I just got banned from /r/politics for pointing out they were needlessly removing links to a Glenn Greenwald interview. What can be done about /r/politics?

R/politics was dead a long time ago. Everyone knows it's only a propaganda subreddit for the establishment point of view.

It's time to abandon the default subs & encourage others to do the same. Feel free to join us at /r/altnewz.

Great sentiment but no thankz.

Edit, I kid. I know your post was just a plug to your subreddit. I have subscribed despite my wittiness.

haha, cheers

sorry to hear that, does not seem to be much of that here.

maybe if everyone comes here and quits the subs that are uncomfortable to express themselves in it will send a message to the rest of reddit that censorship is not welcome.

migration is the answer!

What can be done about r/politics? Same as Fox News, just don't go there/give them your attention.

This is Reddit, arguably the world's most visible online platform for various topics of internet, and you advocate ignoring the entire politics subreddit as a viable means for change in society?

Fuck that. Fight it.

uwotm8?

WOW! Sorry about that. Shoulda checked the context. I was in a different conversation.

Ahem.

Yeah, ignore /r/politics . It's a circle jerk of garbage and the people who go there are the people who'd fall for that crap anyway. At some point we have to realize we can't save everyone. I mean, don't give up hope, but don't obsess over the small stuff. Just ignore it.

I believe he is saying that you can fight it by not visiting it and making a less moderated subreddit the more popular one. There is no default politics subreddit anymore so any of them can be the premier politics subreddit. It's not the hard nosed Internet vigilante approach that you might want to take, but it is profoundly more effective.

Apparently if you delete a comment it takes the stuff under it as well. I was in a different conversation but yeah, just don't go to /r/politics . If you want to fight it, set up a different sub and then somehow get people to go there instead of /r/politics

Apparently, posting this here is against the rules as you are not allowed to link to /r/politics for any reason whatsoever.

Try /r/POLITIC

I too was banned by the mods of politics for questioning the moderation policies. You should also document your story at /r/PoliticalModeration

Nothing can be done since the Reddit admins don't care about anything except $$$.

Pretend it doesn't exist. Stop submitting. Stop subscribing. Stop browsing. Stop complaining. Stop referring to them. Don't even speak its' name. It's over. The DNC owns that subreddit and no amount of fighting the good fight will change that. By going there and complaining you are actually providing the legitimacy of token dissent. Best thing to do is starve them of that, and let that sub continue to die.

Get your head out of your ass and don't give a shit about it.

Fuck this guy. Yes, please stop caring about stories being covered up, obviously you weren't suppose to know about it.

Stop following me around.

stop using reddit
