Dude, I bet if you analyze that tape with a tricorder you'll find all kinds of subspace interference.

Awesome! Better look out the windows after this. Fuck Universe A, take me back to Universe E.

Did they play ball?
2 Jeanniewood 2016-06-28
They did in fact, yes. :)

Notice: on the screen, it's spelled "Berenstain".
On the tape, it's spelled "Berenstein".
Not only is this a difference in the two's spelling conflicting with each other according to the popular dispute, but I don't believe it's ever been spelled with an "e" between the "r" and the "n".
All other forms where I've seen this, do not have this; whether it's "Bernstain" or "Bernstein".
1 Jeanniewood 2016-06-28
Yes, it's spelled differently. :) that's why I posted both pictures.

I really think that those Baers had two spellings, I've seen both. The company who publishes them are not clearing it up, because they are getting so much free advertising thanks to this confusion.

I've been told by a friend that it was probably a typo by the distributor during one of the first run of releases. /shrug I think it's cool tho, and fits the conspiracy. :)

Checkmate, Athiests!
2 Jeanniewood 2016-06-28
Lol- but I'm the atheist. :P
1 [deleted] 2016-06-28
If that is legit and not shopped I want to buy it. How much?
4 Jeanniewood 2016-06-28
I would have to ask my friend. :) He got it with a massive supply of other VHS for the incoming baby.
6 [deleted] 2016-06-28
Ya, ask him what he wants for it. I would pay way more than what he would get at a yardsale. Make it worth the hassle of shipping and all.
6 Jeanniewood 2016-06-28
cool. :) will do so. the neat thing is that the outside of the tape spells in the other way, so he was spazzing out over it. lol
4 [deleted] 2016-06-28
Genuine misprint, and with the controversy over it I would love it for my collection
5 Jeanniewood 2016-06-28
That's what we thought, which is why we as a bunch of adults had to watch a quartet of bears play ball to find out if it was going to be the same way on the title card inside or not. :)
2 PrimalRedemption 2016-06-28
Don't sell it, he will flip it on eBay for a 1000% profit
5 [deleted] 2016-06-28
No, I wouldn't sell it. I collect rare items as a hobby. Shit. Have the original owner put it on ebay and I will outbid everybody else. That way he is sure he gets fair market value. All i ask is let me know about the auction before it starts.
2 PrimalRedemption 2016-06-28
Lol well that thing is like a bonafide Artifact, Indiana Jones style. You will have to wrestle with the Nazis to get it in your hands ;)
1 Jeanniewood 2016-06-28
:) well, he might post it on eBay, but there's some entertainment value to be had in just owning it.
If he does, we'll make sure everyone is warned so that the nazi scum can't win. :)
2 rehms 2016-06-28
Why? So you can destroy it and claim everyone us crazy? F*CKING SHILL!
2 [deleted] 2016-06-28
Yes, we lizard people here at illuminati headquarters are rather upset that this tape exists. We will burn it at our sacrafice during the summer solstice.
2 ItsAJackOff 2016-06-28
Only after reciting some creepy shit written by Alister Crowley.
2 Jeanniewood 2016-06-28
But then how will u up ur gift at next years summer solstice?
1 [deleted] 2016-06-28
Maybe we will get lucky and find a box of fruit loops. Lol
2 Jeanniewood 2016-06-28
:D love it!
1 5arge 2016-06-28
Imagine that... a type-o. That can't happen! It must be time travel!
1 Jeanniewood 2016-06-28
Nah. Pear shaped radioactive electrons or something. I dunno but I saw an article about how time travel is now impossible. :)
1 5arge 2016-06-28
You'll believe anything you read...
0 Jeanniewood 2016-06-28
yes, because it makes more sense to believe in time travel. lol it's all good. :)
1 lloydbennett1 2016-06-28
What am i looking at?
2 Jedy_hacker 2016-06-28
2 jpg's , one terminates in -tein , the other in -tain
1 Jeanniewood 2016-06-28
There's a thing where people think that originally the Bears names ended in 'ein ' instead of 'ain'. Even the creators don't remember spelling it the first way. But enough typos and people's memories of their childhoods are fuzzy enough on the subject has created a conspiracy where it proves there's two seperate universes.
It's really fun. :) I'm not a believer, but the tape is worth some entertainment value with the fact that there are people who do believe it.
1 They_Call_Me 2016-06-28
Don't do this OP
1 Jeanniewood 2016-06-28
But it's fun. :)
1 Jedy_hacker 2016-06-28
Can it be just a Typo?
1 Jeanniewood 2016-06-28
Well, yeah, of course. Lol! But it's a fun typo that fits the conspiracy.

I don't understand what this proves, there's been plenty of examples of typos from the past where "Berenstein" was printed.
2 Jeanniewood 2016-06-28
I dunno. /shrug
The cool thing is on the outside of the VHS it spells it the other way. :)
