The police murdered my sister
94 2015-12-27 by JesseRising
This was in 2011 when there were a lot of cyberattacks. My sister was 14 at the time, and she was likely involved in that. Something happened, and my sister and her friends got in trouble for threatening to kill someone, so the FBI visited our house and asked her questions but they left. The local police arrest her a day later and then that night she dies. My parents are told that it was a suicide and that she cut her wrist. However, my sister is left-handed, but her left wrist was cut. She also had taken valium and she didn't even know what valium was, so I don't know why she would willingly take it.
I have her death certificate, and I tried to get her autopsy and the investigation of her death, but they told me both times that such record does not exist. I even asked if she was ever there, and they told me she was not. They didn't just give me some fake one or some made up one. They literally told me that it doesn't exist when the death certificate proves otherwise. I faxed them a copy and they couldn't explain it and just told me that they didn't have the records I was looking for.
What I'm thinking is that the Feds couldn't prove that my sister was involved in the 2011 cyberattacks, so they had her killed. Then they covered it up by deleting all her records because they realize later that they made a mistake in cutting her wrists.
All media mention of her is also nonexistent. There would have been some media reports of her death, but her name returns nothing.

sorry for your loss.

Thanks

She died in police custody or at her home?
8 JesseRising 2015-12-27
in police custody
6 keepcalmson 2015-12-27
Is there a record of this incident?
13 JesseRising 2015-12-27
That's what I've been trying to get. They should have a record that she was there, and that she died there, but they tell me that it doesn't exist. When I initially called, the lady I talked to even told me that she was never there.
7 polkadotgirl 2015-12-27
Hmm the responses here suck. A real conspiracy and nobody can offer good advice.
Could your family obtain a lawyer?
13 ButtVampireZ 2015-12-27
What advice are we supposed to give? We have next to no useful information. Not even enough information to believe this even happened. I mean.. how could someone even claim to have knowledge that someone else didn't even know what a valium was? That's not information worth anything.
Any advice given would be garbage and useless without knowing far more than we do, and ... frankly... police are not slitting peoples wrists. I'm sorry. It's just not happening, 14 year olds are not getting murdered over pathetically silly and vague 'cyberattack' nonsense.
2 subroc77 2015-12-27
OP shared this on /r/legaladvice and the common determination was that the story definitely didn't add up.
1 nonorat 2015-12-27
I just read up on slitting your wrists, and it actually advised you use your offhand to cut your preferred wrist, then reverse.
It also confirmed my suspicions that cutting your wrists, rather than slashing open your forearms would take hours and hours for you to bleed out, and often doesn't work.
Also, how did she take Valium in police custody? OP's description seems contradictory, although is likely missing detail.
9 JesseRising 2015-12-27
My parents have accepted it as a suicide, and my mom is dying, so I don't want it really bring it up. I only got the death certificate after going through their things.
I spoke to a few a lawyers who told me that I don't have enough to prove that she was murdered. They told me to come back with more evidence.
9 TurdFergusonIII 2015-12-27
Ask those lawyers what kind of evidence they need in order to take on your case, then find a private investigator to try to get it. At least that would be my next move.
2 gombo223 2015-12-27
Private investigator versus the police.
I wanna see how this develops.
-1 IllusionaryWeapons 2015-12-27
You sound like a MS conspirator trying to make a political gain from a situation like OP finds himself in, can you sink any lower?
3 polkadotgirl 2015-12-27
What?!? I have no idea what you're talking about
7 JoeBloggsNZ 2015-12-27
I'm going to go with "bullshit" on this one.
5 loserlame 2015-12-27
Im sorry if this is crude, but did you see her body afterwards? If they dont have records, maybe they just moved her to a secret location.
1 JesseRising 2015-12-27
No, I didn't. I was 14, my parents didn't let me.
2 loserlame 2015-12-27
But they did see her Im assuming. Im truly sorry for your loss, and I hope you find peace.
6 JesseRising 2015-12-27
They did see her. I didn't go to her funeral though I should have. They had her body cremated because she once joked that she wouldn't want her body to be eaten by worms.
1 keepcalmson 2015-12-27
What kind of cyber attacks are we talking abot?
2 collectorthis 2015-12-27
Was she your twin?
4 JesseRising 2015-12-27
Yeah, she was. We missed a lot of twin stuff.
4 delelles 2015-12-27
Hey man, I'm so sorry to hear this.
Have you thought about making a website or video to make a big stink about the death of your sister? Granted, doing so would probably cause trouble for you and your family, much like Steven Avery from 'Making A Murderer' on Netflix, but may eventually lead to the truth.
If you need money for a private investigation and proper representation, you could use GoFundMe to raise funds. I would certainly chip-in.
1 JesseRising 2015-12-27
I haven't thought of it, but I suppose it's not a bad idea. Thanks
7 delelles 2015-12-27
