Question: Explain to me, like I was 5, why is the US intending to intervene with direct Military force into Syria ?

I have my own opinion of this, but I wanted to get everyone else's view point. I see this as a very important topic that will have very real consequences for everyone involved. Therefore, I feel this needs to be discussed.

So, please, let me hear what you all have to say about it.

There was 7 countries left in the world without ponzie scheme fiat currency central banks. After 9/11 and all the invasions in the middle east, now there are only 3 countries left. Syria, North Korea, and Iran. What happened after our invasion of Afghanistan? http://www.nytimes.com/2012/11/27/world/asia/kabul-bank-audit-details-extent-of-fraud.html?_r=0&adxnnl=1&pagewanted=all&adxnnlx=1374685294-DcsY2I/b1iEFOXukgenVEg

Cuba has a Rothschild central bank? link please.

No, it doesn't. That is partly why the US hates Cuba to this day.

I'd forgot about that part. Good point. Is the US willing to risk what might become another Vietnam in order to secure this control ?

I believe Israel has A LOT to do with it, and we've been wanting to blow the shit out of Iran for quite some time. If we get involved with Syria, that may be enough for Iran to join Syria's side.

I think it would be safe to assume that Iran is well aware of the intentions of the US/Israel. Given that the last large Military campaign Iran was involved in was it's war with Iraq in the 1970's (and Iran was defending itself), do you honestly think Iran is going to provide Military aide to Syria knowing full well that they have a bullseye on their backsides ?

Why? Why would the Iranian people enter into a war they know they couldn't possibly win? Just like with Russia and China, if the US starts building up forces on the border the worst they will do is send a very angrily worded letter.

You are suggesting Russia and China will cower when the US builds up fores on the border ? If you are suggesting that the US is still the world's undefeated heavy weight champ and that Russia and China are just light weights, then you have a nasty surprise coming. The US will get it's ass handed to them. If the US were smart, and they are not, they would stay home. Russia and China are not to be fucked with.

It has everything to do with force projection. Russia and China have militaries designed to protect their homeland, the US military is designed to attack YOUR homeland. Take the Navy for example, we have 11 Carrier battlegroups, Russia has a single small carrier and China is still retrofitting a Ukrainian mini-carrier from the Cold War.

It all comes down to logistics, America owns the blue water and moving armored units through friendly countries is simply a non-starter. I'll also point out that the US has TONS and TONS of military resources already in the area. The Russians have the single base in Syria and the Chinese have no foreign bases.

Then there is also the political calculation. Putin is not exactly super popular and sending 10-50k men to fight a war they can't possibly win just to keep the naval base? Don't fucking count on it.

So you are suggesting that the US Military has over whelming superiority ? Are you suggesting that Russia and China are just going to sit by idle while the US overruns Syria and Iran ?

Proxy between Russia and the US

So you are suggesting Vietnam 2.0 ?

thats what it looks like to me. "A proxy war or proxy warfare is a war that results when opposing powers use third parties as substitutes for fighting each other directly."

"A proxy war or proxy warfare is a war that results when opposing powers use third parties as substitutes for fighting each other directly."

Yes, that says it all

disturbing how little attention syria gets from the general american public.

I think that might change if enough Soldiers end up dead.

To bring us closer to the much anticipated Third World War, of course.

Sadly, I can't dispute that.

LOL, with who? Look at military spending, America is in a league of it's own.

So was Nazi Germany

Nope, the US outspent them.
