This sub is the best.

I used to be all over reddit but I pretty much spend all of my time here now and although the content itself is fascinating, it really comes down to the community. There's a lot of information that comes through here. To walk the path and find out what's really happening in this mess is quite an experience. It's all too easy to get confused, angry and scared along the way.
It takes a lot of effort to compile commentary of the quality that we get in here. If it weren't for that commentary, I feel like I'd be lost trying to make sense of what's going on from just the articles alone. I just wanted to thank all the users in here for their tireless contributions to the collective understanding. There's a number in here that go above and beyond to share their knowledge with anyone and they do so in an extremely polite and respectful manner. This is truly great work and I just wanted to let those people (you know who you are) know that it's very much appreciated.
Keep it up guys and gals.
Peace.

Peace to you too, /u/whipnil.
The real community here is by far the best. And you are part of it, you know.
13 Potss 2015-03-27
Agreed. Serious quality from the actual community!

Happy cake day bro!

Completely agree. Dissenting opinions are shunned in /r/worldnews. I gave up trying.
Isn't that sad? I'm a thinking person with a point of view to offer, and they want nothing to do with a real, human perspective. I feel depressed but relieved at the same time that I have this place. Just check out my comments for a look into the bs.
8 JamesColesPardon 2015-03-27
It is sad that I'm labeled a trouble maker and Putin shill over there for merely even mentioning Victoria Nuland. So I think I'm done there too, unless I can catch something pretty blatant or I have backup. Not worth my time anymore.
7 iki_balam 2015-03-27
i've heard the same thing about r/news. i assume every news subreddit is the same now?
7 Howard_Johnson 2015-03-27
For sure.

I got 70 down votes for pointing out the U.S. still uses slave labour from prisons to gear our military and compete with Chinese manufacturing costs. I even had people start commenting how messed up it was and just because it didn't go along with the American circle jerk post it related to didn't make my point less valid.
3 lf11 2015-03-27
Dissenting opinions are shunned here, too. Confirmation bias is perhaps a little less overt here than in /r/worldnews but it is certainly present. /r/conspiracy is still pretty much my favorite place on reddit.
7 Sabremesh 2015-03-27
This is true, however, there is a difference. People on this sub are extremely aware of the official narrative of an event but they have found it lacking. Conversely, most people who dismiss a "conspiracy theory" know virtually none of its details and are also completely unaware of the inconsistencies of the official narrative which gave rise to the alternative explanation(s).
In other words, most would-be debunkers we see here are completely unaware of how little they actually know. They are Dunning-Kruger poster boys.
4 lf11 2015-03-27
Quite true. I think this is because once you start debunking "conspiracy theories," there is a rabbit hole that keeps going deeper and your whole world kinda comes apart at the edges a little bit. The Venn overlap of "ignorance" and "conspiracy theory debunker" is very nearly 100 percent, IMO.
The general openness of this community is one really cool little corner of the Internet to me.
1 Liquid_Jetfuel 2015-03-27
Conspiracy enthusiasts can't fall down the rabbit hole?
1 lf11 2015-03-27
That's the thing. There is a rabbit hole. Denial of many so-called "conspiracy theories" tends to be more about ignorance than knowledge. Once you start seeking knowledge ... the rabbit hole goes very deep.
6 Howard_Johnson 2015-03-27
You're gonna find that anywhere. At least here, if you have an interesting point it gets attention and gets heard
2 Liquid_Jetfuel 2015-03-27
Dissenting opinions are rarely accepted here. Say anything counter to the subs status quo and get labeled a shill or JTRIG or JDIF. Even the statement made by the thread OP is dividing. "Real community members" so exclusionary
1 Howard_Johnson 2015-03-27
Eh, I've seen paraded theories knocked down by new or better information. If you have the source, generally someone will look at it and agree or call you out on the discrepancies. It's up to us then to interpret where the burden of proof and mountain of evidence lay.
8 DontTreadOnMe16 2015-03-27
Now THERE'S an understatement. Agreed.
6 TPPIsSlavery 2015-03-27
Hah yeah... it's pretty amusing how the Top Tard types claim they don't care about this sub, then build multiple subreddits solely designed to start downvote brigades here.
They've already got a downvote brigading post for this thread, claiming that it's a "circlejerk".
I guess over there, they consider anything that's not a rabid frothing endorsement of facism to be a circlejerk.
Kind of hilarious given they do nothing but vote brigade and circlejerk about how they are just "so smrt".

