This subreddit really needs a filtering system. Filter out self-post. Filter out Zionist. Filter out blogposts. Filter out Sandy Hook. Etc...

To clarify: nothing would be deleted. We would have filtering channels to the left, like they have at r/worldnews.
................
I know it would take a little while to set-up but it would streamline the user-experience on this subreddit in amazing ways.
And before anyone gets antsy, I just chose the topics in the title at random. Don't look too far into it.

All this "rage" about what's being posted here...
Down vote and move along. Promoting censorship isn't the answer.

Read the clarification edit.

The last thing we need to do is to make this place more like /r/worldnews. Bad, bad idea. Ignore what you don't like rather than filtering it out of general view.

I agree that worldnews is a shit place, but they have a good subreddit system.
What if we had the opposite kind of idea, and you could click on a topic and ONLY get those threads? Like, if you only wanted to see the Sandy Hook topics?

Use the Search feature.

Or you could just ignore what you don't like instead of trying to turn this sub into r/worldnews.
0 putin_hates_cats 2014-12-12
It wouldn't take away from the sub, only enhance the experience. There are so many different things that fall under the umbrella of "conspiracy". Why not make it easier to navigate?

Pretty sure this is one of the forums with the lowest tolerance of that sort of censorship.

It's not censorship if nothing is being blocked. I think the OP meant for users to use so they can wade through stuff they see as bullshit.
1 putin_hates_cats 2014-12-12
Nothing would be censored, just organized better.
3 thc1967 2014-12-12
OH, so by "FILTER OUT", you meant give the user the option to apply filters to topics, not have the forum filter it out automagically?
1 putin_hates_cats 2014-12-12
Yes!!! I hate to say "like r/worldnews" because I hate that place. But yeah, like the system they have there.

Cool. I clearly misunderstood.

My downvote is a brutal one.

A solution to your problem already exists: /r/enhancement ; there's no need to add overhead to this sub.

Why are people so bent on drawing lines for others i will never understand...
2 jafbm 2014-12-12
Why? Those topics are the whole point of this subreddit. If you want to filter crap out, join one of the altalt media subreddits such as ConspiracyFact

I don't like the idea personally. And there are a lot of posts on this sub and relatively few mods. Labeling every post, and determining what to label them, would require time and effort and would be prone to subjectivity while also limiting the information people are exposed to.
As an example, what if someone misses a post that would've opened their eyes to something new because they had a filter set to ignore that specific topic?
And what if a topic is about Zionism and how it's linked to 9/11? Do we tag it 9/11 or do we tag it Zionism? There are a lot of posts here that span multiple subjects.
1 asdsadfb 2014-12-12
here is a better idea, ask the RES team to implement filters that one can pick for himself
edit: well snap, another poster hints that it already does it
1 sudo-tleilaxu 2014-12-12
How do I filter out posts by keyword in RES?
0 psynnn 2014-12-12
I've said this for years: We need a system like r/science.
3 IntellisaurDinoAlien 2014-12-12
We? You've been here a month and post in conspiratard. Which conspiracy subjects would you keep? Serious question.
-1 psynnn 2014-12-12
My username is a month old, yes. I've been on reddit MUCH longer than that.
All of them. Like in r/science.
3 IntellisaurDinoAlien 2014-12-12
I swear I've never seen you post a positive comment about any conspiracies here, ever.
