My subreddit "Reddit Lies" really bothers the spooks on this website. Every time I post about it, they come and downvote every post. It is interesting to watch.

Well, I, for one, am just tired of seeing it posted here without offering any explanation. There was a period last week where almost every post had you commenting "www.reddit.com/r/redditlies". Following reddiquette, that warrants a downvote. Sorry, but maybe add content to your posts first and THEN promote your own subreddit.

On a related not, have you messaged the mods about getting your subreddit put on the sidebar here?

Every single time I posted a link to my subreddit, it was in a thread specifically about something happening on reddit that was questionable.

I am sorry that you could not make that obvious connection. And why shouldn't I do that? If I was to make a subreddit specifically about the Boston Bombing conspiracies, it would not be unreasonable to invite people from those threads.

Especially since the r/conspiracy subreddit has turned into an absolute joke.

Gee, I wonder why you get downvoted into oblivion? You have such a great personality and a phenomenal sense of common courtesy, I can't imagine what happened...

As a member of the reddit community who is not a fan of this sub, I still agree with /u/tft2 and /u/Start_button.

I was talking about the posts on the subreddit. Not comments.

But why couldn't you give some reasoning behind your comment instead of just spamming the link? You need to realize what that look like to people who aren't you.

Because he was too busy letting everyone know how much smarter he is than they are.

From what we've already seen that takes up most of his time.

Actually provide constructive criticism to a comment or add something useful to the conversation? Ain't nobody got time for that...

Posting a link to my subreddit on a relevant post is not spam. I did it maybe 10 times over the span of a week.

But it is perceived as spam when you post nothing else. I'm just telling you how it's perceived.

Post nothing else? I have been posting tons of shit constantly. Look at my history if you don't believe me.

I meant the comments that have the link for your subreddit.

You do know that the Reddit voting algorithm automatically Downvotes things right?

Just to test it you should post random items and see if you get the same response.

Reddit only downvotes items that are being upvoted if I'm not mistaken.

If you post something and it gets 7 downvotes without any upvotes than I don't think it is reddit.

What I'm curious about is the downvote echoes. When I make controversial comments all my comments from the past day or so get downvotes that disappear reliably over time. It seems like there is some mechanism that prevents people from blanket-downvoting comment histories. You get the downvotes, but they disappear in an hour or two, mostly.

Hmmm, that's a possibility. It would make sense.

I don't know any specifics though. I have only heard that they try to even out the votes.

I think if you go to someone's user page and mass downvote, reddit will start giving a -1 AND a +1 vote after a certain # of downvotes.

I was referring to the posts in the subreddit. I re-read my title and realized I didn't make that clear enough.

Honestly if there is a job that pays someone to downvote reddit threads all day, where do I sign up?

The naive is strong in this one.

Nah. It's reddit so someone else would just repost it anyway.

Weird. I subscribed and upvoted a few stories (to balance out the shills :-) ). I then left the sub and came back to it and our the sticky story was visible. when I sign out, all the stories reappear.

Oddly it's 3am in the UK and there are 37 visitors on your sub. Seems a lot for a brand new sub...

I would say reddits hate your sub. (Especially the images you've used on the header). Reddit will be looking for ANY reason to ban the sub so be careful you stick to all the rules.

Have you considered the possibility that you might be exhibiting tenets of sadism?

look at his account.

There's no denying it, that's exactly what it is. I find it entertaining.

I'm gonna follow you around and upvote everything now. Just to balance out the universe.

That's cool. Everyone needs to do what's best for them, so if this endeavor will make you happy I'll be your biggest cheerleader. I like people to be happy. Most of them, at least.

I just downvoted the first few new submissions in Hail Corporate, so you may want to start there. I'll be online again tomorrow at around 10am EST to downvote some of OP's most recent posts, so that will be a good time to get on and undo the damage I've done.

Good luck!

You're the worst. It would make me happy if you get hit by a bus. Now go make me happy.

Stalkers suck.

It's a blessing and a curse.

Lovin it! lol

God, I feel bad for whoever gave birth to you... I mean, they definitely can't be proud of you for this lol. I mean, when you were growing up, did you really strive to be an Internet stalker? Yikes.

Good luck in life buddy.
