I watched this series and I think evidence was absolutely planted and there was way too much reasonable doubt to charge Avery with the murder... that being said, I'm still not convinced that he definitely didn't do it. Those are 2 different things. The burden of proof certainly wasn't reached and the planting of evidence was criminal to be sure but I can't rule out the possibility that Avery also did commit the murder. I'd have ruled not guilty because I'd have had no other choice but let's not say we know for sure who did or didn't commit the murder.

Right but you are saying that he was innocent. You can't really say that based on the information given in the documentary. All you can really say is that he was not guilty in accordance with the burden a proof. There was definite guilt on behalf of the state as far as planting evidence goes but that doesn't mean Avery was 100% innocent. He's just not guilty based on what we know.

That documentary isn't even close to something that I would use as evidence. documentaries are there to enlighten us to alternative opinions - that should be researched thoroughly if you are interested.