You might contact someone like Luke from WeAreChange to cover this. I could see him taking this story on in a video. You're gonna need exposure and public outcry to get anywhere in your investigations I'm thinking. And, there's less of a chance of the FBI retaliating against you if the public is watching. Sunlight is the best disinfectant.
1 JesseRising 2015-12-27
That is a really good idea. How do I contact him or get reporters involved in general?
1 delelles 2015-12-27
I'll help you dig up contact info if you like.
1 JesseRising 2015-12-27
There actually seems to be a bunch of similar news reporting sites. I've e-mailed my story to a few of them, so I'm waiting for replies now.
1 delelles 2015-12-27
Cool, just private messaged you.
3 Truleighscrumptious 2015-12-27
honey..i mean this in the nicest way. If someone wants to commit suicide..they will find a way. My friend courtney was left handed & slit both wrists..its left handed not no hand. Think of all us right handers can do with our left hands..also this will lead no where & eat you alive.
My brother commited public suicide. A comment on our news fb said a person was watching with binoculars from the 2story apartment complex across the street from where my brother was. He said when the swat team ran up he saw my brother hand over a gun & go to give the 2nd one up..but the cop holding my brothers gun panicked shooting him in the chest. That was never proven because the news footage shuts off at that moment like it was edited & picks up with my brother dying in the parking lot. We looked into it all & had more leads. It only brought more heartache :( its NOT easy hearing your loved one commited suicide..it sucks.
As for the valium..sometimes jails give it to keep them calm. They keep it cold, food is loaded in carbs & they give people who need it sedatives. Its all to keep the jail as controlled as possible.
I do hope you dont take any of this as me calling you crazy or etc..ive been where you are questioning everything. Im always up to talk if you would like too...just an ear of sorts to vent too. My heart truly hurts for you love.
2 Truleighscrumptious 2015-12-27
my brother also died in 2011. On my 23rd birthday at that 2 weeks after i had a csection to my son not breathing. I was a mess..still go to dark days every bow & again.
2 JesseRising 2015-12-27
So sorry for your brother and friend.
I think my sister only cut her left-wrist. The autopsy reports would have it, but I don't have access to it because they're saying that it doesn't exist.
It doesn't hurt me to look into this. I feel I owe it to her if she was murdered because she'd had done the same for me. It makes me closer to her because we were twins and we were suppose to be in each others classes and like graduate high school together and all.
1 Truleighscrumptious 2015-12-27
i mean the hitting dead ends etc.. my step dad is a cop & even he was hitting walls within his own dept. It gets frustrating. The one thing we were able to do is after the cops released opinions/lies our lawyer made the same reporter & paper interview my mom & brothers wife to swt shit straight. The intial news report was awful it pegged my brother as a terrorists basically.
2 JesseRising 2015-12-27
I'm so sorry that they did that.
I just want to prove it before my mom dies. I want to be able to tell my mom that she didn't kill herself and that she was murdered and her killer is known and that s/he'll go to prison for it.
1 Truleighscrumptious 2015-12-27
Just dont let it consume you. Four years later & trying to find info is like searching for artifacts. You may find false hope and go down leads that take you no where in the end or you may find the holy grail. Just don't let it consume you. The worst thing we can do for our gone loved ones is not to live fully. They dont get to anymore ya know. I really wish you the absolute best & hope you find answers. You're full of questions & its hard because thats not having closure.
3 JesseRising 2015-12-27
There's not really anything else in my life anyway. Searching for this makes me feel close to her and I'm more alive than I had been since she died, so it's worth it for me even if it turns out that she did kill herself.
1 911bodysnatchers322 2015-12-27
I can tell you are a good person JesseRising. I am sorry this happened to you.
1 tatonkanator 2015-12-27
Did you go to the coroners office and see if they had her on file?
2 ekudram 2015-12-27
"they" erased her. I read also though all your responses. This does smell like a cover up and it looks like all the evidence is vanishing fast. I am worried though that if you got any real evidence that "they" (cops, judge and others) would come after you. Be careful please.
You maybe out of luck on this or running out of it fast.
1 JesseRising 2015-12-27
i have actually worried about the government coming after me for this, so I didn't want to say her name, and I'm nervous about creating a website for her.
5 Dawg1shly 2015-12-27
Sounds like you are young and do not have the funds to hire a lawyer. You don't want to push your folks when mom is sick. Understandable.
I would reach out to some investigative reporters that specialize in this type of thing.

Post an image of the Death certificate and post and any local news on the story. Have you tried to contact any local news stations?

How long was she in their custody before her death? If they gave her drugs and she died under their supervision surely you could at least sue for $. Of course this would not bring her back but it might open up new doors.
2 JesseRising 2015-12-27
She died at 6 AM and they took her in the evening sometime before dinner, probably 5 PM.

