Grassy Knoll

I'm sure many of you believe, as I do, that Lee Harvey Oswald could not have been the only person involved in the assassination of JFK. Today I had the pleasure of taking a drive by the grassy knoll where JFK was assassinated. I was able to see both the building where Oswald "supposedly" took his shot and the exact spot where JFK got hit. If any of you get the chance to see this area, you will definitely believe that Oswald could not have acted alone. The angles of the positions are very odd if Oswald was a lone shooter. My beliefs have strengthened after being able to see this area. Just wanted to share this experience with you all.

at the time, trees would have been in Oswald's line of sight

There were 3 shooters that day, not just two. JFK wanted us off the petrodollar and back on a Gold Standard.

I thought the multiple shooter theory was 5+ people?

Francis Richard Conolly (JFK to 9/11: Everything Is A Rich Man's Trick) subscribes to an 8 shooter theory including several spotters and signalers, with the head shot coming from the storm drain.

Edit: Explanation here

I accept all possible explanations except the warren commission. One of my favorite books is Head Shot by Paul Chambers. No political speculation about who or why just good science about how and where, and a closely reasoned argument against the conclusions of the Warren Commision.

Right, that is where I got my info about it. Great documentary. What's your opinion on his theory?

It's like he combined every theory into one. I know people reported smelling gunpowder on Elm Street, but i don't think anyone reported hearing a loud gun shot anywhere near the storm drain.

Well, the sniper could've used a silencer....

Aren't silencers basically a fairy tale from the movies, especially at that range?

Oh cool.

8 shooters is literally the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. To anyone with a thimble full of knowledge of this case, it's completely nonsensical.

Yeah I heard 2 shooters but I never would have thought 5+

They had to make sure he was dead

LBJ was the shot-caller

There were multiple conspiracies. LBJ ran the conspiracy to cover up the conspiracy to kill. There were also lots of conspiracies to deflect investigations into the conspiracies......

I don't think Oswald fired a shot at all and Dealey plaza was a shooting gallery November 22, 1963.

Despite my wrong assumptions, I also don't think he did

He may be the only one who told the truth that day, our news folks all sold out and stayed sold out. "I am the patsy," said Oswald.

It is an interesting experience to stand in Dealey Plaza and stand at the (alleged) positions of various (alleged) shooters. My first thought was that the Dal-Tex building was the book depository because it make a straight shot. Realizing I was wrong I went into the museum and took a gander out of the snipers nest (you can't get that close because it's sectioned off). The spot puts a right handed shooter against some pipes in an awkward position firing somewhat parallel to the street (we can argue the actual blockage by the tree some other time). The timing and angle of the car, building, street, target, all make it a somewhat difficult shot. The Dal-Tex on the other hand is a straight view and shot through the back of JFK's head. My impression of the shot from the grassy knoll is that I could have taken JFK's head off with a good sized rock. You could make the shot all day. We can speculate endlessly on the number of shooters and their positions. Though I will convince no one, I think an honest appraisal of available documentation will lead to the conclusion that their was a conspiracy to assassination JFK.

The Church committee was allowed to say there was probably a conspiracy but nothing more.

I had a history teacher who took the time to go thought some of the HSCA findings with us in school. It lead to my life long interests in the JFK assassination. It sure is a great stepping stone to deep politics.

The Grassy Knoll is more of a state of mind than anything. It a belief in a Shangri-La, where unanswerable questions are answered.

My first visit to the Grassy Knoll included a stroll through the area on foot followed by a sojourn to Reunion Arena where I watched Pearl Jam perform Brain of J.

The whole world will be reliving it soon.

It was cool cuz my best-girl at the time still had the original photo of JFK snapped by her mother just around the corner from Zapruder's famous money shot.

What's odd about the angles and position?

When you see in videos JFK was shot in the front of the head. The building where Oswald was in, was nearly parallel to the motorcade. To me it just didn't seem possible that Oswald could have shot JFK in the head if his vehicle was already about to pass the building.

I assume you're referring to the doctored Zapruder film, no?

No, he wasn't. He was hit from behind. All 3 videos shot in Dealey Plaza confirm it, as do the anthropologist verified x-rays and the autopsy photos.

I see blood spray exit the front. Indicating a shot from behind.

Why not?

Alright, alright. So maybe it my own opinion but it rreeaallllyy seems like the shot came through the front or front/side. From this I don't think the angles add upp

If he were shot from the front, blood spray would've blown backwards.

His head at the time of impact was angled down/left. Indicating a shot from behind to the top/right. So the angles match Oswald's general location.

Link to a video that demonstrates this?

The .gif OP posted that I responded to...

Hmm ok ok I see your point. I guess I just always thought the opposite.

Most people see the video and claim that his head movement indicates the motion of the bullet. The whole 'back and to the left' thing.

The problem with that is that this isn't Hollywood. Bullets don't cause body parts to fly about, especially bullets that exit the body - which aren't expending all of their energy into the person. In fact, his head jolts noticeably after the bullet has already passed through, rather than during.

/side rant

I see. Really, thanks for that. I've been under false assumptions 0_o
