The live TV shooting today???
18 2015-08-26 by dap00man
Maybe it's me being super suspicious, but this was a live filmed interview, aren't most live things now given like a 10 second buffer precisely for this reason?
Also the resort they were at was out of season and looked closed. How would the shooter have known to go there that early to find the people? Did he follow their van?
Also also, it would seem that a growing number of millennialis are believing the anti government conspiracy stories floating the net, the two that died were both young millennials, it hits closer to home for me.
This is a tragedy and I do believe going lives were taken pointlessly, I'm questioning the gun man's true identity.

Just watched the video but it looks like she took like 3 or 4 shots and kept running. Also, the killer shot himself but apparently posted a go pro video to Twitter and YouTube first... Idk, this is odd to me and the comments on the front page are full of antigun, bandwagon posts.

Real life isn't a video game. He has a low caliber firearm and this isn't in 1080p. She likely kept going due to the adrenaline that flooded her system as she realized the guy she fucked over came back for revenge.

I know life isn't a video game and that's why it's odd this seems so much like one
0 __DocHopper__ 2015-08-26
Life isn't a scripted movie, either.

Download it, put it in vlc, slow it down
The beginning of the video, wtf? Does no one see him just standing there like this is call of duty. Shouldn't their eye sight she some random dude holding what looks to be a gun? I'll give benefit of doubt and go with they are on TV and focused on each other.
The video does not show her getting shot in my opinion, even though he is standing ~5 ft from her. This is not proof either way considering that a lot more shots when off after we can't see anything.

I really don't know.. I would think there would be some pretty immediate blood and I would think multiple shots would make it hard to just sprint away. Also odd that the cameraman seems to make room for the shooter and the nobody noticed or even cared he was there, despite being so close and apparently someone they knew. Also odd that for someone that wanted to film their own sick murder, they really didn't show anything or seem to give any time to make sure they were dead before the camera goes all nutty. It just doesn't seem real to me.

