Oliver Stone decides make a documentary about the Western Coup in Ukraine. Now type his name into google and witness the smear campaign that has already been aggressively launched.
241 2015-01-06 by [deleted]
I made a comment about it yesterday and I am already getting users on this site telling me that
"Oliver Stone is the new Alex Jones"
and
"OMG, that guys eats psychedelic drugs almost every day"
among other things...
Just watch: the smear campaign will hit this website hard. I envision TIL, nottheonion, politics, and others being utilized for this mission very soon.

Hahahahah! What is that from? I really like listening to McKenna, he's thought provoking at the very least.

Not after you watch Natural Born Killers....
5 rrawk 2015-01-06
Not sure what point you're trying to prove. That was an excellent movie. If psychedelic drugs had anything to do with it (they did), then it just gives more credit to benefits of psychedelic drugs.
2 Apersonofinterest666 2015-01-06
I took acid and went to see Natural Born Killers in the theater. Very bizarre experience.
1 diarrheafarts88 2015-01-06
Wth, what was that like?
3 Apersonofinterest666 2015-01-06
Bloody. And I fell in love with Mallory. For the rest of the day, the imagery from that movie was flashing through my head.
1 LordMandrake_ 2015-01-06
I watched that movie tripping hella hard on some shrooms. I swear, that film taught me the meaning of life, but I soon forgot.
It too was a very bizarre experience.

Like losing your keys when you are drunk you need to take more mushrooms

Haha Its the worst feeling. Knowing you had something but then loosing it shortly after you knew you had it.

Right. The US hands that shit out like candy to the public too.

Psychedelic drugs? More like gives you a hefty mandatory minimum just for possession.

You haven't explained a single thing you have said . The government does not hand out psychedelics, hence the schedule I status.
Heroin is an opiate, not a psychedelic. Kindly fuck off
3 Alcorr 2015-01-06
You're arguing with a bot.
I'm serious.
3 snerrymunster 2015-01-06
What the fuck is wrong with this place?
4 Alcorr 2015-01-06
Nothing, it's becoming more and more popular so JDIF brigades and bots are deployed in ever increasing numbers....
2 oblivioustoobvious 2015-01-06
The comments and the account is deleted. Can you elaborate a little on how you know it was a bot?
1 Alcorr 2015-01-06
The (bot) account was making completely nonsensical statements.
Was comparing psychedelics to heroin and claiming the government wants people on psychedelics even though we all know the opposite is true, generally nonsensical stuff simply meant to sidetrack a discussion.
Which it did successfully, and once called out as a bot simply auto deleted.
This is happening more and more as /r/conspiracy subs increase closer to 300k.

Oliver Stone has experienced a perhaps even viler attack in the past. When he made his movie JFK, the press started attacking him and denouncing the movie long before it was ready to be released.

