CDC ready to vaccinate 6000 people...as a trial.

If the ebola outbreak suddenly blows up again, then i would surmise that many of the theories and arguments against vaccines would hold more merit...

Is the "trial" part supposed to be bad or something?

Depends what it is they're 'trialling', like when they laced vaccines with infertility drugs. I guess which sector of society they offer them to will be the clue as to their actual intent.

I never heard about this, was it Asians they gave it to?
Serious question not being racist.

Yes but looked at in a forward thinking opportunistic way people more powerful than myself sterilizing others could be a good thing.
0 strokethekitty 2015-02-20
And how do you manage that line of thought?
1 Talorca 2015-02-20
I suddenly realized that I possess absolutely no talent, skills or personality. But as I clearly deserve lots of soon to be dead peoples money and authority this seemed a no brainer position to take.

What makes you think you "deserve" it so pompously?
And how would the sterilyzation of others by the rich and powerful be a positive thing?

Are you saying you are a narcissist? If so, i can respect the fsct that you are owning up to it. I am jist unsure of the direction you are going atm.

So were they supposed to trial them somewhere else first? Or is "trial" some kind of trigger for paranoia around here?
2 strokethekitty 2015-02-20
Yes. There are many different stages thst experimental vaccines need to go through. They fast tracked the ebola vaccines during the panic last year.
Now they are introducing it as a trial, after the ebola rates have begun to decelerate.
But the main point i wanted to address is how it was fast tracked, and without the normally requisite stages of study, they are introducing it to 6000 people...
No paranoia required to be concerned with this.
1 NWOWillBurn 2015-02-20
How about the fact that these ebola vaccines have been fast-tracked through without thorough testing, or any independent research.
That should be reason enough.
1 Nodent 2015-02-20
reason enough for curious legal inquires

When dealing with dangerous psychopaths a little paranoia is actually a healthy attitude to have.

What?
1 make_mind_free2go 2015-02-20
a trial by the CDC "judge" - i don't like the term "trial", as if they have no clue wth will happen,
that should give people a real sense of. . .what?
0 ct_warlock 2015-02-20
Well, they could always sit on their arses, twiddling their thumbs like you lot. I'm sure Ebola would back off.
Seriously, I read here all the time how they don't trial vaccines, and now you're complaining that they are.
1 strokethekitty 2015-02-20
They arent following their own protocols. The vaccines are still experimental, and havent been tested properly. They have been fast tracked, allowing the pharmaceutical companies to make tons of money off of this gig. This is concerning, like it or not.
It currently is.
1 ct_warlock 2015-02-20
How would you like to see them tested?
1 strokethekitty 2015-02-20
The way the are supposed to.
The key point there is "many years of research and passing rigorous safety and efficacy standards. However, these have obviously not been done, seeing how the ebola vaccines have been fast tracked... Meaning that they skipped several steps to rush it out to the field.
Furthermore, they are now just putting it out to trial, right as the amount of new cases have been diminshing. This latter argument follows the same pattern as the measles vaccine, as well as the small pox vaccine, whereas both of the viruses were in decline prior to the vaccines being implemented.

More people washing their hands, ey?

Hygiene awareness and management, proper safety and containment protocols and gear, as well as the natural course of an outbreak, yes.
