I refuse to let those people near me. I don't fly, don't travel. I was born in the fifties. I'm sober twenty-two years, and I glance askance at HSD and the TSD (and not even necessarily all who work for them, but that's a different discussion), feeling these Gilliam-esque agencies of obfuscation and control/programming are far more dangerous than anyone realizes. Every time I fly I position myself to go through the metal detector but get rerouted at the last minute to the backscatter MRI machine.

I was wondering about this too. I had to go through these full body scanners where you have to raise your arms up a few times now but now I'm thinking I'm not gonna allow it anymore. What can I do about this? Can they force me to go through it if I want to get on the plane? And what is the alternate option, like a body search? Can I even demand I get a female to do this if I don't want my private parts to be touched by a male?
