I think it was five subs, actually. Personally, I think it's less about the subs themselves and more about principle. Once the banmachine starts, who's to say where it'll stop? I doubt it will end with fph.
Seems a little like a stunt to me. Accustom reddit to censorship. Plus they prob gonna axe conspiracy soon if i had to guess. Or continue to make it shittier till it doesn't matter.
Which is why I think the community here really needs to start a conversation about a reasonable alternative. Voat seems too convenient (I am a conspiracy theorist, after all), and we should really talk about the flaws of this place (not the mods, but just in general) and how to counteract them and how to build something by ourselves for ourselves.
I also have my landing spot ready just in case (and have been planning for this outcome since the FCC Net Neutrality stuff, TBH.
Sorry but no conversation is to be had during the age of pitchforks.
Give it a couple days and then we can converse about the issue.
Personally I'm not really sure about Voat. I haven't been on it enough. I think I'll be on Reddit for much longer because I think it's better to fight it than to abandon ship.
the point is that by them banning the new sub, they're directly contradicting their reason of the ban being about "behavior and not content", because how could a sub with no actual behavior be banned?
Goddamnit, stop advertising your shitty fucking subs. The fucking douchebags that think its ok to act like the westboro baptist church will find a place to spout their hatred without your help, and probably get banned from there too because nobody wants to be associated with your bullshit.
The admins really need to get these stupid posts off here... this sub is being brigaded by all the FPH idiots trying to seek asylum in other subreddits while continuing to spam their bullshit
none of these posts are even remotely close to /r/conspiracy material
Face it, you guys couldn't keep your shit to your own sub, doxxed the wrong people, and spread your shitty memes and jokes to every other subreddit
You guys got what your deserved
The last thing we need is legit subreddits to get banned because the FPH idiots are raiding them and upvoting their own crap to the front page
not really, you didn't have to visit FPH to see their memes and jokes voted up in all the other subreddits or see the front page of /r/all covered with their crap
we haven't had /r/coontown or those subs have their content splashed all over the front page EVER
and im supposed to feel sorry for this group of bullys who now need to burn reddit to the ground because they can't go a day without posting their favorite photoshop pic of a fat person? ha
uh yes, just like its specifically stated in Reddit's own rules
ya know... the same kind that got them banned in the first place when they decided to spill over into the main subs, and start doxxing/harassing people... which also happens to be against the rules
hmm, its almost as if the people in that sub fucked up and this whole banning thing didn't come out of left field! HMM!

edit: ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
6 banfromallsubreddits 2015-06-11
6, 7, 8, and 9 are all gone. 10 might be next. We'll see...

6?
2 [deleted] 2015-06-11
6 is not actually about fat people, and thus still stands.
7 redirects to /r/Russiandefense, and thus still stands.
8 & 9 are down.
10 is probably the next.

26 upvotes in 11 minutes on a Wednesday night? Really?

It's hit the fan, bro. Complete chaos out there. Reddit is in civil war.
3 JamesColesPardon 2015-06-11
Yeah I unplugged for a night and cleaned my kitchen and everybody's lost their minds. Because a sub got banned?

Oh, don't get me wrong - I'm not downplaying the move. Just surprised how fast it took off.
We even have it on the sidebar here. Impressive.

Yeah, I'll at least agree that people are being marionetted (mostly without knowing it) to do what is expected.
It is certainly fun to watch.

I'm just sitting here watching the wheels go round and round,
I really love to watch them roll,
No longer riding on the merry-go-round,
I just had to let it go.

Well, yeah. Would you be up in arms if the admins banned /r/conspiracy?

Sure.

My thoughts exactly. I shall watch in the shadow of the pitchforks and hope to get a word in edgewise in a fortnight.

just adding a number at the end of the sub name will make it easier to find and ban

Maybe we shouldn't allow brigades to push hate subreddits on /r/conspiracy .

You're seeing the result of the admins removing the home of FPH. It was pretty contained until they banned the subreddit.
0 drogean2 2015-06-11

Ahhhh so it's okay as long as it is contained.

You're not talking about a subreddit. You're talking about users.
