Syrian war protests?
27 2013-08-29 by aG_Infamous
We need them. If anyone in the Dallas area is interested in planning something with me please send me a message. And to others, please do the same in your own area!
The other thing I think would be helpful is a flyer that we could stick around that details the issue and why the U.S. should not enter the war (Well, more than we already have...)
An informed public is the first step!
Edit: if you are interested in starting a protest in your city, please leave your city name below and I'll add you to the post!

Just be cognizant of what you're going up against. The American public believes that Assad is evil and willingly gassed his own people and that the FSA is a group of freedom loving rebels who only want to shower the Syrian people in rainbow colored puppies and kittens. You WILL get backlash from the sleepers you're trying to educate.
When something doesn't fit the accepted reality, the sleepers will ignore it at best or attempt to correct it at worst.

I appreciate your warning. I am prepared for ridicule!

There is no backlash. The right is completely against military intervention because they are against every proposal by Obama. Even last night, Obama was backing down by saying "I haven't decided yet" on the bombing campaign.
Clearly this was an attempt to get Obama. They knew he would have a predictable overreaction, and they were ready to then criticize him for his predictable overreaction.

What? Are you seriously saying that this has been a republican plot to discredit Obama? You're telling me people still believe in the false dichotomy that is American politics?

Enough republicans do

Dumb accusation. It's true. We need to think of other ways to do something about this.

Always be wary of people trying to deter you from any form of action. For what reason would someone make comments like this?
