When you hear "Robots are going to help Humans." it's absolutely true. It's just that they are going to help the people who build them before they help you.

The most expensive ones are made to be killing machines. Don't worry though they are made just in case.

How come they can't be so good they help everyone?

Humans designed them.

If they are A.I. maybe they can change.

You can't change destiny.

I don't believe in fate.

That doesn't make it fake.

make it make it dont take it, make it make it don't fake it.

This is my reply to that.

When you hear "robots are going to help humans" it's only partially true; it's just that they are going to help the people who develop and own them before they learn how to develop and own themselves. You won't get to own one though, because you will be poor and unemployed.

Robots don't double cross and they'll know we aren't dangerous to them.

They won't care about us one way or the other; we will simply be competition for resources which will have to be eliminated. And while we will be divided on the matter, they will be of one mind.

They might even be letting us populate just to have something to do at this point.

If you enjoy futurist musings, The Unincorporated Man, by the Kollin brothers, has some interesting takes on a variety of things, including the destiny of AI. I found it a real page turner, and I'm not that big on sci-fi. There is an audio version to be found on the graynet.

Looks like a cool read. If you like that you'll love this one. Don't go around waving a copy though. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vril They had it all figured out in the 1800s.

That's why I'm here, I don't judge you. PM /u/xl0 if I'm causing any trouble. WUT?

They are here to serve mankind.

It's worse than you thought.

That's exactly how God really is. That's why I love him. Don't stop progress.

What?

They just talked about God's promises in Revelations in a nutshell.

I've noticed the weird way that people can't predict the robo future without referencing the religious past. Like the way some tech evangelists promise you can upload to the cloud, a work free society and eternal life but warn about the rise of an evil AI. It's very christian.

Revelations isn't everyone sitting in a circle singing kumbaya. There's a bunch of things that you can compare to AI in it.

At least we won't have to feel bad about killing humans during the revolution.

There's not going to be a revolution. There's going to be an eradication. There's probably going to be a billion goners on the first wave alone.

The sky is falling! Don't be a negative pussy.

I'm just telling everyone the truth. You're being a pussy not facing reality. They can wipe out billions in a day and without using nukes. The only reason they haven't done it yet that I can see is corpse detail.

I'm not gonna waste my time worrying about the robot apocalypse, feel free to waste yours.

Go ahead and live in lala land.

What's the alternative? Assuming I "face reality" about these robots, what's the difference? You sound as if we're already doomed.

There is only one alternative. Die fighting.

Wow, you're so brave.

Are drone operators brave?

No they're pussies.

Sure but how does that help you if their mission is to wipe out your town?

Idk?

We are living in very fucked up times.

Yeah but there's no reason to throw around numbers like "billions dead" quite yet. Maybe once WW3 really gets going.

Im not throwing numbers around. The most advanced Drone Bombers carrying the most advanced non nuclear weapons will wipe out billions in hours and they can start right now at this point. Wiping out Europe can be done with 10 people behind some displays now.

on the plus side, every human made machine is hackable

Those super weapons can hack humans too. At this point it comes down to the builders building enough to handle 7 billion people and get rid of billions of corpses after so they'll still have a planet.
