What do you think NASA is lying about? And what do you think are the truths in what they are coming out with?

I think humans have colonized much of the solar system. Civilization on Earth has, I think, risen and fallen multiple times, over hundreds of thousands of years, each time crashing back to near Stone Age level.
Think about what you, yourself, would know how to do if civilization broke down and all these technologies just stopped working. Maybe I could build a generator, maybe.. if I had some wire... But I don't know even how to mine for copper, let along smelt it. To paraphrase Joe Rogan, you could leave me in the forest for 1000 years and I'd never figure out how to build an iPhone.
But a small group is able to keep and occult the knowledge and technology each time. While the rest of us are rebuilding from Stone Age, they're zipping about in anti-grav saucers.
I think that's the big secret. And as we find older and older archeological sites, the picture becomes more and more clear: Humans have been around for a very long time, and somebody doesn't want us to know about it. There is a reason for that.

I think that was the previous one. Before that, who knows... "Land of the Lost"?

I think they've already found life outside of Earth but hasn't told us due to how the public would react.
1 IownaFerrari 2015-08-02
How would they react?
1 Rocket_Admin_Patrick 2015-08-02
I would imagine it would rub religious people the wrong way. I also believe there would be some sort of panic, especially if the detected life forms are intelligent and not bacteria.

I didn't see much of a reaction to the legalization of gay marriage. I think that's overblown.
1 Rocket_Admin_Patrick 2015-08-02
Did you miss out on all of the legislation that state gov't tried to pass to stop that?
1 IownaFerrari 2015-08-02
That wasn't chaotic. If that's what NASA is afraid of happening then I really don't see the logic.
1 TheAmericanPharaoh 2015-08-02
Religious people believe in Angels and Demons so it's not going to shock them like you are thinking.

Aliens (very possibly) = cosmic tricksters/fallen angels.

I honestly have no idea any more. So much dicey shit about the moon landing and other stuff. This is a good question to ask, but one area where I really don't have much in the way of concrete hypothesis anymore.
I do believe there is a secret space program based on non-physical phenomena. No idea how far it goes or how far we've gone.
1 Quantumhead 2015-08-02
Bro, that really isn't true. Both NASA and other, independent scientists, have announced several times over the past few decades that they think they have found evidence of alien life. The problem hasn't been that they haven't released the information, but rather that nobody seems to pay any attention to it.
Here are a couple of such stories just off the top of my head:-

They lie about costs (implying they're lower), so when they're slightly over budget, they can get that little extra to finish the project.
-1 metabolix 2015-08-02
there is no single ounce of truth in anything they put their hands into.

-1 metabolix 2015-08-02
Flat earther??? You really love labels and stereotypes. Can't help you there.
2 Dreadpirate3 2015-08-02
Do you deny questioning whether the earth is even round?
6 metabolix 2015-08-02
I wonder about that from time to time. Yea. Is that wrong? Isn't that how scientists are? Questioning things? Would you have made fun of them also back then. Sure you would.
2 cyph3rpunk 2015-08-02
I'm with you
0 Dreadpirate3 2015-08-02
There's wondering about it, and then there's taking a possibility seriously when it's been disproven about as many ways as possible.
-1 metabolix 2015-08-02
That is patently false. I believe the moon landings are faked. Arrive at that realization and then you will take the same path as I have in questioning other things NASA says. If you don't question the moon landings even one bit, then see you later when you do.
-1 Dreadpirate3 2015-08-02
You claim that everything from NASA is a lie, then ignore any evidence to the contrary. You're not a scientist, you're an idiot with a mind as closed as an anti-vaxxer.
2 metabolix 2015-08-02
Yea everything from NASA is a lie. Why are you close minded to that fact? You didn't know some govt agencies are set up to tell lies? Propaganda works that way.
-1 Dreadpirate3 2015-08-02
You really are obtuse, aren't you? The ISS exists, and there are many independent photographs of it. Funny how every time that is brought up - including information on how to see it for yourself - you very quickly run away from the conversation, never to return. Are you really that terrified to find out that you may be wrong?
Tell me, have you ever heard of Occam's Razor? It's a lot easier to believe that the space program exists than there is some sort of global conspiracy by thousands of people and dozens of countries that has been maintained in near-perfect secrecy for the last 60 years...
1 metabolix 2015-08-02
Occam's razor would dictate that in fact, ISS doesn't exist. The assumptions you are making about the people who rule over us are all good, just, truthful and benevolent has been proved wrong time and time again. Think about before Galileo proved the world was round. Most people thought it was flat. That didn't make it true. Don't you know that the same logic applies here. Just because most people believe something, it doesnt have to be true. Most people simply parrot lies that they hear from media and authority figures anyway. Is that too hard for you to understand?
You really need to revisit your world view. Sooner or later, you will.
1 Dreadpirate3 2015-08-02
Now who is making assumptions? I never said any of that. Believe it or not, there is a possibility where the leaders are not benevolent and the ISS to exist.
And if the ISS doesn't exist, what about all the independent observations of it? Is everyone around the world who posts a picture of it from their backyard part of your giant conspiracy? Not every photo of it comes from NASA.
1 metabolix 2015-08-02
Again you are assuming these are "people posting from their backyard". You have no concept how propaganda and intelligence services work. DECEPTION. That's the name of the game. Whatever go live in your bubble.
0 Dreadpirate3 2015-08-02
rolls eyes So everyone in the world is lying? Boy, you must have your bunker fully stocked to be so pathetically paranoid...
Tell me, have you ever bothered to actually look up in the sky with a telescope and follow the instructions that are posted online? I know it's difficult for you to comprehend, but there might actually be something up there besides your tinfoil hat. And you could actually find out something for yourself rather than listening to a random Youtube video (which shock could also be faked!)
1 metabolix 2015-08-02
No have you? Please oh great and righteous one, post a pic of the ISS with your username written on a piece of paper against it. Go ahead do it this week. Must be too easy for you. Let's see you fall flat on your face.
1 Dreadpirate3 2015-08-02
Once again demanding others provide the proof you are unwilling to get on your own.
Edit: And even if I were to provide you the proof you are asking for, your next response would be to label me yet another part of the conspiracy and ignore any evidence I might provide. You are as predictable as you are pathetic.
0 metabolix 2015-08-02
No I will prove you wrong yet again. Provide me a pic of the ISS taken by YOUR telescope. Burden of proof is on you. YOU are the one saying it is super easy to take a pic. Anyone can do it, amirite? Go ahead show us.
1 Dreadpirate3 2015-08-02
I am saying it is easy to do so if you have the proper equipment, which I don't happen to have. And I'm not going to spend several hundred dollars just to prove a paranoid nutcase as yourself wrong.
There are plenty of other examples of civilian photographs of the ISS out there this one happens to be one of my recent favorites, but there are plenty of others. You just refuse to accept any of them because of your paranoia that all images are faked by every single person in the world.
0 metabolix 2015-08-02
Boy, you don't know how photoshop works do you. Such a gullible, naive kid. On that note, do you also believe in Santa Claus?
1 Dreadpirate3 2015-08-02
You call me gullible when you're ready to swallow any bullshit spouted by someone in a poorly-edited youtube video if it fits with your anti-NASA paranoia. Pot met kettle little nutcase.
Tell me, how deep is the bunker you need to hide from NASA's mind rays?
0 metabolix 2015-08-02
What bunker? Remind me again what is the stereotype you are trying to parrot here.
0 Omnificer 2015-08-02
As someone who studied as an aerospace engineer, maybe you can explain how the equations that show the curvature of the earth all the way back to Eratosthenes are incorrect. Please show your work.
