. Anyone who demands proof as opposed to evidence or discussion of possibilities is a troll.
1 just-a-fart 2013-03-21
This site sucks for conspiracy, thats all I can say. I think its the rebellious atheists/science ramblings, thinking the world isnt screwing with us, even though its in plain sight.
You cant really spark up a good one here. There are better forums than this one.
1 BadgerGecko 2013-03-21
Trolls is a subjective term in my opinion.
