r/news shadow banning comments... again!

75  2013-07-18 by ShiftSurfer

Found a good link over there about Barret Browning. Then made a comment in reply to another comment saying donate for his legal defense.

A few minutes later, went back to edit my comment because according to Project PMs twitter the link i originally provided is suspect (thanks Google). That is when i noticed that the permalink is not visible even when i'm logged in. Looked more... my comment is gone unless I'm logged in and only viewing "all comments".

Maybe they objected to me encouraging people to help out Barrett Browns Project PM in a non-monetary way. Maybe they objected to my characterization of "private-contracting, federal terrorists." Either way there is nothing in "the rules" to justify banning the comment.

Found out more !?

I do not comment in r/news often, why bother? It seems that all my comments (2) since this exchange with DouglasMacArthur (an r/news mod) are now shadow banned. I assume it is automatic now. Still, pointing out when a mod is not logical or following his own rules is not a good reason for shadow banning.

He's a mod of /r/restorethefourth as well. The more you know.

Bipolarbear0 is a coward. Everything he does screams, "I'm a pussy who has no logical arguments so I resort to bitch-like tactics to convince the stupidest of the stupid that I'm correct".

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if bipolarbear0 was just a kid.

Welcome to reddit where passive-aggressive shadow banning is the norm. They' re basically saying: "We're not smart enough to debate you in public. We're not brave enough to tell you we disagree." Instead they gather in cliques and PM their toadie mods to shadow-ban anyone they disagree with.

Yeah, they are all retards there. That subreddid needs to be taken over and all current mods removed.

He was spamming, that is not the correct subreddit for that.

He was asking for money.
