What are the Sydney gunman's demands?

The Australian police are doing a great job of gagging the MSM but surely Streisand effect should be in operation. Anyone know what the hidden demands are, what are they so afraid of getting out?

Edit: I'm talking about what is said here from 2:40 on http://www.rte.ie/radio/utils/radioplayer/rteradioweb.html#!rii=9%3A20697643%3A48%3A15%2D12%2D2014%3A

He[the gunman] has in the past hour and a half listed three demands. The police has only allowed media to carry two of those demands.

Edit 2: It was to give a message to his brothers asking them not to detonate bombs that apparently exist elsewhere in the city. http://siliconangle.com/files/2014/12/sydney-hostage.jpg I guess the police wanted to avoid a panic but fingers crossed they got the instructions anyway.

Not sure, was hoping someone here can shed some light because the MSM here is not releasing the information.

Turns out he claimed to have bombs around the city and asked for a message to be sent to his brothers asking them not to detonate. Police want to avoid panic and have been pushing the "we have no physical evidence of bombs" line to help avoid that.

Apparently this; it's from a channel 10 journo; https://pbs.twimg.com/media/B44LOKmCcAAwZ80.jpg

According to the radio this morning there was a third demand that the police told the MSM to not report.

i saw a fb post from someone who's supposedly a hostage; she posted those 2 demands and the 3rd was for the media to broadcast a message to his 2 brothers not to detonate the other 2 bombs.

The conspiracy here being they don't want people to panic really.

Thanks for posting all three demands.

I see, thanks for the info. Fingers crossed his brothers got the message, it'd be terrible if their attempt to keep this quiet led to the bombs going off.

Hold on, so the police told the MSM not to report something - And you think it'd be a great idea to find out what that was... To I assume, report it?

Isn't that the point of this subreddit?

Lets say the media were told not to report that the police are actively extracting hostages from the store as well as installing surveillance devices in and around the store.

Do you think it's a good idea to report what the police is doing?

Seeing as he knows the demands, because he made them, this would not reveal any information to him that he doesn't know. Let alone any information on the police op.

Unless he's got multiple personality disorder and the second personality is secretly running the extraction op.

If they went through the effort of packing a different flag and guns could they not have planned to order their own IS flag in advance?

They asked for something they could have ordered online for a few dollars as a demand for a hostage released, it is just ridiculous in the context of a hostage negotiation that shut down Australia's largest economic hub.

There are videos floating around of the hostages with the demands if you really want to know.

They get removed pretty quick.

  • an Isis/isil flag

  • a public conversation with the pm

And some time on tv

I'm in Australia and have been following closely

They want to speak to the pm (will never happen)

They want an ISIS flag (no idea why)

The current Flag being displayed is a generic Islamist symbol adopted by various anti-Assad factions in Syrian civil war. Likelihood is the terrorists here used it in error, mistaking it for IS flag.

I swear if you fucks turn this into a conspiracy I'm gonna fucking cry.

I swear if you fucks turn this into a conspiracy I'm gonna fucking cry.

It is a conspiracy subreddit, that's what we do here. If that twists your titties to the point of tears then you should be browsing a different subreddit.

Sincerely,

The fucks

He has a point in that trying desperately to turn something into a conspiracy is counter productive, distracting and makes a community look too idiotic to take seriously. In my case I had a specific example of something being hidden I was curious about, but I wasn't like staring into people's eyes on videos trying to determine if they were crises acting or some such rubbish that goes on elsewhere on this subreddit.

Conspiracies should be based on evidence, not blind speculation.

Der it's a conspiracy subreddit but your discrediting every conspiracy theorist in the world with random claims with no evidence.

If there is objective evidence then it has left the realm of theory and become something else.

Every conspiracy theorist in the world doesn't have to answer for the claims of one.

You're not your, in your context.

Thanks.

That's the joke. Like how starting the post with "Der" isn't correct grammar either.

I guess I'll have to claim woosh.

This place is a joke now.

It is all "drug war is bad man!" And libertarian spam bullshit, always pushing an agenda.

Talk about JFK, talk about 9/11 talk about Area 51 talk about the Tuskegee experiments but for the love of all that is holy, this "DAE think pot should be legal and cops are bad" bullshit needs to end

Please feel free to make some quality posts about those subjects.

Funny you have hundreds of submissions to ask reddit and none here. Stop bitching and get submitting. It looks like you care more about the content in the wrestling subs than here.

According to national news here three demands were issued but the police are asking the media to only report the flag and Tony Abbott call.

(From 2:40 on) http://www.rte.ie/radio/utils/radioplayer/rteradioweb.html#!rii=9%3A20697643%3A48%3A15%2D12%2D2014%3A

I'm just curious whether our national news's contact is full of shit or whether the third demand made on social media with those two got out.

Why in the world are we not allowed to mention the tony call and the flag without getting down voted then? What was the third demand and what could be the reasoning for not reporting it?

The demands screenshot were shared somewhere else in the thread. Seems it's confirmation that he has bombs elsewhere in the city, but specifically he wanted it announced to his brothers not to blow up the bombs.

I hope they got the message and this attempt to avoid panic doesn't lead to more bloodshed.

The police have confirmed they have no evidence of bombs.

Well yeah, admission on its own isn't really evidence so that claim would be a factual statement.

Can you prove this café stunt isn't a badly scripted false flag then?

Because that's what it looks like.

And what kind of terrorist takes over a café, for Christs sake?

This guy is looking for a platform to spread his message. He chose to take hostages in a café close to a news channel studio so guarantees he gets media coverage before the cops can set up a cordone. There would even be a great chance that some of the hostages would be staff from the news room and thus give the organisation an incentive to help him out despite the authorities wanting to push the "do not negotiate with terrorists" line. He's even using his hostages' social media accounts to send out going messages to help reduce how much the cops can block him from contacting the media.

A terrorist who was possibly attempting to access the American consulate or the channel 7 news room which are both around the corner from the cafe. Earlier reports suggested he hastily moved onto the cafe after he was spotted by someone. Even if the cafe was the target it's still a pretty good option as it's in the heart of Sydney and is usually packed by wealthy office workers stopping for a bite.

It is up to the person making the claim to provide the evidence. Along with that there is no reason why the government would need to launch a false flag. I see posts on here saying it's because of the budget announcement which is so ridiculous it's unbelievable.

Every news channel I can find has also reported on the budget while keeping up to date with the hostage citation. If the governments plan was to get everyone watching the news while they report in the budget in between updates of the crisis then they did a DANM fine job.

More people know about the budget now then they ever would have if this hadn't occurred.

Not everything is a conspiracy, think rationally it helps.
