Solidwhetstone wanted to improve this sub. A simple resignation would stop all of this distraction so that we can get back to discussing important stuff. Therefore, a resignation would improve this sub- the thing he/she originally wanted. Win/win for everybody. Case closed.

Easier to just stop making posts like this. I suspect the guy is a narcissist from reading the stuff he's posted, but I expect that in anyone who seeks such a position, so the replacement isn't going to be any better, and can only be worse insofar as he thinks he'd never make a mistake like whetstone did.

Personally, I had hoped the people populating this forum were better than the garden variety who would beat the hell out of anyone that made a mistake.

Well, we all know he's going to resign or be removed. It's just a matter of time. This issue isn't going away.

Why do you think he is your enemy? This is a waste of page-space. Ignore him. Go on posting. If he bans your account, take screenshots and make a new account and make a post about how you're being suppressed. Right now, everyone is demeaning themselves by attacking another person who is worthy of our respect. This issue is not as serious as it has been made out to be, but I have been seriously disappointed in the quality of this sub over the past few days.

What do you mean by "trolltards running rampant"? People posting dissenting opinions?

I frequent both /r/conspiracy and /r/conspiratard. Does that mean that I lose the right to post in one sub or the other?

He resigned. Case closed.

The problem appears to be that there are several mods who are closer to /r/conspiratard than to /r/conspiracy. They even want to make /u/solidwhetstone a mod over there. He goes there for advice, for support, and to be friends with them. He is one of them. He also wants to keep his power here, and it seems there is mod consensus that this is all okay.

This is the message they are sending us: /r/conspiratard is here to stay. Get used to having a shitty subreddit, because this is what we want.

/u/solidwhetstone's behaviour and the support he's getting from other mods make me think they are all having a good laugh over this behind the curtain.

Edit: It looks like he did the right thing and stepped away as mod permanently. I won't say another word about the guy and I hope he can go on to enjoy his Reddit experience (and his time in /r/conspiratard) better. Have fun.

Dude- it's over. I quit. You didn't hear?

thanks.

Yup. If any of the other mods actually care about the community (which I doubt), they must have felt it was politically infeasable to remove him. The effect is pretty much the same either way.

drama over, the queen is gone