For those who weren't born yet, Oliver Stone was first known as an Academy Award-winning director for Platoon. He had been a screenwriter & critics' favorite before JFK.
He was never associated with the word "conspiracy".
Then in 1990 before JFK was done filming, Time Magazine did a cover story (a front cover) hit piece attacking the unfinished movie based on its script.
It was an exceptional moment.
But Stone was smart. He made JFK casting a wide array of famous Hollywood stars, and it amounted to a coalition of famous people agreeing: "Yes, we don't believe the Oswald story."
In between the Time Magazine cover story and the movie release, there were many significant & interesting Kennedy Assassination-related events. Somebody should do a Timeline:
Stone attacked then-president Poppy Bush in the press (" ... Existentially speaking, Bush has no eternal soul ..."), then the sudden & mysterious declassifying of a 1963 document that linked a "George Bush of the CIA" to the assassination, which gave Bush the advantage of pre-emptively "debunking" his connection to Dallas, a full year before the film was released. It was clear at the time how terrified TPTB were of the film before it came out.
11 redditeditard 2015-01-06
Came to say this, dude has been mocked since JFK.
-19 youfuckingslaves 2015-01-06
This is my issue with him, an entire film on jfk and no one sees the driver shoot him in the head. It's too simple folks this dude Oliver is not on our team.
13 drunkenshrew 2015-01-06
Thie claim that the driver shot Kennedy is based upon crappy copies of the Zapruder film and perhaps it is also disinformation.
Robert Harris has made a fine video which he goes frame by frame. He clearly demonstrates, that the gun is no gun. It is Roy Herman Kellerman's head.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=DguBcLpWBS0
The myth, that the driver Greer was the shooter was spread by Bill Cooper. Cooper's theory is that an electrically-operated gas-powered weapon shot an exploding shellfish-poison covered bullet. Cooper claimed to have read about this in a top secret document. Perhaps he really has read such a document.
Video of Bill Cooper http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R9EiKRhmqFU
JFK was killed in an uncovered limousine. He was surrounded by dozens of witnesses. While numerous people claimed to have witnessed a slow down of the car, none has seen the alleged gun in Greers hand. Witnesses didn't rush the driver, they rushed the grassy knoll.
Connally who was sitting next to the driver was wounded during the assassination. He neither flinches from Greer, nor does he fear the driver. No puff of smoke can be seen.
I got the Harris video out of a fine abovetopsecret thread, which aslo has some good photos. http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread686940/pg1
see also: http://www.jfklancer.com/greer.html
6 Ornlu_Wolfjarl 2015-01-06
Well, the point of the movie was mostly about the cuban missile crisis and how the leadership behaved at the time, not the death of JFK. He left it ambiguous at the end I think, because it was very ambiguous what happened.
2 ronintetsuro 2015-01-06
I don't know you, I don't know what "team" you claim to represent, and I definitely find your emotionally charged language suspect.
I participate in this sub to learn about new information. Not to join someone's "team". In fact, I'd say that's one of the main social constructs preventing people (Americans especially) from a better understanding of the world around them; the dogmatic programming that everything is binary, everything is team-oriented.
Maybe what you think is your "team" is actually your biggest intellectual weakness.
-2 youfuckingslaves 2015-01-06
Lol emotionally charged? I'm on team human and yes there are other teams. In this universe where there is actual binary in its make up (Strange Computer Code Discovered Concealed In Sup…: http://youtu.be/q1LCVknKUJ4 ) we do have opposite forces at play. Also the seven universal laws state the principle of polarity well. Look at that I said everything I needed to without insulting anyone's mental weakness.
5 ronintetsuro 2015-01-06
Your username is "you fucking slaves". I don't think it's difficult to see why people will look at that and your wording and make assumptions.
0 youfuckingslaves 2015-01-06
Well we've all heard that old adage about assumptions. My username is only to help awaken others to our plight on this planet. While it may be unnerving it is the truth. Truth is all I care about, the driver shot Kennedy PERIOD! The Zapruder film clearly shows this. Watch it until you get it. It does not require any knowledge or intellect. I saw it showed my wife she saw it showed to a friend who took 30 plays to see it. Once you see it you can't unseen it. There are detractors that state the film is fake, why would you fake a secret service execution that has largely gone unnoticed since before I was born?
2 ct_warlock 2015-01-06
Did he give up at try 30 when he realised you were never going to stop fucking torturing him?
19 User_Name13 2015-01-06
I have a lot of respect for Oliver Stone. A lot of people don't know that Stone's son, Sean Stone, is a 9/11 Truther.
Aside from that Stone's documentary South of the Border, is required viewing for anyone interested in the United States involvement in creating coups in nations with democratically elected governments to result in regime change.
1 LordMandrake_ 2015-01-06
I may be wrong about this but I think Sean stone was on an episode or two on Jesse Venturas show.
I could be wrong on this.
17 [deleted] 2015-01-06
His untold American history documentary is good.
2 keepcalmson 2015-01-06
I didn't give any credence to the FDR assasination theory until I saw it and learned about the democrat conventiom sham that made Truman the VP nominee. FDR would not have dropped the bomb. FDR was fearless and loved humanity. He made a deal with the banks so they wouldn't install Smedley as a fascist dictator to stop his New Deal, but they eventually broke the deal and got their coup and used the New Deal big government to hold America hostage.
12 JamesColesPardon 2015-01-06
While I can't comment on any specific smear campaign, his series on Showtime about American history was very entertaining and I recommend it.
Sure, it's obviously slanted in a way, but it was nice to see a recap if American intervention a list/imperialism without red, white, and blue colored glasses for a change.
6 Azul788 2015-01-06
Stone is no stranger to this kind of publicity. His documentaries are generally very well made. Check out South of the Border and Fidel Castro: Comandante.
Looking forward to this one.
5 Radium_Coyote 2015-01-06
Nothing new under the sun. Happened with "Platoon" and pretty much every movie he's done since. It's why you don't hear about him any more: he's blacklisted.
5 loki1887 2015-01-06
Directed 8 movies in the last 15 years and a documentary series that aired on showtime.
So blacklisted.
0 Radium_Coyote 2015-01-06
How many of 'em have you heard of, let alone watched?
2 EnoughNoLibsSpam 2015-01-06
On a completely different topic, The Interview has now been called Sony's most successful movie ever, with the help of a publicity stunt.
1 loki1887 2015-01-06
By who?
It made $20 million over the Xmas holiday and has pretty much stagnated since. Considering the movie cosr about $80 million, it's going to be a while until Sony recoups it's losses.
Maybe the most successful movie to release online first.
1 Radium_Coyote 2015-01-06
Pretty certain that was the experiment. I don't know if Sony engineered this situation or not, but it was a good opportunity to test the notion of an online release. It's not like they were going to make bank on a theatrical release of this stinker.
1 loki1887 2015-01-06
Alexander, World Trade Center, W., Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, Savages. All of them major studio releases.
The others are documentries that were pretty highly lauded after their release like Comandante.
Definitely not blacklisted. Pretty much the complete opposite.

