Notice: on the screen, it's spelled "Berenstain".

On the tape, it's spelled "Berenstein".

Not only is this a difference in the two's spelling conflicting with each other according to the popular dispute, but I don't believe it's ever been spelled with an "e" between the "r" and the "n".

All other forms where I've seen this, do not have this; whether it's "Bernstain" or "Bernstein".

I really think that those Baers had two spellings, I've seen both. The company who publishes them are not clearing it up, because they are getting so much free advertising thanks to this confusion.

I've been told by a friend that it was probably a typo by the distributor during one of the first run of releases. /shrug I think it's cool tho, and fits the conspiracy. :)

There's a thing where people think that originally the Bears names ended in 'ein ' instead of 'ain'. Even the creators don't remember spelling it the first way. But enough typos and people's memories of their childhoods are fuzzy enough on the subject has created a conspiracy where it proves there's two seperate universes.

It's really fun. :) I'm not a believer, but the tape is worth some entertainment value with the fact that there are people who do believe it.
