Are all theaters supposed to be gun free zones? So like, if someone wanted to shoot up a theater in Tennessee (where there's a lot of conceal carry gun owners) they wouldn't have to deal with someone else carrying?
Edit
I mentioned this in another thread as well :
The theater where this happened is a very contained area. The mall was shut down years earlier and there's only a few box stores that close early in that plaza.
The street behind the theater overlooks that whole plaza and the mall at around a 20-30 foot elevation.
It's also interesting to note that there's an islamic center less than 2 streets over and that wasn't the target of this shooting.
Antioch is south east of Nashville and has a large immigrant population. There's a large proportion of Hispanic and African Natives who live in and congregate in that area. Most of the violence tends to concentrate around the Thompston lane area though.
It seems like an odd place for this incident without knowing any type of motive. There seriously seems to be no motive. Dude had an axe and a firearm? What's a 51 year old man doing shooting up a theater? It just makes no sense.
But it's really fucked up that people keep shooting up movie theaters, isn't it?
Probably all 40 of them as they indiscriminately shot at where they perceive a threat to be coming from in a dark loud room full of people trying to shoot a "bad guy".
I'm all for gun ownership and own multiple guns myself, however I would never trust a room full of untrained average Americans watching a movie to utilize good judgement in a chaotic public shooting in a dark room. I'm probably gonna get down voted to hell but a bunch of unprepared people in a movie theater shooting at where they perceive the threat to be coming from in a dark and chaotic situation sounds like a recipe for disaster. I don't know the answer, maybe the answer is nothing since it is still pretty rare but I don't think 40 cowboys playing hero is a recipe to make people more safe. It is so easy to get a gun that we can't pretend half the assholes with guns know anything about gun safety, let alone how to act under pressure with innocent civilians filling the room
You seem to be assuming in this statement that if open carry was legal, 100% of citizens would be armed.
Even so, a surprise attack in a dark theater where everyone is sitting down doesn't offer an instant response. Definitely still a few victims possible.
I dunno, why bring a hatchet then? If you really want gun control, start with the "scary" weapons - rifles that play well the media. You work getting those banned first.
If it is an attempt at gun control, I don't think it did a good job.
Charleston was a hoax, Lafayette was a hoax, Chattanooga was a hoax. I know for sure about dozens of hoaxes. I won't go into detail regarding this one, it's a waste of time.
True, but this is a conspiracy subreddit. We talk about things, things are assumed at times and we like talking about that stuff. So no, no one really knows the motives, not even you.
I do see you in here quite often and usually you're taking the anti-conspiracy side of things. That's ok, but do you really think all of these incidents are truly random? You do understand that people/politicians/businessmen/governments do have agendas to push and if there needs to be, there will be examples/situations made that will backup their stance.
You never let a serious crisis go to waste. And what I mean by that it's an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before.

Haha forum/youtube/shitty blog links and insults. Fucking great.
I never supported any official story by the way. I questioned yours.
Edit: did you really think any of those sources qualify as proof of anything? Finding other people who agree with you is not a source. They are all meaningless speculation. And that interview didnt prove shit either.

This is just another act in gun control theater.
It's ramping up, this shooting, the shooting last weekend, shots fired at the army base today and a couple days ago.

If the usher was armed this wouldn't have happened.

Yeah, but it seems like that was his plan all along if he stayed long enough to shoot at police.
I haven't heard of any fatalities yet on this one (besides the shooter) - still waiting on those figures.

You know what class of citizen is prohibited from owning a gun?

At a screening of Mad Max? Is TN really like 6 weeks behind the rest of the country?
1 SlackJawCretin 2015-08-05
It does seem weird. Unless TN is that far behind, seems like a bad choice if the point is having as many people to shoot as possible
1 [deleted] 2015-08-05
The only "shooting" was by local law enforcement. Why is "shooting" in every single headline..?

Recent hoaxes are not only about guns. TPTB want to crack down on politically aware people and on truthers and on free speech.

Another false flag.
2 FortHouston 2015-08-05
Or, another idiot shot up a movie theater.
3 bundlespoons 2015-08-05
Yeah, no pattern here - nothing to see here - move along - if you stop going to movies then the bad guys win - enjoy your fluoride!
3 nedsliver 2015-08-05
As long as the media keeps placing these situations at the forefront of the news then this will continue to happen.

If you'd do some research and think about it you would have all this by now, instead of your pseudoskeptical "Source?" comments.
The burden of proof is on those who prop up the "official story", when the known truth is not something CNN is going to hand to you.

Right, let me just go pull up a peer-reviewed paper analysis on this... Oh wait.