Holy cripes, yeah, the NY Times, Daily Beast, BuzzFeed, and some other links aren't too kind to Mr. Stone. :(
3 paracog 2015-01-06
the guy has an actual body of work; his rep is solid enough.
2 Known_and_Forgotten 2015-01-06
-Victoria "Fuck the EU" Nuland, April 2014, the US State dept rep who pimped Ukraine out to the IMF so they along with Ukrainian oligarchs and western oil and gas companies could steal the Ukrainian people's wealth.
That is all that needs to be said.
1 Poiluv 2015-01-06
He's been smeared ever since he started making movies due to his choice of subject (often controversial) and his thick narrative.
Family Guy even calls him insane.
2 facereplacer3 2015-01-06
I'm so over Seth MacFarlane. Something's fucky about that guy.
1 Ago_Solvo 2015-01-06
Oliver Stone has some agenda. When I saw him and his son on Jesse Ventura, I felt like the whole time they were making remarks that had underlying meaning, to push the show to looney theories. Don't trust the guy to tell you the truth, there is definitely something going on there, but I have liked some of past work for sure. I mean Jesse sounds a certain way that makes him appear unintelligent no matter what he says, and Oliver Stone and his son were copying it as if to mock him on his own show, and making ridiculous claims that even Jesse and his co-hosts didn't make.
10 deanasaurs77 2015-01-06
Everyone has an agenda. Welcome to reality.
1 sir_lurk_alot07 2015-01-06
So i just watched the interview last night. And i couldn't but help notice when they where driving away in the boat. James Franco says " And in the background was gun fire, a revolutionary war...... that we started." I think this was a total rub in the face of this situation.
1 DronePuppet 2015-01-06
Need to pull that clip and post.

No. Cause he's fucking curious and wants to see it.
1 BuckminsterFoolerene 2015-01-06
Eh, it might return more relevant results based on how they've personalized it. There is also a js based malware that sends you results more pertinent to things that sometimes don't match well with the search terms.

No surprise, the reporter who wrote the hit piece; http://www.haaretz.com/misc/writers/james-kirchick-1.353998
1 yaosio 2015-01-06
Oliver Stone pays for this to get attention for his movies. It was proven that he gave Time magazine an undisclosed sum of money to get his movie JFK on the front cover.
0 ShillOutDude 2015-01-06
I think they're gonna kill him and call him old.
0 ct_warlock 2015-01-06
Oh look a "smear campaign" that just happens to serve the purpose of drumming up interest in his new film.
So controversial! So forbidden! So see it!
You silly clods have fallen for that one.
0 putin_hates_cats 2015-01-06
This is nowhere near an example of good "bad publicity".
0 ct_warlock 2015-01-06
Well, we'll see won't we when the film comes out, and is promptly covered by loads of "controversial new film" articles.
-1 readyready 2015-01-06
I no longer use Google. They track your searches and sell the results, all without cutting you in. A quick Duck Duck Go search yields nothing of note.
1 Vermonty_Python 2015-01-06
That doesn't really have anything to do with the issue at hand.
We aren't upset that we're forced to see the smear campaigns. Circumventing those is simple enough! We're upset that they exist in the first place.
Using DuckDuckGo solves nothing.

