Our mods have overlap with: /r/worldnews, /r/history, /r/technology, /r/funny, among others. How can we stand for a better reddit when our own mod team is so infested with power users?

Interesting, but you missed one /u/Flytape. This white supremacist is worse than all the others combined. Watch out, this is dangerous, a user was banned and stalked because it posted a graphic of the relationship of the mods with other controversial/racial subs. Funny how /u/mr_dong came mysteriously quickly to address the issue.

Do you know where I can see this graphic?

Its is in the first line of thispost

  1. Make your own subreddit.

  2. Do not allow elitist, psychopathic assholes to become moderators.

  3. If elitist, psychopathic assholes do become moderators, ban them.

  4. Profit.

The problem is the fact that most people want to be ruled by elitist, psychopathic assholes.

On Usenet we had no moderators. It was a much, much better system.

I think its somewhere in the middle...

most people want to be ruled...

and elitist assholes want to be the rulers...

it all just works out

The problem with power is that it attracts the wrong type of people.

Ooooooh this seems like a conspiracy!

the reason your mod team is so doomed to corruption is the obvious fact that you all are super-libertarian. you might as well slap a fox news sticker over your foreheads.

Please explain how Fox news is related to anything libertarian.

libertarians are pretty much right-wingers (only difference is they've watched a couple of libertarian documentaries). the romney-ryan budget plan for instance was endorsed like crazy on fox news, including by rand paul and ron paul.

libertarians are just conservatives that think the federal reserve has reduced the purchasing power of the dollar by 98% since 1913. they don't believe in government regulation, in social safety nets, bupkiss. they read ayn rand just like any conservative politician.

fox news is just as much a libertarian news station as it is a conservative propaganda outlet, as the two are basically the same thing.

You actually have given me some more insight.

I am a staunch libertarian and was incredibly confused when you mentioned connections between conservatives and Fox.

I think I more accurately described as a libertarian socialist. My understanding is that libertarianism is based solely on personal freedom of the individual. This can in turn be tied to many socialist ideas such as within the realm of libertarian socialism.

I find it totally disgusting that tea party members and former republicans are trying to rebrand themselves as libertarians when in fact they are the same old trash they were before.

snap judgements made by small minds, next on /r/conspriacy!

Our intentions are aimed towards a fairer, more transparent world and a better future for everyone.

i myself had allegation against me recently for removing a reported link.

This is exactly what I'm talking about. You didn't have an 'allegation' against you, you censored a post that was not against any of the rules listed on the sidebar.

/u/illuminatedwax also founded this sub and is rarely involved

How would we know? Do you make the modlogs public? Do you publish statistics on the modmail and who is involved in it? This is exactly the problem, you can go around claiming things to be the case, but you never back it up with any actual evidence, and then you make rule 10 which is nothing more than a thinly disguised attempt to shield the mods from criticism.

This is exactly what I'm getting at. You guys just expect us to trust the mod team while you go about hiring power mods and deleting posts willy nilly without providing any metrics or tools to show any sort of transparency.

Edit:

This isn't your first time deleting things that aren't against the rules and some members think that you use sockpuppet accounts to ban users that disagree with your decisions. I ask again, where is the transparency?

EDIT: I WAS BANNED BY MR_DONG FOR THIS POST.

was it Mrdong?

Yes
