What if we started just blatantly referring to the NSA (and co.) as terrorist organizations?

our government has been aiding and abetting terrorists both home and abroad for decades and decades, so yes the NSA is one of many terrorist organizations in this country.
sadly all american media is also a form of terrorism because their sole use is making the masses fearful and obedient so we can have all our constitutional rights taken away

The news agencies are terrorist organizations. They are the mouthpiece. They are the ones that are piping out what to think, piping out fear, xenophobia, and distrust.

The American government is the biggest terrorist organisation on the planet and have been for a loong time.
Just look at how Obama, with his kill-list, decides every tuesday if someone in a foreign country should be drone-bombed. And they don't give a shit about innocent children dying in the attacks. If this is not terrorist then I have no idea what is. Imagine if Iran, Pakistan, Yemen or some other gov. was doing the same to people in the US. would they be called terrorist? absolutely!

Sooo many ACTUAL COUNTRIES have already labeled the CIA and/or FBI terrorist organizations. And some have labeled the the entire US as such. But yes, the NSA could certainly be labeled a domestic terrorist organization. Slight stretch, but then the term terrorism is misused so much now who knows what it can mean anymore. Doubleplusgoodtalk!

At first we would confuse the shit out of them. phone call to your pal "I hate the terrorist organization, don't you?" "Yea, their intent was good, but it has gotten out of hand." "Who knows how much power they have and how much they know." "I don't know man, but I gotta go." "Alright, talk to you later, the terrorist organization is probably listening to us." over at the NSA, "oh"

Somebody should write a browser plugin that swaps certain words, like "soldier" and "terrorist," "president" and "dictator." We could put a whole list together.
Then we would use it to browse CNN and all the other Western news agencies.

I am 100% down with this.
Hence forth my vernacular will reflect this.

Better report these terrorist organizations to the police!

Pretty soon, I don't know when, they are coming after you and will shut you down. First the media then other groups. Have you thought about that? Where this all leads?

I think we should brainstorm some catchy wordings and quips for some good rhetoric. Like "murder-drones", and always prefacing NSA and CIA with "the terrorist organization." Also the "occupying militarized police force."

"coyld"... really?
-14 [deleted] 2013-08-20
Since "terrorism" is a word that actually means something, and they don't fit the definition, it'd be equivalent to referring to them as bananas, or fish.

Funny, if the last 10 years has taught us anything, it's taught us that "terrorist" means whatever the corporate media wants it to mean.
So... you're wrong.

What does it mean, exactly, when Greenwald's partner is detained for terrorism, when the FBI labels occupy protesters as terrorists?
6 TheWiredWorld 2013-08-20
Are you people even trying anymore?
-4 [deleted] 2013-08-20
"You people?" Which people is that, exactly?
