The whole keeps getting bigger...

For my English class I'm writing a research paper on PNAC's involvement in 9/11 and whatnot. As I look for a place to begin, I find more and more information. My question to you guys/gals is, where do I start?

JFK, Bush and the CIA is a good place to write a "Genesis" chapter of the neo-cons.

Start with Rebuilding America's Defenses and track down where each one of the authors were leading up to 9/11 (not physically, but what positions in government and corporate power structure). That's a good start.

I'm not sure if I understand what you're saying. The paper is the specific conspiracy connected to PNAC, are you saying to research those involved, and go from there or something different than that?

My apologies for being unclear.
I'm saying that if I were to do this project, what would make a compelling case to me would be:
The authors of Rebuilding America's Defenses benefitted tremendously from an event that they 'predicted' would happen. By acknowledging this, and showing who benefitted and how, would be a great starting point if I were to do it again based on what I know now (9/11 happened when I was in 10th grade).
Does that help?

Yes, thanks for clarifying.

The honest truth is from WWII kick starting the military industry. Since then, the U.S. has kept searching for conflicts to get involved in, and has agents worldwide agitating and manufacturing when they do not have a solid excuse. Who put Saddam Hussein in charge? Who manufactures the most weapons in the world? Which country spends over half of their annual budget on weapons for "defense"?

You'll probably need to cut down the scope a bit or you'll end up writing a tome. I'd suggest focusing on a couple individuals and their connections to the bigger picture.
L Paul Bremmer or Dov zackheim for instance. Maybe some of the grammar nazis in this thread can do something useful and correct my spelling.
Your goal can't really be to cover everything, so focus on something like exposing your audience to some factual conflicts of interest or something like that.
Good luck and have fun.

You should start by learning proper English.

This would probably be why a non-native speaker is... wait for it... in English class.

Why am I a non-native speaker? I'm American. And to the first comment, proper English? What's wrong with what I said? Please give me your English wisdom.

Your phrasing in your OP is a bit unusual for native speakers, but consistent with people who speak certain European languages.

I admit, it is worded a bit wierd. But I just type out what I'm thinking, and not really think about how it would look to others.

Hole not whole. What grade are you in Op?
2 monkeydonut13 2014-09-25
I ment it as hole, but I hit the wrong suggested word on accident. But it apparently makes since both ways.

Fair enough.

I took it to mean "the whole" as in the whole thing keeps getting bigger and bigger.

What is your problem?

Whole/hole

Internet forums arent a good place for perfect dialogue. To harp on him like that is disingenuous.

I have an android, anyone who has one can say this is a problem. As you type the phone spells words at the top of the keyboard and sometimes I hit the word when I don't mean to. Sorry for the fault of hitting the wrong thing.

Whole is still fine in this instance. The entire story keeps getting bigger = the whole.

Thank you
