ive converted 3 of my smoking friends to vaporizers. The days of smoking that cowboy shit that causes cancer is over. Phillip morris can keep up or go broke- unless they can usurp govt to be their gun in the room.

If this is true, it is an interesting example of cronyism. Thank you for sharing. This anti-smoking bullshit got way out of hand with bans on smoking inside private establishments, which is a blatant and unnecessary restriction on the freedom of private business owners. Now it's even worse with the banning of smoking in open-air public areas like parks and certain streets for literally no good reason. And finally when people are finding safer alternatives to smoking, they are getting the same bans in restaurants, and even, mind-blowingly, in public outdoor areas, which once again only hurt the freedoms of individuals (after all no one is getting fucking second hand "smoke" from vapor cigs whether you're inside or out!).

Really? There's LITERALLY no reason you can think of for banning smoking in public places? As for E-cigs, they don't help people quit. They are just another product to be addicted to.

Yes, in an open-air area like a park I highly doubt the effects of secondhand smoke (which I'm pretty sure has been exaggerated significantly in the first place) will be anything other than negligent. If you don't want to be near someone's smoke, go somewhere else in the park. I can understand banning it on the sidewalk in certain places but on beaches and parks it makes no sense. You shouldn't be asking the government to protect you from a smell, if you don't like smoke it is your personal responsibility to avoid it not the government's responsibility to ban it.

Think you need to retract your ignorant statement. I know plenty of people myself included who have quit using ecigs. I still use mine with no nicotine in it just cause I like the flavor but yeah think it's better to have vaping then smoking actual cigarettes.

You sir are a idiot. E-cigs are in fact addictive, but why in the hell should that be a problem? Caffeine is just as addictive, hell I have coworkers who crave their coffees more than I crave my e-cigarette. Speaking of which I can go hours without my e-cig (WITH nicotine), but when I smoked I couldn't even go do the groceries without having a smoke on the way there(and on my way back).

Besides plenty of studies have showed they are about 400 times less harmful to people than cigarettes. http://onvaping.com/the-ultimate-list-of-studies-on-e-cigarettes-and-their-safety/

"E-cigarettes should be taxed at a rate that discourages children to use them."

Yes, because children pay for their own ecigs with their hard-earned paychecks...

No discussion of the tobacco industry and Congress would be complete without the video clip about John Boehner passing out tobacco lobbyists' checks during a House vote on their subsidies.

Wrong forum honestly. I am a huge casaa and vape militia advocate, but seriously; wrong forum.

It isn't a conspiracy if everyone agrees. Not a single person I've ever met thinks what the government doing here is right or just. It's just that popular opinion hasn't mattered in this country for decades.

I guess there's no conspiracy here. It's all facts :(

You are confusing the word conspiracy with the term conspiracy theory.

A conspiracy is a plan by two or more people to do something harmful or illegal. There are many conspiracies that have been proven by facts.

Big tobacco lobbying the FDA to ban e-cigs is the very definition of a conspiracy. It is 2 or more people working against the public good.

wrong forum

I disagree. Theres a possible conspiracy by the government to keep healthier options closed off to protect the profits of Big Tobacco.

That premise is certainly r/conspiracy material.

So many wrong statements, this post makes me cringe. Quoting the CDC and FDA.... really???

BTW I agree with everything you say about CIGARETTES. But you really need to get your facts straight about e-cigarettes.
