I suppose /r/conspiracy should also be on your list, look at all those censorship rules!

This is so cute. You psychos try too hard.

Whispers ominously They're all coming to get you.

Whispers ominously They're all coming to get you.

They are, judging by all the downvotes. Brigade much? Let me make a prediction for the record here. r/conspiratard will be banned in the near future for brigading. Hubris is the cornerstone of your circlejerk sub

And we have this little gem of yours further down this thread

Can't tell which of you are /r/conspiracy nutters and which of you are joking, this is the greatest thread ever. http://np.reddit.com/r/conspiracy/comments/1vi6ek/update_list_of_subreddits_to_avoid_if_you_want_to/cetc3fe

Yeah more than likely you're a conspiratard brigadier

I'm not sure if you noticed but my last submission to that sub day over a year ago.

Nice try, though. Really. I commend your paranoia.

You'd best add Reddit, Twitter, Facebook, and the internet to your crazy list.

Yes because only recommending links for your own political ideology is opening up for discussion and descent. . .

Yes. That libertarian crap is crap. Especially since it's not balanced by /r/socialism. Though forget/r/communism which seems to be run by the FBI and works very hard to make communism as boring as watching paint dry.

Most of the far left/far right subreddits are terrible places for discussion. /r/communism and /r/socialism included, unfortunately. That's just the nature of ideological subreddits.

You can't have a discussion on /r/communism but /r/socialism is a very good sub. Though...we are socialist.

Hmm. Seems better than I remembered, actually, but it's still obviously very much geared towards socialists so I wouldn't call it a good place for 'inter-ideology' discussion. I just remembered that /r/communism had these rules: "/r/Communism is strictly a Marxist forum. Non-Marxists are strongly encourage not to post here. If you feel the need to ignore this warning, do not advertise your ideology. You will be banned. This rule also applies to Zionists, police, and members of the armed forces of Capitalist nations."

I'm socialist leaning myself... but they seem a little bit nutty. /r/socialism seems interesting though, I might poke around a bit more.

I must say I enjoy that the forum in favor of Communism has all powerful leaders whom ban anyone who might have any kind dissenting opinion.

That just tickles my funny bone.

Intolerance for dissent causes descent. Into something...

Guilty of ... English? I mean, maybe I despise all you stand for, maybe not, but you should still know the difference between descent and dissent. Or maybe that isn't needed, if your mind is a cesspool of conspiracy-theory dysentery (see what I did there? It's a third homonym...I am so sorry for bringing this to your attention, puhleese don't criticize me....)

Do you have a life? I thought you were a bot but now I realize you're doing this manually... Like, do you think you're doing something or is mommy just not letting you out of the basement tonight?

I have to agree that, given the overall illiteracy, innumeracy, excessive self-regard, and sheer delusion in evidence on /r/conspiracy, any time spent wandering around it seems likely to be a frivolous waste. And that, in turn, suggests that I have no life. But I expected to be banned, or bananaed, whatever, for sidebar violation, which would force me to do something more useful. Hasn't happened yet. Oh dear, oh well.

Yes because only recommending links for your own political ideology is opening up for discussion and descent. . .

brigadier

more of a corporal if you want to get technical.

also, for future reference: ad hominem

I am corporeal. But not intemporal, I extend the paw of friendship to all and Sunday.

[deleted]

What?

Basically, just avoid anything that can be supported with any actual research, statistics, or facts.

Remember, don't trust ANYONE. Except conspiracy theorists on the internet, whom you can believe implicitly about everything regardless of how tenuous or illogical.

Possible conspiratard brigadier

I have to disagree with /r/worldpolitics being on the 'bad subreddit' list. It was specifically created as an alternative to r/worldnews and r/politics. It is also completely uncensored.

My bad, I put it there by mistake, I fixed it. ;)

Bullshit, this guy has been compromised!

Burn the witch?

Okay. Good job.

I would also add /r/gonewild and /r/nsfw to the list

I would also add /r/gonewild and /r/nsfw to the list

Possible conspiratard brigadier

Please include links and evidence to offending material that warranted them on this list.

Regardless if I "should" know, I don't like to merely take peoples word on the matter and will judge myself.

Edit Reading through the comments, regardless of the trolls. You seem to be adding every sub based on mere suggestion to the submitter without evidence. (poster for /r/guns seemed to be only one to even provide explanation)

This seems more like pure sensationalism and are added for the simple fact that they do not fit submitters[in this threads] particular narratives.

I have my own suspicions about a number of subs having mods bought out, but really this list you are making is the furthest from being something credible for how you've constructed and presented it.

Subscribe to /r/undelete for one week and you'll see exactly what I'm talking about.

I'm an active member of /r/undelete

a number of the ones people cry foul about clearly went against the subs long standing guidelines or policy and were clear cases of over-reacting and ignorance.

The only one i've noticed[lately] is /r/technology where they've suddenly started removing political articles and made the stealth edit to their guidelines.

My point still stands though. You should at least be posting 1 example and explanation of the behavior for each sub, as well as expecting the same from people that made requests to add others to the list.

