The real conspiracy in america

Ok it can't be just me that has noticed in this past year when I get a reese's that the choclate peels off with the wrapper. I know they changed something and they do not taste the same only the reese' minis are what I member as a kid in taste.
Anyone else notice how on butterfingers, reese's, and I am sure others does this.

They cheapened the product over time with pgpr, soy lecithin and preservatives. The real conspiracy is how you have been conditioned to eat that garbage in the first place.

True. A big thing with chocolate is that a lot of formulations have had the cocoa butter removed or reduced with cheaper fats. Cocoa butter is important to chocolates physical properties because it has a variety of melting points that can't easily be replicated with other fats. It also changes the "snap" of chocolate and can make it more soft or brittle depending on depending on the temperature of the environment.

There are so many other companies making peanut butter cups with more natural ingredients, if you must do the sugar thing.

I tried them others and well I just love the taste of the reese brand but the minis are the best

Even so, I could really go for a peanut butter cup right now.

I refrigerate them, then punch out the middle first, then eat the ring last.

Reese's have done this since I can remember eating them as a little kid. Easily for over a decade, not sure how they were before that though.

They were better.

I stopped eating them a few years ago, I don't like the peanutbutter:chocolate ratio, needs more chocolate.
1 adhdferret 2013-10-11
Oh man I can't blame ya thou but try the dark choc ones just once
1 moparornocar 2013-10-11
Do you say that in a good way, or a bad way?
1 adhdferret 2013-10-11
A good way. I ment cause he way they peel away sucks but the dark choc ones are so good it don't matter

Hell yeah, picking some up later on tonight then.
Kind of off topic, but have you tried the white chocolate kit kats before? I saw them last night and debated giving them a try.

Yeah they are way to waxy I think like knawing on a choc scented yankee candle. If that is an apt description.
1 moparornocar 2013-10-11
Def a good description, I think i'm gonna pass on those haha.

Good choice. On a side note when I was in aus hey had a strawberry milkyway. It was like nectar of the gods I only wish I could find them now.
Description. Regular milkyway right but in the place of carmel it had the center from those strawberry candies from when I was a kid. And it had the consistancy of honey and the flavor of the sweetest most artificial strawberry ever.
And it was good
1 moparornocar 2013-10-11
OMG, you're talking about this candy right?
That sounds so god damn amazing.

Yes that is the one they have a knock off at dollar tree that is worse then chewing on a rusty razor blade.
1 moparornocar 2013-10-11
Yeah that candy is already cheap. No need to skimp and get the bottom of the barrel kind.
