Anyone else notice the mainstream media has more or less gone quiet regarding the "out of control " ebola outbreak? Don't you feel calm now citizen?

I still hear about it every day. What do you watch or listen to that's stopped?

I will second this. I see articles every day on the outbreak.

Here is the latest update in case you missed it.
They make no mention of wether or not this doctor is cured. Still calm citizen?

Yea but all you hear is the same recycled shit. The doctors in Atlanta showed signs of improvement after taking the experimental serum. OK well that was a couple weeks ago. How are they now? The only thing we hear is how the situation is deteriorating in Africa but it all seems to take a back seat to what Kim Kardashian ate for lunch. Like page 6 stuff. Am I wrong?

I hear about Ebola outbreak every morning on my way to work and on the way home. What are your sources?
-1 [deleted] 2014-08-19
Usually multiple news outlets. What are your sources? Frankly I just don't think the public is giving it enough attention. That's my point. It's become an afterthought now. No one cares. The masses are calm as Hindu cows

Public radio. Reddit. BBC.

Just the other day some ebola patients in Liberia were "kidnapped" by family but have now been located and brought to another facility. Does that count as new information?

Not really no, My concern is the doctors in Atlanta. Do you have any updates on them?

How about now?

That's because Ebola can't spread that much in western countries anyway. The only people at risk are Africans and media doesn't give a fuck about them.

Wrong. Ignorant assumption. GTFO.

Allow me to redirect you to this post by the chief medical correspondent at CNN. Do note this post was made after mine, just a good indicator that I knew this beforehand and hadn't just read it. I'm far from uneducated on the topic.
I'm not sure how much clearer one can be on the topic.
You however are the kind of person who spreads disinformation so long as it incriminates someone or something, instead of actually researching something. This thread is stupid, if the media were talking about Ebola all the time you guys would be saying "LOOK THE GOVERNMENT IS TRYING TO RULE BY FEAR" and since it isn't because ebola, while a horrible disease, hardly puts any of us at risk, everyone is grabbing their pitchforks and going "LOOK THE GOVERNMENT IS CONTROLLING THE POPULATION BY WITHHOLDING INFORMATION".
There is no conspiracy here, ebola is as dangerous to us as AIDS is to an asexual who doesn't take drugs, sure there's a possibility that it'll be transmitted over to us but the odds are minimal.

Woops, fixed.
-1 angryRake 2014-08-19
Yeah, you're right, there is no conspiracy.. but ebola has the ability to spread to all humans.. regardless where they live. It's not airborn per sey but fluids can be transferred through the air in moisture droplets.. a sneeze, a cough etc. You don't know the first thing about me so stop pretending you do. Fuck off you little muppet.
