Kimberly Wookey of Terrace, British Columbia, woke up early Thursday morning to a loud, strange trumpet-like sound. She’d heard the sounds before, back in June, so she grabbed her camera and recorded it. This time, she said, the noises were more intense.

What are these sounds?! EDIT: Another Video from a different person, and place: http://youtu.be/5u9ELIDf9R4

I'm not saying it necessarily is, but that sounds like some heavy machine parts rubbing together to me.

That's what I thought too. But if you search "strange noise coming from sky" there are many videos that appear! It is a phenomena I have never heard before today!

This is a great site to do more searching on the worldwide phenomena. He seems to have an open mind, has found evidence to disprove many as hoaxes but fully admits when he can't.

The answer to this one you posted has an official version.

On Friday afternoon city spokesperson Alisa Thompson said she had a simpler explanation — it was a city worker grinding down the blade on a grader.

"The grader blade needed to be straightened. Kind of gets ground down, and it makes a very strange noise. It's as simple as that," said Thompson.

"The video, the YouTube video, is actually right around the corner from the arena, and that's where our employee was doing the straightening."

Thompson said the city will try to replicate the sound and prove it was the grader this afternoon, although she admits she likes the more creative explanations better.

"Like some kind of epic battle between a Kermode, and UFO, with sasquatch and maybe a whale thrown in there. That would be great for local tourism."

I'm not trying to compare this sound that is in the next video exactly to what was heard because it is completely different circumstances, one being in snow and therefore muffled by the mounds piling in front of it and the other being some other circumstance, but you can hear the noise that harmonic vibrations cause in a grader blade.

Believe what you will, and check out that site I linked to first, it's pretty cool.

But is happening worldwide!

people and industry exist worldwide in places that have cameras to record these strange sounds.

But why don't they hear it all the time then?

Sounds like a train yard or something

I'll tell you what. I made an OP a while back whose links I think are dead now, but the main point behind what I posted there was that some of these "Earth Sounds" sound pretty much exactly like the sounds that the ET drones in the latest (shitty) War Of The Worlds movie sounded like.

Tell me these sounds don't sound a LOT like these. Now WTF?

Trumpets of revelation? :( I really have no idea. Hope our planet is not about to explode.

I hope not.

I believe so.

I'm glad to hear this come up. I've personally had a life changing experience and hearing this sound with a family member is why I believe this is going on.

You have actually heard it?!

Yes. With my uncle.

How long did it last?

The whole experience about 7 minutes.

It was a 2 separate sounds. I was outside my house walked inside when I heard what was like a big cat scream but it wave of some type if feeling. Like a football game in a big stadium kind of loudness and feel to it. The second one almost made me think I was going crazy.

The rest of that day and into the night there was a very crazy lighting storm that I've never seen before in my 30 years in Houston.

The Oklahoma video sounded similar.

Rail Grinding on the local railroad. it's SPOOKY, and they should let people know via radio & TV in advance. (I gre up near a quarry, the dynamite blasts were interesting!)

Someone should speed it up.

Sky quakes caused by magnetosphere movement it's happened before sounds like trumpets they tries to warn us

It's a train. 54.515514,-128.604188

I also suspect that Wookey is a made up name
