Imagine how many valid comments are vanished by downvoters (or bots) on reddit. Now imagine how many actual posts with full articles never see the light of day because the powers-that-be are gaming this site.

More than a few. Astroturfing is widespread here. Liking whoaverse.com as an alternative.

At least some of those stories have a chance now. Imagine how much truth had vanished before the Internet. The current state of affairs are far from acceptable, but at least these stories have a chance on getting out decent people will find out eventually.
