Americans in r/conspiracy, who will you be voting for?

I understand many of you believe voting doesn't make a difference, but in your opinion who would be the best future president?

The only sane choice.
5 maiqthetrue 2015-09-14
I'm doing the same. Deez Nutz because fuck the system that pretend voting has created.

Yep. Something about him tells me he will have the balls to do what's right for murica.

Current political system is an Opera. NONE of it is real, its all for show, think WCW.
9 Hell_Awaits_2015 2015-09-14
Not Bernie Sanders. That much I can guarantee. His last name might as well be Rothschild.
14 no1113 2015-09-14
That's the last name of every candidate.

I don't vote in a broken and likely fixed system.
Last presidential election even if EVERY person in my state who didn't participate voted republican Obama still would have won the state. So my vote literally meant nothing.
2 austinitise 2015-09-14
It is fixed:

Voting in this fixed system only lends legitimacy to it. No one should vote in this system. It should be ignored and replaced.

"To summarize: it is a well-known fact that those people who must want to rule people are, ipso facto, those least suited to do it. To summarize the summary: anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on no account be allowed to do the job.” ― Douglas Adams, The Restaurant at the End of the Universe

As I survey the field of candidates, I can tell you, right now, Whitney Houston's hologram is looking like a pretty solid pick for me.
2 LetsHackReality 2015-09-14
I think the puppet on the left is more to my liking.
2 high-priest-of-slack 2015-09-14
Can't we skip the pretense and get a king or emperor already?
2 [deleted] 2015-09-14

this is the first time i don't know. i honestly don't think any of the candidates is "best" (or better), i keep thinking a sick joke is being played on the people; the elite are in 'the quiet room' drinking brandy, laughing about lack of choice we have, because we know whomever is elected will only be following orders like all the previous presidents.
it's really a sad situation.

I vote for a chicken in every pot

My vote is for nobody.
A vote for nobody is a vote for anarchy!

I'm writing in Ron Paul
AUDIT THE FED!!!
1 Flat6Fanatic 2015-09-14
Rand Paul seems like the obvious choice
1 gombo223 2015-09-14
so Clinton will still win or has anything changed?

if i were an american i would vote sanders or Deez Nutz

If you think that voting has any effect on who the next president will be, you should lurk here more often...
0 no1113 2015-09-14
The exact same person I've been voting my entire life.
-1 King-Hell 2015-09-14
Voting for who or what, and where? Reddit is international.
4 [deleted] 2015-09-14
I thought it would be obvious that the question was posed to Americans, as it is the first word in the title.
1 LetsHackReality 2015-09-14
You mean North Americans? Or both North and South?
2 [deleted] 2015-09-14
Costa Ricans get to vote too, right?
0 LetsHackReality 2015-09-14
Ooooh he meant Central Americans? I kinda lump us into North America I guess.
0 King-Hell 2015-09-14
Fair enough. :)

I'd like to vote for either Walker, Paul, or Cruz. Maybe Trump as a last option, but definitely not Bush. If Sanders was pro-gun he'd probably be a top choice.
7 Hell_Awaits_2015 2015-09-14
Sanders is pro Tell-everyone-exactly-what-they-want-to-hear-then-fuck-them-hard-once-elected just like Obama. Here's to "Change 2016"
3 [deleted] 2015-09-14
I'm gonna vote for whoever says they'll bring "hope and change," what could go wrong?
3 Hell_Awaits_2015 2015-09-14
Absolutely nothing! /s
-1 MalZoclypso 2015-09-14
Sanders has a lot more integrity than that. He's been in the system too long though. Young Bernie would be a very different candidate than jaded and old Bernie.
But yeh. It's all puppet theater and Sanders would probably destroy America. Maybe I'll vote for him after all.
0 SecondSight_ 2015-09-14
As someone not from the US and not really informed about the candidates, can I ask why someone sane would even consider voting for Trump ? I live in germany, and from what I know from him or what he stands for, he is some kind of the evil comic relief of a politician. And actually can´t believe he is really a choice.
Could you (briefly) describe why you would consider that ? Even as a last option ?
4 I_wear_suits_daily 2015-09-14
Trump definitely has some things going for him. He's turning down campaign contributions, speaks from his heart, and isn't afraid of anything. He seems to speak with honesty and with confidence. Basically, he isn't a hypocrite. He's also taking illegal immigration more seriously than anyone else. He may be brash but he has a strong personality. He seems like someone foreign leaders wouldn't want to mess with.
1 MalZoclypso 2015-09-14
He's a complete fucking dolt.
"China"
-1 SecondSight_ 2015-09-14
Thanks for answering. For sure he speaks with honesty. I don´t need to like what he says, but at least it´s the (his) truth. Considering the other candidates in this point Trump becomes a valid choice.
Maybe excluding Sanders, but he sound to good to be true (from a european viewpoint, I guess :) ). And IF he is real, I´m sure he won´t live long enough to get elected.
3 I_wear_suits_daily 2015-09-14
The thing with Trump is that we know what kind of politics he'll do if elected. We probably don't have to worry about him telling people what they want to hear and then screwing us over (like Obama to some extent).
2 metabolix 2015-09-14
Sorry to say this buddy, but their master is all the same. You are living within an illusion of choice.
3 I_wear_suits_daily 2015-09-14
Can you elaborate? How do they have the same "master"?
-1 metabolix 2015-09-14
If its not amptly clear to you by now, no amount of elaboration will do.
3 I_wear_suits_daily 2015-09-14
Could you explain a little, or link to some sources?
-1 metabolix 2015-09-14
If there was a link to common sense, I would have pasted it all over. But I'm sorry, there is no link for that. ;)
2 I_wear_suits_daily 2015-09-14
How is this a matter of common sense? If you're going to make a claim, it's a matter of common sense to be able to provide at least SOME explanation or sources.
-1 metabolix 2015-09-14
All sources lead to Rome. That's why. If you can't follow along, then you are not ready for the truth. Tread along, young man.
2 I_wear_suits_daily 2015-09-14
What should I follow along? You're basically posting random replies without providing any info.
1 MalZoclypso 2015-09-14
Apparently you missed Palin.
Reagan was an actor not a benefactor.
America's political choices are shit for reasons mentioned above in the Douglas Addams quote.
-3 Freedom-Seeker 2015-09-14
Leaning Dr. Ben Carson right now.
2 dejenerate 2015-09-14
Makes me sad that you're downvoted here and no one's bothered to comment.
I posted a joke comment here because the current field of candidates mostly makes my head explode, but I am leaning Dr. Carson's way, too. I'm not happy with some of his policy stances, but he seems the most insightful, intelligent, and self-aware. And he certainly won for insightful hilarity at the last GOP debate. Like, actual comedic value vs. unintentional comedic value (Trump, oy, what an embarrassment).
I'm really looking forward to the debates tomorrow...
1 Freedom-Seeker 2015-09-14
Thanks for commenting. There's just something about Dr. Carson which I find so incredibly refreshing. I'm not sure if you follow his nightly Facebook question and answers, but numerous times, I've gotten a lot of hope, and inspiration from them.
His healing hands, quite literally are exactly what this country needs. Some of his policy's, particularly foreign policy's haven't been very clear, but I'm hoping to hear more about them in tomorrows debate.