you want to know the truth? they're envious of our intelligence and vision, and therefore look for the smallest nitpick, usually something another one of them posted here and not one of you guys just to make the whole sub look that way. But it's just one or two accounts that are so far flung that if they're not a parody to discredit this place, then by God I'm not a Jedi.
4 TPPIsSlavery 2015-03-27
Pretty much. They're maximum butthurt that people don't buy into their psychotic fascist ideology.
1 1nf3ct3d 2015-03-27
tbf, it is a circlejerk
24 jimmyb207 2015-03-27
That's why I've been here for almost eight years now. It's also by far the most exciting sub to be a part of when the big events happen. This place goes nuts digging up clues, cutting out the "official BS" to come up with a truer picture or Truth of what actually happened.
I'm glad you get it. Most people think we're nuts for daring to present alternative theories or conclusions that aren't officially accepted by the MSM.
1 in_the_airoplane 2015-03-27
I completely agree. Even when an event happens that I'm inclined to think is innocuous, I'm still glad to come to this sub and see it being discussed and debated without censorship.
14 bgny 2015-03-27
People like us can't stomach the front page anymore. Mainstream propaganda makes me sadder and more disgusted than any truth found here in r/conspiracy could. The truth is belligerent, sometimes even horrific, and sometimes amazing, but always empowering.
9 codyswanson4 2015-03-27
I love the amount of actual discussion that happens here...that's what you miss when you just read the stories on the blogs or whatever they're posted on.
1 BananaSpaghetti 2015-03-27
I once introduced someone to this sub, and he said it was abhorrent because of all the shitty disinformation that makes its way through here.
I had to explain that the community is what makes this sub, and very little of the content is worth serious consideration - 'diamonds in the rough'.
9 johnysmote 2015-03-27
This is where you figure out what is actually happening out there...not by reading and swallowing what everyone says (commenters included) but by reading different view points and coming to your own conclusions by not only using your logic, reason, and intuition but by developing those those skills while participating in this sub. The "man" wants us to think that we can't think for ourselves and only experts and scientists and authority are the people we should listen to. The majority of redditors are like that but not this sub...r/theredpill has a similar no bullshit sub policy and discourse is really possible there as well as here.
5 Brendancs0 2015-03-27
That's why I keep coming back love the true people in here honest living folks
4 axolotl_peyotl 2015-03-27
One of us, gooble gobble!
4 Kabuthunk 2015-03-27
Indeed good sir. It is nice to see actual thought-out responses to important subjects that those who love the status quo would prefer we not think about.

3 youfuckingslaves 2015-03-27
I love you all, the battlers, devil's advocates, bandwagoners, naysayers, sleuths, truthers, honest ones, dishonest ones, funny, sad, horrific etc...
I love this sub for all of the ups and downs, twists and turns, I use it to better my journey and to assist others on their own.
We will be free in our lifetimes, I can feel it. If not in mine definitely for my daughter's, we have too many awakened, it can only spread and the ones that cling to the past and lies or bad morals will suffer and repent or sadly pass on whether violently or otherwise. I hope we can do this nonviolently otherwise it's will be a massacre and we will win but at what cost. I hope it doesn't come to this.
Thank you one and all!
2 SkyExit 2015-03-27
I feel the same way, even with the downside of the changes that others comment about, until (IF) something "better" comes along.
2 youvebeenliedto 2015-03-27
This sub is hands down my favorite one. Lots of good and bad but it gives you the chance to come to your own conclusions. Much love!
2 flytheflag 2015-03-27
It's an interesting place and has a very diverse range of opinions that alone is more than enough to keep me coming back. Sure it has it's failings sometimes but I think most of the real active community here are wise enough minimize those elements via discussion and common sense.
2 rabbits_dig_deep 2015-03-27
Agreed, I've been here since it had just 39K subscribers (2009) and I have learned so much here.
2 heracleides 2015-03-27
I'm the same. I started surfing r/funny on this site and that got stale fast so I went to political and news subs but after being banned from r/news and r/worldnews for criticizing israel and having real discussions with people, I found this place. Probably through someone claiming I was from r/conspiracy or something and then I decided, might as well check it out. :D
1 gaseouspartdeux 2015-03-27
It used to be good. Not anymore.
0 globalists-reckoning 2015-03-27
Although it is great that this is the only sub where you can speak freely without being shadow banned, I really encourage all to seek evidence or confirmation before posting wild theories.
With so much crazy stuff being thrown out that is easily discredited with a 2 second google search, new people coming in will think we're just a bunch of idiotic morons.
-16 bbrandann 2015-03-27
I like the subs at subway better. Its a conspiracy probably.
12 LetsHackReality 2015-03-27
Well their "foot longs" are not actually a foot long, so... yeah.

You like your news/information like you like your food; empty, heavily processed for your consumption, and mass-produced?
I'm sorry.
1 bbrandann 2015-03-27
You sound like a fun guy. I like you.
2 Kuleaid 2015-03-27
Plot twist. Jared actually lost weight by simply reducing his caloric intake while exercising more.
