I would respectfully disagree, sir. Most things in this sub are indeed conspiracy theories. It's just that we're beginning to find out that most things in the actual world are themselves directly or indirectly influenced by the ubiquitous grasp that the perpetrators of those very conspiracies are in control of.

I think it's pretty obvious 9/11 was manipulated in part by the us gov, and people all over the world are slowly opening there eyes to it. There looking at that, now there looking at this, now there reaching out to other outlets to see if there being lied to.

It's more that those subs reflect the ethos of free flowing information which under-girds the moderation philosophy of this subreddit.
For all intents and purposes, this sub has become a replacement for /r/reddit.com, mostly due to the void created by the admins in the wake of their drive to cleanse /r/all of anything resembling user curated content.

How could those other subs reflect the ethos of free flowing information undergirding this subreddit when this sub's moderation philosophy is itself subordinate to Reddit's general ethos of "controlling content"? After all, every other day we get at least one post in this sub detailing a heavily upvoted post in the front page getting deleted by Reddit mods or of insane vote brigading on some other post.
Oh I see what you're saying. This sub has almost become the last bastion of actual critical thinking and original, undeleted content (as much as such a thing can be possible on this website anyway).
I believe I understand your point. In that sense, I wouldn't entirely disagree with you.

Just a little factoid that is semi-relevant: that tends to be the case with everything. Things that were underground knowledge or of underground interest in the past eventually work their way up to the mainstream. That's how it is with music too. I remember being one of the few people here in the US that was into electronic music back in the 90s and never thinking that it would be so ubiquitous and all over the radio. And lo and behold, it is now. It's just the way the world works.

Some "fringe" things take a LOOOOT longer to make their way into the mainstream than others, however. Take the electric car, for example. We have Tesla Motors today, but did you know that there were fully functional, in production electric cars as far back as the 1920s?
Yes. You're right. Sometimes things do just work that way and what is "fringe" today inevitably becomes "mainstream" tomorrow. However, this simply does not work with everything - at all - and sometimes there's information that's kept so secret and so hidden from the public that it takes a MUCH longer time for it to get out...if it ever gets out at all.

Mark Philips even appears to be a "double agent" operative who act as a lightning rod to round up those who escape from the system and "deal with them." He pretends to be a deprogrammer fighting for the cause of good so those who escape reach out to him for help and then he meets up with them and gets them captured again. I agree, but I could be a bit of both. A lot of what we talk about around here isn't typical conspiracy stuff anymore (ufo's, Giants etc.). A lot of the trending topics are much more realistic and often pretty factual. A lot of what we do here is simply the investigative journalism the msm has moved away from. The reason some of the story's may seem like conspiracies is bc the world is really getting that fucked up. Just a thought..

Yeah not quite. Chelsea Manning is a private individual who has been subject to obvious abuse and injustice. This is clear to anyone who has even glanced into this topic. Meanwhile 75% of the crap in this sub has zero backing whatsoever, has dubious relevance to the real world, and frankly concerns issues that the majority either do not care about or see very differently from those in this sub.

While Manning has 100% been subject to a great deal of torture, the vast majority of it has been at the hands of the state itself. There are a lot of "sheep policing the sheep" here that do vilify Manning, unfortunately, but it doesn't seem to me that this sub has any monopoly on vilifying Manning. If nothing else, I think there are more people here championing him/her than not. I for one champion Manning and think he/she is a true patriot.
[Part of me wants to say "she" because of Manning's gender reassigning, but another part of me doesn't know if it's really Manning's choice or a whole psyop used to vilify and marginalize him/her even more than before, so I don't know...]
As far as the rest of what you said? Sure, there are some "out there" things posted in this sub, but so what? At the end of the day, this place is turning out to question what's really going on more than many other subs in this website, so there's that.

Because questions without meaning are pointless. This place is like a field, there are a few natural caves that we can all go explore together but it seems half the crowd are more interested in digging rabbit-holes to see what's underneath it all. Sure you can question if the Earth is flat or if there's a secret zionist conspiracy controlling the world but it just doesn't get you anywhere. Nothing wrong with seeing what’s underneath it all. Matter of fact, it’s very good to find out what the foundation of a thing is.
Understanding the Earth’s true shape gets you closer to understanding the truth of where you live. That’s important.