Someone needs to expose how the Republicans are trying to start WWIII by creating this situation.
2 jacks1000 2015-01-06
Obama is a Republican now?
1 Terrorstorm133 2015-01-06
Partisan divide does not matter when the power hungry are on the prowl sir.
1 ct_warlock 2015-01-06
Well, he's right wing anyway.
1 jacks1000 2015-01-06
Sure, and George W. Bush was a big-government liberal - like FDR.
1 ct_warlock 2015-01-06
Well, Democrats and Republicans are both right wing. Just that the Republicans are more right wing than the Democrats, making them look left wing by comparison.
Perhaps I should have described Obama as "right of centre" then to be more accurate.
And given those are your only two mainstream parties in the US, it would seem there isn't any left wing to speak of. I'm sure there's a few independent people out there, but they probably stand no chance of ever getting heard.
1 jacks1000 2015-01-06
So was FDR then. So was pretty much everyone other than Trotsky, one assumes.
I bet you're a real fan of Bernie Sanders, eh?
1 ct_warlock 2015-01-06
All I know about him is that he defrauded a lot of people. So no.
It's also not just a giant leap from right wing to Trotsky! There's a lot of area you've missed out there.
0 jacks1000 2015-01-06
David Ben Gurion, Beria, Noam Chomsky, Vladimir Lenin, am I leaving any out?
Let me guess ... anarchism is cool, but Prodhoun is out because of the "anti-semitism" thing, right?
Workers control of factories and legal weed!
Yeah I used to party with your type.
1 ct_warlock 2015-01-06
No, I don't like anarchism or legal weed either.
It doesn't sound like it.
-1 4b5f940728b232b034e4 2015-01-06

Which Democrats were not "DINOs?"
FDR = warmonger
Truman = warmonger
JFK = warmonger
LBJ = warmonger
Carter = warmonger (talk about a President with a completely undeserved reputation.)
Clinton = warmonger, bombed Serbia, spend both terms bombing Iraq constantly.
Obama = warmonger, has bombed more Muslim nations than George W. Bush

Of all the people who could tell the truth and live, Oliver Stone is a prime candidate.
Almost anyone else would be unknown and the death would cause zero waves.
Off Oliver Stone and people will be digging deep into the case because they would assume foul-play.

OK.

Oh wow, I guess you have it all figured out!!!
You must be some kind of wizard. Since you know exactly how the most covert and well funded organization in the world operates.
Gee, I guess since Oliver Stone wasn't killed yet, that proves everything.
-2 OWNNWONOW 2015-01-06
Should have been one of many clues.
2 EyesClosedInMirror 2015-01-06
I used to love Oliver stone as a filmmaker. Platoon and JFK are amazing movies, daring in their subject matter. He explored the alternative narratives and used his talents to go against the establishment. He was a personal hero.
Imagine my disappointment when I first saw "World Trade Center," which felt like little more than fluffy American propaganda. I couldn't believe it, there must've been some mistake. What happened? He didn't explore any of the conspiracy surrounding the towers, he didn't even question the official story. It felt like the opposite of the film I was expecting to see.
But still, I continued holding onto hope that that he would redeem himself by shedding light on the financial crisis in his following film, "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps." Okay...Have you seen that movie? It was embarrassing! It was an insult to anyone who suffered through the financial crisis. It was basically a feature length film of worshiping bankers. Clearing them of any blame. Not only did he not blame them for what happened, but he gave them a happy ending with Michael Douglas reuniting with his daughter and labeouf starting a company making solar panels. Solar panels!!! The banker invests in clean energy and has a cookout party!!!!
It was terrible witnessing such a powerful voice of the counter narrative becoming just another Michael bay, coca cola feel good commercial director. After those films, he's going to have to earn my trust all over again. Hopefully he will. Seriously...I hope.
1 OWNNWONOW 2015-01-06
People refuse to believe that their heros are the enemy. Forces them to rethink a lot of things. Look at the downvotes.
Bottom line: Oliver Stone is not the hero you need. He is just another puppet pumping you full of disinformation.
