Flytape told him not to dox in that other thread, so I'm assuming he broke a site wide rule even though Fly was cool with him reformulating the post. This could also explain his rambling. Maybe he ducked out for a while since everyone was giving him flak. I found it to be a good lead, but didn't get a chance to dig in myself yet.

Deleted or banned? People self delete all the time, especially around here.

Why? It makes the story more believable. Someone posts info that looks incriminating, states that they may be "disappeared," and then gets themselves banned. They very well could have done so on purpose to make it look like someone is going after them.

More people have a chance of seeing what the story is if it stays posted. I don't know what the story is now. We should have a way to tell if someone self deleted. It's way to easy to do what you suggested.

I can't remember the shooting...But it was at a military base maybe 3 years ago. The guy was allegedly depressed and on "psych meds".

In archive.org I found a Craigslist ad published 2 weeks before the shooting seeking crisis actors to work the military base in question on the date of the shooting. I took a screen shot.

The next day it disappeared. I wasn't hanging out in this sub at the time, but was very concerned about it...

I didn't know what to do so I emailed my screenshot to Cory Doctorow with a sanely worded note. I don't know what he thought, however, he thanked me and didn't make me feel like I was paranoid. I've respected him to this day for not making me feel like I was the typical "conspiracy theorist".
