Why do you expect there to be coverage elsewhere about this? We are in Canada; the local sub, national sub, and world news are covering it. What else do you want to see?
There's nothing new to report - what do you expect? We don't beat things to death here like American news does .. when there's something worth reporting, you'll know.
I've been following three threads about this incident; worldnews, moncton, and canada subs each have a thread. What's odd about that? There's over 3000 comments in the worldnews thread, over 1800 in the canada one.
Compared to reddit's coverage of every other shooting, yeah, there's a bit of discrepancy in its visibility. I even had to tell someone in this very thread what was going on.
This is a very American-centric website; the US news outlets aren't covering it as much as they would a US shooting, so many people might not be aware of it for that simple fact. You're trying to find a conspiracy when there isn't one.
Who said it's less tragic? I'm just saying that we don't sensationalise stuff the same way the Americans do, and since this site is predominantly used by Americans .. it only makes sense that it would, overall, be less visible than a similar attack that happened in the US.
Well, the visibility of a post is usually determined by affective it is, whether tragic or hilarious, so its safe to say there's a direct correlation.
I understood what you said the first time but i just dont agree that just because its from canada people would all of care less when considering how much of a tender wound shootings are in America.
We ruin every half baked amateur false flag they throw at us. Usually the same day. It's no wonder they want this bullshit on the other side of the planet from us.

Canadian media are not falling into the media circus mindset popular here. Plus no actual new developments means not much more news.

We're trying not to at least.

The less news coverage on this kind of dumb crap the better.

I'm out of this loop, what's going on?

Did you look at the /r/canada sub or moncton's sub? There's lots of posting about it there.
The only censorship I see is from /r/worldnews and you shouldn't be subbed to them anyways!

Not much elsewhere though

Im saying there's a definite lack of visibility compared to other shootings and i don't think it matters much if its in canada or not
Edit: how about you try logging out and trying to find this on the frontpage

Visibility at least.
Log out and try to find it on the frontpage. This is in no way consistent with past shooting coverage. Prove me wrong

You think there's a filter on the word Canada?

it is a little odd how little coverage there's been on reddit and, sadly, it wouldn't be the first time

You see, i don't agree with that. I don't think it matters that its in Canada, shooting like this dont become any less tragic.
