Ain't it funny how the factory's doors close
Round the time that the school doors close
Round the time that the doors of the jail cells
Open up to greet you like the reaper
My favorite band right now. Practically therapy. All the mentions here are wonderful, but I think "bullet in the head" is the real swan song of the u.s.
Also "roll right" off evil empire has such a good groove. "Roll right, roll call; now we're alright, we're all calm!!!" "Don't freeze when zero hour comes"
Rage against the machine has not written a song that's as fucked up as America is right now. But the title should be "You have been sold out because you won't do shit to stop it".
Heh. I remember when 'Killing in the Name' of, used to play me and my mates would shout "Fuck you, we work for Sony!", instead of "Fuck you, I won't do what I tell you".
The massive PR campaign that pushed these guys when they first came on the scene certainly had some serious corporate backing.

"Sleep now in the fire".
This live performance always gives me goosebumps on the "there is no other pill to take" line.
Lyrics:
The world is my expense
The cost of my desire
Jesus blessed me with its future
And I protect it with fire
So raise your fists and march around
Just don't take what you need
I'll jail and bury those committed
And smother the rest in greed
Crawl with me into tomorrow
Or i'll drag you to your grave
I'm deep inside your children
They'll betray you in my name
Hey! Hey! Sleep now in the fire
Hey! Hey! Sleep now in the fire
The lie is my expense
The scope with my desire
The party blessed me with its future
And i protect it with fire
I am The Nina, The Pinta, The Santa Maria
The noose and the rapist, the fields overseer
The agents of orange
The priests of Hiroshima
The cost of my desire
Sleep now in the fire
Hey! Hey! Sleep now in the fire
Hey! Hey! Sleep now in the fire
For it's the end of history
It's caged and frozen still
There is no other pill to take
So swallow the one
That makes you ill
The Nina, the Pinta, the Santa Maria
The noose and the rapist, the fields' overseer
The agents of orange
The priests of Hiroshima
The cost of my desire
Sleep now in the fire

It has to be Bulls on Parade, the song is all about governments use of military contracts for business revenues. Its classic Smedley Butler material.

I also vote for Bulls on Parade. Although Guerilla Radio is pretty fitting as well.

You just made my day with this post.
I've been listening to their albums everyday trying to build up the strength to make a bigger difference in the world.
How about the best line for what I hope is coming to the western world.
"How long? Not long! Cause what you reap is what you sow!!"

Ashes in The Fall has been my favorite song for a long time.
Very funny how the fat cat doors close,
round the time that the school doors close,
round the time that 100,000 jails open up to greet you,
like the reverb.

I'd like to suggest the band Propaghandi's album "How To Clean Everything" as a relevant source of material.