Watch the live leak of a Syrian fighter getting head shot by a sniper.. Movies have ruined people to what real violence looks like.
2 ShakesJr 2015-08-26
Video games, too
2 insomattack 2015-08-26
I thought same thing. Doesn't look real, shots don't look like they make impact
1 Lecrazycatlady 2015-08-26
Why bother filming at all if you aren't going to get the kill on film?
1 AlwaysTurning 2015-08-26
Yea that's what I'm getting at.
-2 beastlol 2015-08-26
You have clearly never been shot or talked with anyone who has been shot by a small caliber handgun.
4 AlwaysTurning 2015-08-26
I havent been shot, thankfully, but I've talked to a few who have been shot. Care to explain rather than just be a jerk?
3 e39dinan 2015-08-26
Yeah, tell us about the time you were shot /u/beastlol
0 macadelic1901 2015-08-26
I don't know much about getting shot but I am skeptical about this too. Would it really take 4+ shots from point blank to bring down a thin woman like her?
2 Echo609 2015-08-26
Yes. That's why there always talk of stopping power.
Bullets are small compared to people so unless it's a headshot or a shot to the spine that will immobilize her she would definitely be able to move after a torso hit.
1 konspirate 2015-08-26
How about just getting her to drop the mic?
-1 Echo609 2015-08-26
Every see a a Major League Baseball player hit the ball and run with the bat.
Your mind is trying to focus on the most immediate stimulus and decide which action to take.
The action sometimes is fuck everything else and run. Like run to the base or run from the bullet. You don't have time to think about dropping the mic or the bat. You're just trying to live or get a base hit.
1 ChiefQueefs 2015-08-26
Reporters are supposed to "tune out" their surroundings when doing a report like this
-4 ghostdogkure 2015-08-26
WHAT she took 3 to the body and didn't even get knocked back. She's standing on heels with a high center of gravity and a light frame. Are you fucking serious. Those would have literally shorn most of her abdomen muscles and seized up her mid section no way she could've turned around and bolted like that
6 tripsick 2015-08-26
its not the movies.. 9mm just punching holes in you not blowing you off your feet.
-3 ghostdogkure 2015-08-26
Lmaooooo that's not what I meant. Never mind
4 loserlame 2015-08-26
I dont think people ever get blown back by small caliber bullets, thats a hollywood thing.
-3 ghostdogkure 2015-08-26
Lmao not thrown back. I'm talking about the feeling of getting pushed over like if someone hit you in the side
2 ChiefQueefs 2015-08-26
He could've missed the first couple of shots, not everyone is James Bond when shooting a gun
1 Echo609 2015-08-26
No. Most poeple don't know when their shot.
It's not the movies bullets don't knock people back. Bullets kill by penetrating and causing internal trauma.
Adrenaline will keep you alive for a good amount of time.
1 konspirate 2015-08-26
She didn't even drop the mic. It took three shots before she drops her notes.
-1 hightiedye 2015-08-26
Right, assuming this is real it was the last three bullets that killed her, not the first three.
Guy sucks at firing gun for sure though so that is what makes me skeptical about that. He misses point blank, the gun shifts from one side of her body to the other. So how did he manage to hit the harder shot? Luck is the only answer.
-1 ClavicepsTex 2015-08-26
A shot to the "torso" or two and getting three put in her "white privilege" are two different things altogether.
1 Sabremesh 2015-08-26
People are assuming that the gun contained live rounds. There is nothing in the way she reacts (either voluntary or involuntary) to being "shot", that suggests that is the case.
Even somebody who believes the bullets are real would have to acknowledge that there is zero evidence in the videos that she was hit by live rounds.
-1 beastlol 2015-08-26
Or he posted it before going on a chase and shooting himself.
-1 AlwaysTurning 2015-08-26
Could have but it's just so fuckin weird. I imagine once the killing is done your mindset kind of goes into this "what did I just do?" phase just super odd to that a shooting on live tv left the guy enough time to upload the video and run....I'm not saying I know anything for certain the whole thing is just odd to me especially with. e immediate steering of the conversation to "come on America get rid of guns!"
1 sissydelilah 2015-08-26
Well considering she cost him his job and apparently made racist comments toward him, he planned this. He didn't stop to think "what did I just do?" he stopped and thought "well business is taken care of, time to show the world!"
13 loserlame 2015-08-26
For people who watched the gun mans video- As a news crew its pretty common for people to be loitering around and you have to just ignore it, especially if you are on live tv. You just block out all distractions, they may have realized that someone was near, but were not paying attention to what he was doing. This is just general professionalism for film crews.
9 FortHouston 2015-08-26
The man's true identity is relevant to the story because it explains why the former employee was angry and how he knew where his former co-workers would be.
-3 ClavicepsTex 2015-08-26
Yep. Prior racial tension--merely perceived or otherwise--lead this individual to initiate a murderous hate crime spree against three innocent, unarmed white victims.
As an aside: Thanks SJW, this year will forever be known as your high-water mark. Enjoy your moment keyboard commandos. You've earned it.
2 Immortan_Hoe 2015-08-26
Can you explain the aside?
-1 ClavicepsTex 2015-08-26
IIWII.
4 Immortan_Hoe 2015-08-26
So you can't explain the aside.
-3 ClavicepsTex 2015-08-26
It explains itself. Particularly so when considered in the light of the statement prior. Other than that, I'm not certain what sort of further "explanation" you could require.
2 Immortan_Hoe 2015-08-26
Why it's relevant, mainly.
-1 ClavicepsTex 2015-08-26
I guess you refuse to read the man's manifesto..
Edit: clearly now you are just an SJW trolling. I'll be moving along now. Enjoy your time over at atheism and TwoX... kthxbye. :)
2 Immortan_Hoe 2015-08-26
Fair enough.
If you can't explain it, then you don't understand it and there's nothing for me to gain here.
0 ClavicepsTex 2015-08-26
It is understood fully by all but the most reality-averse SJW. :)
Go read his manifesto before forming another dumbass quip.
1 Immortan_Hoe 2015-08-26
Damn, you're just a big 'ol ball of fallacies aren't you?
0 ClavicepsTex 2015-08-26
Quit being a creeper. Get a life.
1 Immortan_Hoe 2015-08-26
Heyo!
Double ad hominem. Two points!
0 ClavicepsTex 2015-08-26
SJW is obvious. :)
You score no points, and you do not pass go.
3 Rockran 2015-08-26
Not necessarily, there's still plenty of vids where people have run on camera and done something silly.
2 BirdSkull 2015-08-26
Especially local market stuff for these shitty morning shows. That's as live as it gets.
2 Rage44 2015-08-26
they said the gunman shot himself. yeah, sure he did.
1 slim_ironwood 2015-08-26
Only slightly more believable than Dzokhar's convenient throat injury.
1 jacobkjones 2015-08-26
So hold on. Is it confirmed or not that even smaller, local TV stations have a few seconds of a buffer for live TV?
1 BigPoppa66 2015-08-26
Looks to be a glock 9mm. 9 mm is one of the fastest flying pistol projectiles and one of the smallest. Seems likely she could take a couple hits and keep running like she did. Most likely crazy adrenaline. If it was a 357 might be a different video.
0 AlwaysTurning 2015-08-26
Any videos? Hadn't heard of this.

So if you watch this video and count the shots its like 14 or 15 shots... is this video edited after it goes dark?
1 hightiedye 2015-08-26
Both videos I have seen have only been 8 shots.
1 -asabovesobelow- 2015-08-26
oh im sorry... the one LulzMacky posted...
1 -asabovesobelow- 2015-08-26
Whoops... now that one is down...
1 hightiedye 2015-08-26
It is down but I've seen the gopro camera and it was only 8 shots. Unless of course this is a different video but I doubt it. The one I have is 25 seconds long.
1 Bb233hz 2015-08-26
YES thank you.. I do not carry and way curious as to what kind of gun it was. It looks smaller so 8 shots seemed like it was an appropriate amount.. I too counted 14/15 shots in the extended POV video.
0 facereplacer3 2015-08-26
When the media whips up stories of RACISM all damn day, I am not at all surprised by this madness.
0 youfuckingslaves 2015-08-26
Never in the history of news has a cameraman taken his shot off of the person interviewing except this time.
