Good Alternative media recommendations?

20  2015-12-04 by hamtaylor

Looking for readers recommendations on some interesting podcast discussions, topics, guests, etc.

Did the infowars thing until Jones turned his crazy up to 11.

Tried Coast to Coast but felt it was too safe, glancing over dirt rather than digging through it.

Tried Caravan to Midnight until the presenter went mad for Jesus.

Any help folks?

I listen to James Corbett and Black Op radio. These are the only two I would highly recommend. Still I need more to fill the gap.

Thanks!

CorbettReport and BFP (Boiling Frogs Post). I also think AMTV has some good info. I do not always agree with AMTV, but for the most part, there is good info. The latter two are great resources.

AMTV should do a podcast/radio show. I don't think he has one right now.

Mike Rivero @ whatreallyhappened. Corbett report is another.

Why doesn't Rivero have a podcast? I'm not seeing anything...I could swear that I remember him having a podcast for the show.

Edit: Here's what he calls his podcast page, but it's just mp3s of the show.

He has a radio show that he live streams. There's a guy on YouTube who edits out all the commercials from the show

Ron Gibson

Yes him. I wish a podcast ads free version was available.

Me too. No reason to eat up data on YouTube when it's just audio. Plus, podcasts have better user experience over playing mp3 audio in your mobile browser, which will eat up your battery life faster.

I highly recommend Pete Santilli......I don't care much for the religious spect but he has a lot of good information and a stand up and get things done activist.....

I like Pete, but he seems to be unhealthily-obsessed with Alex Jones. He has a perpetual, raging AJ-jealousy boner that makes it hard to listen to at times. His female co-host begs him not to go into jealousy rages where he routinely acts like a toddler (name-calling,) but he doesn't listen to her.

He has a great radio voice and a lot of potential, but he really needs to grow up a bit.

That's true.....especially at the beginning of his shows.....

Zero hedge can be pretty informative but it can be a lot of reading

Um what? I think doing the reading is the point.

Seemed like OP was more interested in listening to a podcast which is why I mentioned it..

Ah, I see.

Podcasts:

  • Clyde Lewis, Ground Zero (highly recommended)
  • Media Roots
  • Doug Owen's Blacklisted Radio
  • The Power Hour
  • Hagmann & Hagmann Report

  • Peter Schiff Show Podcast
  • We The People w/Jesse Ventura (now defunct, but a great & not-very-old archive)

Do any of y'all know about Jim Stone? I just discovered his site a few days ago. I do not know what to think. Some things seem legit, but others not so much.

His website looks like digital vomit. Impossible to take him seriously.

I was trying to look at like I do churches. If the word is so powerful. Then is should not need all the bells and whistles. Amazes me the amount of people who donate to him. appreciate your response though.

21stcenturynewswire is pretty good. Corbett, who of course you mentioned. Global Research is usually pretty close to the mark, too.

I like Commondreams.org and reuters, I find that they are informative with a little less drama. Although common dreams seems biased because it focuses on environmental issues.

reuters? are you serious?

at least you get the approved message direct unfiltered and unspun

I think Reuters has the least amount of spin for being a mainstream news sources. You need to view all different sources. You can't just get your news from the conspiracy subreddit.

Joe Rogan podcast.

AlienScientist until Jeremy dissapeared off the face of the earth.