If any of us here were interested at simply taking people's words for things, clearly we wouldn't be in this sub =)

You did check out -moose-'s collection of links didn't you? It has dozens of examples of mods taking bribes and suppressing information. You're asking me for proof when I already provided it. Go back and look at my post, look for the link to the moosearchive and start reading through the archive of links. If they're not damning enough for you then I don't know how to help you.

yes i've gleaned through his archive before

You're asking me for proof when I already provided it. [...] look for the link to the moosearchive and start reading through the archive of links.

That's not how you present an argument.

When you present a claim or counter an argument. You don't make people search through a haystack for a needle that you already know the location to.

There's over 2,000 links in that archive. it is in no way reasonable to expect anyone to sift through that to independently validate your claims

Assuming I read 10 links a day, i'd have to devote 200+ days confirming information you've already allegedly confirmed.

I'm merely asking for the relevant information you researched that led you to the conclusions to avoid said Subs.

Telling someone to "here's the pile, figure it out themselves" is not good intelligence sharing -.-

I never said all the subs were pure and you were wrong.

I said firstly i had my own suspicions, but requested the corresponding proof/speculation to each that led to them being listed. That link should be added to list of evidence which i'm still waiting for, for the other subs

You forgot /r/all, while you are at it.

Can you add /r/EnoughPaulSpam to the good guys list?

Can you add /r/EnoughPaulSpam to the good guys list?

Possible conspiratard brigadier

Great list.

I hadn't seen the Moose archive, that is impressive indeed.

That moose archive is a treasure trove. Thanks!

One good way to avoid corruption is not to let someone else tell you what you shouldn't be reading.

/r/Todayilearned is also a bad sub to add.

Why? It's full of misinformation. Don't you guys love that stuff?

How is /r/restorethefourth considered good?

[deleted]

Please add /r/GunsAreCool to your list. Definitely deserves to be on the "approved" list.

Possible conspiratard brigadier

/r/AsianHotties /r/asianhotbabes /r/AsiansGoneWild /r/AsianNSFW /r/AsianCumsluts were all compromised by chinese goverment agents who are trying to keep us jacking off on the PC the whole day and take over america.

BASTARDS!

It all makes sense now amirite?

Why don't you add those compromised subreddits to your list?

I would also add /r/globalresearch to the list.

Added, thank you.

I'd thinks twice about r/POLITIC. The good submissions are buried in a thick layer of worthless garbage. And the comments aren't even worth reading.

I'd suggest not even having a political sub on the radar. Mall thru do is divide.

That subreddit is run by a bot. All the bot does is take submissions from other subreddits on this list. So, if you didn't include it you wouldn't really be missing out on much. So long as you had the rest on your list.

How about this: If you find a couple sources you trust, make a reading list/RSS feed/meta reddit?

Makes a pretty useless sub unless you invest a heap of time looking through posts then 'ay.

On your news feed you'll just get the top posts.

To see how Republicans are REALLY Screwing You Over, you need to Read: \environment \democrats

Otherwise, you're the sucker.

Can't tell which of you are /r/conspiracy nutters and which of you are joking, this is the greatest thread ever.

worldnews isn't so bad

It's pretty bad. I started using worldpolitics.

We appreciate the shout out for r/descentintotyranny. Could we get /r/EndlessWar listed as a goodguy subreddit too?

Done, thank you. ;)

/r/music

They hate it when you post music.

Thank you much

thanks for these.

[deleted]

People really need to see those, though. I think it's very important people know about all the blatant corruption.

I agree with you. I just hope truth and not corruption prevails.

Please also add r/conspirators and r/Conspirology to the good guys list

"Good guys"

"Good guys"

Oh you're one of the shills from r/conspiratard http://www.reddit.com/r/conspiratard/comments/1v6ba4/z/cepcc0n

EDIT: downvoted by the daily r/conspiratard brigade. What's the matter, struck a nerve? ;)

Yes, I am a shill, you have caught me. I am shilling, I am a professional shiller, #shilling.

What are the rates like? Was it a tough job to get? Was the interview held in that secret underground illuminati bunker/palace?

Shills are a dime a dozen. The real work is in crisis acting.

Holy shit I thought you were a bot.

Holy shit I thought you were a bot.

I've had posts in /r/conspiracy as well. I'm not a brigadier.

I've had posts in /r/conspiracy as well. I'm not a brigadier.

That's why I said "Possible", instead of "Absolutely most definitely positively"

Right, well if I was posting to both subs it's very unlikely isn't it, so what you probably should have done is not quote me back at all.

Right, well if I was posting to both subs it's very unlikely isn't it, so what you probably should have done is not quote me back at all.

It's not unlikely at all actually. It could well be your cover to make us not suspect you're a conspiratard brigadier/troll

Holy shit you are the real deal.

Sometimes when they forget to take their medication they tend to do that.

[deleted]

Why? Because they never link peer-reviewed info on climate change denial? I hate to break it to you, but they were breaking the rules and clogging up bandwidth with garbage.

[deleted]

Haha

more recs:

more questionable subs:

edit - wow I musta hit on something with a recent post. This went from +2 to -3 in a few minutes. Everything else I've submitted recently also down a few notches.

