There are no meaningful differences between the presidential candidates today, except at the very edges of debate on a handful of "wedge" issues. As a case study, just look at the diversity of views on Syria among the recent presidential candidates:

I am so glad Kerry is no longer the Senior Senator from my state.

If he had any honor, he would commit Seppuku.

But he would not find anyone to be his kaishakunin, to perform the kaishaku.

He dishonors himself and all of his ancestors.
