Looking at the poster's profile we see their entire link karma is generated from this one link. Redditor for five months. Only two comments posted, ever.

I scroll down a bit, not sure if I'm expecting it or not, and then BAM, there it is. And the subsequent hee-haw'ing bash-a-thon.

It's not just swaying of conversation that they do, derailing and whatnot. They try their hardest to pre-emptively mold the day's discussions and inject the herd-mentality bias before any dissenting or otherwise objective views can be formed.