All added, this will be a handy tool for all of us. Thank you.

I question /r/guns because of this. When I tried to reason with them on pm, they tried to doxx me. At any rate, I'd say be careful there.

Well, most of the stuff is removed. Care to give an explanation?

I forgot how I found out, but they have what they call "stonerbot." Basically if you post on /r/guns and /r/trees with the same account, it saves your post history data. What is actually done with that data I don't know. It just pissed me off that that fact was not in the sidebar or something for their users to know. My post reached the top within 2hrs and then it was removed shortly after for not having a [meta] tag.

On my way out of that subscription I was accused of being a felon and or sticking up for them and got called a bunch of names. It's whatever, I just thought that the people there should know about this stonerbot thing and should protect themselves. The fact that I brought that idea to the table pissed them off apparently.

[deleted]

Are you joking? /r/science is one of the few subreddits where I consistently find engaging, intellectual comments. Their mods are pretty serious about monitoring for trolls and non-peer reviewed articles, but I appreciate that. I know reddit isn't a scientific journal, but it's nice to have a diverse population of subreddits that cater to as many people as possible.

[deleted]

Peer reviewed just means that many others have checked it, and have replicated results. It doesn't mean that their theories are fact, but it does show that their results and evidence are. Science isn't subjective, and so the evidence shouldn't be either.

as corrupt.

/r/science is completely corrupt. If you post anything questioning the official story, it gets deleted.

If you're so poorly educated you believe Climate Change isn't real, yes, you're going to have a problem. Just like gravity, and genetics ( "Darwinism" ), bullish#t is a waste of time.

1) Go get your GED 2) Go to your local community college and take: Econ101, Biology101 and Ecology 101, then come back.

If you're so poorly educated you believe ...

Science is not about belief you brainwashed imbecile. It is about observation, measurement, and asking questions. /r/science on the other had is about enforcing an orthodoxy of belief. You got that part right, probably unintentionally.

That's right, \science is about PROOF, and Global Warning Denial has NEVER BEEN PROVED, it's always been debunked, for the last 40 years, there's been 1 bulllsh#t idea after another while the world gets hotter.

If you're reading a blog that makes you think it isn't happening then your words apply to you: "brainwashed imbecile"

Proven. The word you're looking for is proven.

Wrong. PROOFs are for logic and mathematics. If you think that science is about PROOF you really do not understand it.

You know very little about the words you use.

You know very little about the words you use.

Possible conspiratard brigadier

At least I understand the scientific method, which is something you seem not to have ever encountered.

[deleted]

I know you are but what am I?

You're also illiterate (as indicated by my edit of previous comment).

PRO TIP: i'm not the redditor you assumed I was.

[deleted]

Please explain (using the scientific method) to explain how you concluded (based on zero data relevant to the question) that I am ignorant of the method, oh wait, that's an impossible task. So, we're back to the "you're a lying cunt" litany.

Here's an example: Climate Change Scientists are ACCURATELY Predicting Weather Events, while the denial community has a track record of ZERO.

http://climatecrocks.com/2014/01/16/dr-andrew-desslers-senate-testimony/

You don't even know how to construct a simple syllogism. Besides which, your claim is demonstrably wrong. The AGW community is thrashing around quite obnoxiously trying to find some explanation as to where all the warming their models have predicted has gone since it cannot be accounted for in the atmospheric temperature record. Go away, little child.

And here's why you Denier's look like fools: Fox News, funded by Exxon.

http://climatecrocks.com/2014/01/17/theres-dirt-stupid-and-then-theres-fox-stupid/

Ooh, I bow to the superior intellect. Next you are going to tell me that Plato and Aristotle were morons.

[deleted]

Actually what I said is that /r/science is a crap subreddit that does not allow real discussion of difficult topics.

If you think there's a conspiracy to make everyone believe in global warming, why are they doing such a shit job of it?

Possible conspiratard brigadier

When did I say that I thought that climate change wasn't real? Anyone who thinks that is just stupid. But that isn't the only thing that they censor.

Edit: I would like to clarify something, as it seems some people seem to be misunderstanding what I said. I believe that climate change is definitely real. Again, that is not the only issue that /r/science has forbade it's userbase from talking about. Things like water fluoridation and GMOs are also no-nos over there.

You need to read about Australia.

[deleted]

you need to PROVE your bullish#t on \science. The only place you hear any global warming denial is on Blogs, and Fox Idiot News. Global Warming has been proven beyond a shadow of a doubt.

As a matter of fact Republicans are admitting it's real, and man made. You folks deep in the woods, or listen to senile incompetent radio shows, are the suckers being fooled.

Today, being registered a Republican is a Red Flag, saying: I'm the idiot here, screw me with a bad mortgage, frack me and give me a disease, destroy my forest, kill off my hunting and fishing lands, pollute my water, kill my social security, take away my unemployment, let wall street rip me off, and set up lots of bad schools in my district with uneducated teachers, and no school certification, plus, privatize my public services, raising my taxes 400%, while giving the 1% a built in Tax Advantage where you will Never Catch Up.