Curious to know too
1 justamonarch 2015-12-27
So very sorry for your loss. I have been the victim of a violent crime in which investigation it was clear that I mattered not one whit, and truth never came to light. I wonder if some enterprising attorney might not at some point decide to subpoena nsa. Records.....seems like they "have it all" and I truly wonder how much crime against the citizens is being obscured by these cunts....good luck to you op document, document, document.
1 govtflu 2015-12-27
Incomplete / missing paperwork on an in custody death is a definite red flag... not necessarily nefarious like murder... think liability / extreme policy violations / negligence as well.
Private or government facility?.. A private facility usually hires easily disposable "non sworn" (civilian) guards, while a county /city / local govt is staffed by professionally trained + vetted "sworn" law enforcement officers who have rights against summary dismissal..
Private facilities will have many more disgruntled former employees willing to talk, if its a govt facility...try retired officers and officers who work for a different dept.
Talk to others who were in custody about the same time...
There should have been copious amounts of blood, being a juvenile facility, likely they have a janitorial staff...
Make sure you can recieve information anonymously...
Find out what bars they go drinking at after work.. become a regular, eavesdrop like a fly on the wall.. record everything you can. Even better, send a hot scantily clad female, or 2, to these bars... they'll get liquored & trip over their dicks to impress tail. Different shifts often have different spots btw..
0 Federal_Security 2015-12-27
A - sorry for your loss
B - odds are if she was doing unstable things as threatening to kill someone, she probably was either on, or at a minimum, knew about various drugs
C - in corroboration with being unstable, if she took a potentially mind altering medication, even if she wasn't suicidal, it it can drastically alter her mentality and how she acts
D - if she cut her wrists, like over ~85% of female suicides, it was probably for attention or manipulation. She expected to get caught and taken care of before she died
E - while incarcerated, the state is required to take care of you and a nurse probably prescribed her that medication.
You're just upset and want to find someone to blame other than your sister. It is understandable. But, she probably did do this herself.
Again, I am sorry.
1 911bodysnatchers322 2015-12-27
How'd she get the razor? Why'd she use her nondominant hand? She did this what? Before getting counsel of her parents? These are problems.
2 Federal_Security 2015-12-27
Razors are very common in jail and prison. Especially for womens.
Nondominant hand doesn't really matter in situations like this. Like I said, though, it was all for attention and she expected to be taken care of and accidentally died.
Things like this aren't really "problems" like you say. If you take time and cross check this with other, similar, instances, you'll see that this kind of thing isn't too uncommon for women.
0 whyawoman 2015-12-27
dominant hands would matter. have you ever known anyone suicidal? have you ever known anyone who's cut themselves? have you ever been arrested??
it's easier to use your dominant hand if you want a clean and thorough cut. the non-dominant hand would shake and cause problems. you can't get a good cut if you aren't steady.
police confiscate any "weapons", even lighters, at the time of arrest. she couldn't have gotten her hands on a razor, while in prison, in less than 12 hours. sorry.
your username is eerie, too. trying to cover up something a twin is trying to figure out. did you forget they were twins? twins have some pretty insane bonds, you know. one thing could happen to one of them and the other would know from the other side of the planet.
just saying.
3 Federal_Security 2015-12-27
My username is just my job. I have opinions on things too.
I've worked in a jail, so I do know how that works.
I've also had family members and a member in lae suicidal.
I've also had 3 years of straight criminal justice education which deals alot in suicides with the investigations courses.
I'm not an expert, but I do know what I'm talking about here.
1 whyawoman 2015-12-27
OK, then forget what i said. i didn't mean to insult or harangue. had a horrible christmas. sorry!
1 Federal_Security 2015-12-27
It's cool, I don't mind explaining things I know at all! Hope your days get better, bud.
0 JustLebanese 2015-12-27
I apologize for your loss. Is there anything I can do?
0 ilovetunatacos 2015-12-27
Go to law school.
-2 brainiac1200 2015-12-27
then do something about it. i dont like to sound callous, but youre the only one that can.
5 JesseRising 2015-12-27
I'm trying. I've written requests for her autopsy and investigation reports, and they told me they don't exist.
I can get a lawyer to ask the judge to make them give me the records, but they'll just tell the judge that no records exist. I need a judge to order an investigation, but there's no way of knowing if they'll simply protect each other and find stuff but not tell anyway.
I don't know what else to do. My mom is dying too, and i don't want her to die thinking that my sister committed suicide when she didn't.
-2 GromGromUK 2015-12-27
Let it go dude, sorry for your loss but you're really reaching if you think police are now just killing anyone they can't arrest.
3 JesseRising 2015-12-27
It doesn't necessarily have to be that they couldn't arrest her. Maybe she knew something that they didn't want the public to know.
For example, she suspected government surveillance and had written about it in her blog. I downloaded it though it's not up anymore. Perhaps she finally had proof of it or was getting too close to getting proof.
2 Arkhamwitch 2015-12-27
Would you be willing to show us the blog posts?
0 JesseRising 2015-12-27
They're not online anymore because she stopped paying for server space, but I've downloaded them. I'm not completely sure if I want to share them or not.
-1 911bodysnatchers322 2015-12-27
Hmm so she was a hacker and got ahold of something good. Surprised they didn't just hire her instead. Must have been really top secret info, like moon bases or energy weapons. But if you have her blog, and don't immediately see what they would have killed her over, then chances are by the time you downloaded it, the sensitive material was already scrubbed from her accounts.
2 nonorat 2015-12-27
Yeah, a 14 year old "hacker" would totally be able to find that stuff. /s
1 skunz 2015-12-27
You were so close with you twin but she kept her blog private till she released it? If this were the topic of her next blog before she was taken I think she would have told you, her twin.
0 pbae 2015-12-27
