Who else is concerned about all the recent murders committed by police for absolutely no reason?

Kids being shot for holding a wii controller? Dogs being shot for no reason? I see a new story in r/ news everyday. And some people aren't convinced we live in a police state?

The public is being fed stories of police brutality to instill a fear and mistrust of the police. The police in turn are taught to be afraid of the public. This done is so that under no circumstance will the two groups come together for a common cause. The most threatening scenario to the ruling class is one in which the economic classes and praetorian class (federal employees & police) are united. Yes, the police are definitely committing acts of violence, but do not succumb to the illusion being crafted here.

That makes sense.

I think it's too late for me, because I'm fucking terrified of the police.
6 EnoughNoLibsSpam 2014-02-19
If you are terrified of police, does that mean police are terrorists?
I think by any definition of terrorism, the answer is yes

Domestic terrorism

I tried but I couldn't because the people aren't looking at the camera.

So is that why 99% of the only sources that report on it consistently are alternative news sites on the internet?

I think the more accurate statement would be that every class of people is fed fear porn, and all of it prevents progress.

There should be a website called something like KilledByCops which has a number tally of all the unjustly killed Americans and then case studies and photos that tell their stories. Could be hugely powerful.

I don't think this is true at all. Pretty much every one of these stories has been in the local news, they just don't all get national coverage.

This exactly

An interesting perspective. One other thing I've wondered...whether all of this police-initiated violence we're hearing about has always existed and it's just now being reported on.
1 amandez 2014-02-19
That was my question exactly.

Google the militarization of America's police. There should be some good articles. SWAT teams for drug busts, no knock raids, shooting dogs...these things are becoming normal and all the while the military is sending equipment home that they no longer need and giving it to police.
Be ready to see armored vehicles on the streets, some PDs already have them.

They think they're sneaky. The couldn't use the military on the streets here because people would be outraged, so they used the slow-burn method and gradually turned the police INTO the military. Complete with funding and weapons and training provided by the military/DHS
6 Ambiguously_Ironic 2014-02-19
There's also the fact that many soldiers become police officers upon leaving the military.

Evidently earning an honest living hasnt crossed some peoples minds.

funny enough, this is how the samurai became the ruling class of japan. The then called, mononofu, were regional police and eventually seized power and became the samurai.

Search for exact numbers of people killed by police, they don't exist except one random guy's blog. They shoot first, ask questions later, and then get desk duty for a few weeks.

The only thing a cop can do to get "discipline" is to show up late for his shift. You want to shoot someones dog? No problem!

Concerned would be putting it lightly

I am very concerned. This place is my home. I live in Kentucky and although I haven't read of any police murdering innocents in cold blood here, they still happen elsewhere. It is total injustice. Most, if not all of the police who do the murdering get away with it scot-free. What's wrong with this picture?
Americans refuse to acknowledge that we are getting closer and closer to martial law. We live in a police state. That fact isn't any "conspiracy mambo jumba". Try and tell this to someone who isn't awake and aware and it's like your speaking another form of language. It's depressing me.
So much fear is being conjured, so much innocent blood is being spilled.
I would like to think that someday soon Americans will have an awakening to what is going on around them, a revelation of sorts. And in this they will fight back. A balanced human being with justice mentality can achieve so much, and so much more when they are grouped together, fighting for a righteous cause.
I'd like to think this will come soon, but it's just wishful thinking..

Because we need them to be our friends, but it won't happen. Forces are attempting to ensure conflict.

cop in the middle looks like one of those flappy headed canadiens.

The inclusion of wildncuzimyoung666's account stats make the rest of your comment a violation of Rule 10 so I've removed it. Please edit out the reference to OP then let me know and I'll re-approve your comment.

CATO wants you to report, then the information can be re-distributed across the nation and treated as common.
Where are your statistical sources to support your claim, that police are committing more murders than before, and what is the time frame reference?

This is such a crock of shit, you think they put EVERY story out there of a cop shooting someone or beating someone to near death? Statistics matter none.
-3 [deleted] 2014-02-19
Only hear about the negative not about the positive, and every single thing is reported on instantly which was never the case before the internet age.
