Well shit man all you need is immortal technique hahaha not to be a dick, but he has to be the most political rapper ever. Hard to hear any politics in rap unless its making fun of politicans (i.e. "The 6/6/6 cut WIC like Newt Gingrich sucks dick"- Lauren Hill on "The Beast" by The Fugees )
But well the whole Fugees album "The Score" is amazing, some political references here and there with a strong hate for "gangster" rappers.
And Common has/HAD alot of songs speaking of revolution. Dude does million dollar movies and shit tho hard to respect that. Also Mos Def has alot of what you might be looking for

-(P.S. One Be Lo is my alltime favorite Underground Hip-Hop artist. He isnt always singing about political things but damn if he isnt good at it. and im talking educated raps, with the right amount of skill on the mic. Dude kills it if you are a person of bars)
Here is a song that One Be Lo did that I like showing people if they never heard of him One Be Lo - The Host
This song here though I feel like really gets the general idea of how I feel about the US and the state we live in Rhetorical - One Be Lo
This is One Be Lo of Binary Star 'Masters of the Universe' (2001)
yeah i get kind of a fascist vibe from them. i say let's end war, racism, an artificial scarcity and once we've definitely gotten through to universal love we can invent cool technologies and explore space. priorities.
earth was pretty good before we started fucking with it. i'm not against technology, but if the most powerful forces in the world are greedy/irresponsible/evil then technological development can be a bad thing.
Well, that's for certain. The ideals of the Venus project will not succeed without a values change on our part. That's going to be tough, considering all the negative conditioning from our environment.
The Venus project is a really bad idea, you want a computer making all of your life choices for you? Its the ideal of a planned society, which never works and usually millions of people must be sacrificed in order to make it "work". Its like a mix between Agenda 21 and the Terminator.
I really enjoy listening to Jacque speak. He has some great ideas overall. There are some flaws in his plan, but I dig it for the most part. Especially the idea that we wouldn't have to work 40 hours a week to make a "living wage".
You should read the book "Walden Two" by BF Skinner, I am about 2/3 of the way done with it. It describes the prerequisite culture to the Venus Project basically, molding people using behaviorism, eliminating the family unit and having everyone live as a collective. You would find it very interesting. I think its a horrifying concept but its an interesting read nonetheless, its cheap on Amazon last time I checked.

Bad Religion too. The album "No Control" is front to back awesome and paradigm destroying.

that first track is a little caught up in the 'zeitgeist' ideology for my taste, tbh

We are going to need to utilize that technology to create abundance, would you agree?

Thanks, will read if I can find it cheap. I do like alternative ideas, even if they might be outlandish.
