So those TSA body scanners that everyone was up in arms about, we all just put up with them now?

Still not proven to be safe. And they are effectively mandatory now. No more opting out. If you opt out they can make you wait 24 hours, meaning you miss your flight. No one cares about this any more?

Nope. Just another reason to take my tourism dollars to a less dystopian country.

Nope. I stopped traveling by plane. The next time I use an American airport, it will be a one way ticket.

They can stick their precious American wasteland tourism dollars where the sun won't shine. I can go to Canada or any Latin American paradise and see much nicer, more pristine sights and attractions without being traumatized by the Travelers' Stasi Agency.
Never, ever, will I travel to that shithole with my luggage open for Shaniqua and Jesus of the TSA to rob me of my expensive belongings. Never, ever, will I walk through their carcinogenic devices, because I'm white, I'm European, I'm a 'christian' and I have absolutely nothing even remotely suspicious about me.
Those things weren't meant to keep terrorists out: they were meant to keep YOU in and immobilize you and your family. Or to keep sane foreign folks out, so they can't head back and warn people of the US police state.

No one cares about anything a week or two after the dust settles. Which is why nothing ever gets done about stuff like this.

The sad truth. I say we start our own freedom group. We use the deepnet as our channels of communication and go from there.
2 Mr_Ease 2015-10-22
I would expect that if we were to form a group that fights for what the people really want...we would be labled as some sort of terrorist organisation. The group 'anonymous' tried doing something similar and have been branded cyber terrorists by the FBI

And do what? Blow up airports?
5 scdcslave 2015-10-22
I won't shower for a week ahead of traveling and opt for the strip search.

Lick your lips seductively when they cup your dick.
2 BannedByTheAdmins 2015-10-22
Then realize you made a mistake when they then decide to perform a body cavity search.

If it's using their highly specialized "tools," that's debatable.

I refuse to let those people near me. I don't fly, don't travel. I was born in the fifties. I'm sober twenty-two years, and I glance askance at HSD and the TSD (and not even necessarily all who work for them, but that's a different discussion), feeling these Gilliam-esque agencies of obfuscation and control/programming are far more dangerous than anyone realizes. Coupled with the permanent "State of Emergency" at the Federal level, re-signed by Obama, it obviates the Congressionally-mandated ninety-day waiting period before Martial Law can be declared. w. bush initiated the SOE.
Now why does the US Gov't. want the ability, which it never sought, even after two world wars, to jail its citizens at a moment's notice?

Truth is, you are already in prison. You might have some nice amenities, though.
1 RankInsubordination 2015-10-22
Perception is reality. But four walls do not a prison make.
Go South, young man, go South. But do your research carefully.

It's radiation and they are not "safe." I always opt out when flying. They still get their purposeless harassment security theater in though.
2 mistercrinkles 2015-10-22
My fiancee opted out when she was pregnant, which basically left her to be harassed for as long as they wanted to. This was in April, did they really start instituting a 24 hour wait??
2 brettyrocks 2015-10-22
I wouldn't say "all". I haven't been through an airport security checkpoint since 2002.

Stupid fucking Americans man

Every time I fly I position myself to go through the metal detector but get rerouted at the last minute to the backscatter MRI machine.

I was wondering about this too. I had to go through these full body scanners where you have to raise your arms up a few times now but now I'm thinking I'm not gonna allow it anymore. What can I do about this? Can they force me to go through it if I want to get on the plane? And what is the alternate option, like a body search? Can I even demand I get a female to do this if I don't want my private parts to be touched by a male?
What the fuck is this shit? I can't use airplanes anymore if I don't go through these cancer machines?
3 DrSultanPhDD 2015-10-22
yeah ask for a pat down instead of the scanner. they legally have to do it, and they legally have to match the TSA agent's sex with yours.
1 Geralt23 2015-10-22
So it has to be a male? That's kind of inappropriate for me. How awful is a pat down? To what extent do they go? Do they touch the genital area at all? I consider a quick feeling with the palm or the top of the hand a touch as well.

Yep. Thier purpose is to destroy your DNA.

Governments fault, thank God I live in Australia.
3 mrhappyoz 2015-10-22
Didn't we just get them in Sydney airport?
1 chessc 2015-10-22
Already in Melbourne airport and there's no choice to opt out.
