COINTELPRO tactics utilized daily by the shills that incessantly attempt to poison the well, as seen here, should be added to the sidebar as a constant reminder and even a handy quick reference. I believe it is in the spirit of this community and serves a functional purpose.

How could anyone justify not supporting this? How could one claim to not be an obvious shill if argued against?

P.S. Thank you, /u/shawngh for doing your part in attempting to educate others in the community and giving me the inspiration to make this call to action.

again, we should not have to if the mods did their job and banned them, 1298734 case in point.

unfortunately it seems the mods are part of the problem.

Sound argument there.. Why?

These rules are WAY too vague and subject to interpretation to be implemented on a subreddit that is trying to have open discussions. I'd favor similar rules if we could define them a little more clearly.

For example "playing dumb". How do you know what someone does and does not have knowledge of?

Look at the guy's history.

One thing I've noticed is that they seem to have this really strange ability to completely change their minds 100 percent depending on the topic and make it hard to notice.

For instance: anyone who thinks shills exist in r/conspiracy is having delusions of grandeur... nobody cares about this tiny community... get over yourself, etc. Then they go to r/conspiratard and boast about how they are saving everyone from another Mcveigh incident because r/conspiracy is full of dangerous delusional paranoids. (They use this as an excuse for their excessive daily presence here.) So on one thread, this is a really unimportant subreddit and nobody gives a shit about what we say, and on another thread they are saving the country by "fixing" our intellectual deficits and "stopping the spread of dangerous paranoia."

Here's another: Does r/conspiratard exist to troll this sub or not? When someone here claims that sub shouldn't exist because it's main purpose is to undermine this sub, they claim r/conspiracy threads are simply side issues and only get caught up in the main purpose of that sub, which is to only make fun of bat shit insane conspiracies. Here's a link on their front page right now: I know we usually make fun of posts from conspiracy, but this onion article us just too beautiful.

Or it exists because the shit in this sub is simply too ridiculous not to mock.

Case in point all the shit you post.

Yup

How about you wake up from your paranoia induced sleep?

[deleted]

The only pill you took made you fall into a hefty sleep, where people actually give a shit about your life and this sub.

They don't.

I could now point out how you are trying to undermine me by the use of the word "kid".

However I'll just continue to laugh at you and your pathetic existence where you have absolutely nothing to do but sit around thinking the world is out to get you.

Now where I'm not a kid, you most certainly are a paranoid person with way too much time on your hands.

So you're using COINTELPRO tactics, shill!

Na, he's the direct link guy. He's been doing that for a couple days. Look at his history. It looks like almost every single time he lets this sub know when a thread is about to be vote brigaded, he gets a shitload of downvotes coincidentally.

Are you suggesting this list to be a set of guidelines/rules or a daily reminder of how cointelpro works?

There is nothing vague or subjective about them.

This shit is like a reverse honey pot.

The doublethink is strong with this one.

But my fear is that paranoia will result in discussions becoming one-sided and toxic. That doesn't sound good for attracting new members or convincing outsiders.
