Everyone needs to hang your flags upside down
50 2016-07-26 by LightBringerFlex
"The upside down U.S. flag is an official signal of distress. It is not meant to be, and is not officially recognized as any type of disrespect when so displayed for the right reasons. To the contrary, here is the relevant part of the US Code of Laws regarding how to fly the flag when in distress: THE FLAG CODE."
Speak your mind through the simple technique of upside down flagging. Lets get this going nationwide.

Nice flag.

Get one or one similar and fly it with pride. The HOA doesnt like, but those nazis can lick my balls.

Only if you continue to live where there is one.

Theyll have to change the bylaws. There is nothing in there about what kind of flag I can fly.

someone needs to start selling cheap t-shirts with upside down flags and to spread info about 9/11 and recent false flags. create the counter message that won't be heard in the media. bring people together and realize our enemy is power. power vs. the people.

As fucked up as this political mess is, I don't see it as a sign of nation in distress.
No, I celebrate this gaping exposure of bald faced corruption and cover-up, because millions of people are FINALLY realizing how FUCKED UP our system is - and has been for decades. I don't know what will come next, but one thing is certain, if the People don't know it's broke, they aren't going to fix it.
What distresses me the most is the thought that the people will just accept it all, and return to their regularly scheduled programming.

Don't fear any negative outcome. Just keep moving yourself while others do the same. If you get scared that others aren't doing anything, it will demotivate you and work against our cause.

That would be un-American. Not the upside down flag, but being in distress. It's not cool or appropriate to be upset. It's fine on TV but not on Main St.

I concur!!

a Vet tried that and they kicked him out of his apartment.

File a civil rights complaint and collect easy CASh$$$, just as recently happened (no linky) and as many photogs of police have

Upside down flag would be appropriate if we were invaded and you had enemies hiding in your house. More like a signal that something is wrong.
20 LightBringerFlex 2016-07-26
We've been invaded by giant corporations who have stolen our democracy and enslaved the population. Is this not good enough reason?
-4 Fullofshitguy 2016-07-26
Are they hiding in your house right now and there's a group you want to alert to come kick the door and rescue you? Don't get me wrong, I think shit is fucked up but we need to get rid of the criminals in the govt not use symbolic gestures inappropriately.
4 LightBringerFlex 2016-07-26
What would you suggest? We need a way to express our feelings through symbolism.
2 jarxlots 2016-07-26
Make a new symbol. I volunteer.
1 FoxyLoveCompany 2016-07-26
Design our own flag.
1 Callsign_Victor 2016-07-26
I'd be down to fly it.
-1 jarxlots 2016-07-26
By the new XBallz from Microsoft and then you have legal grounds for 'them' "hiding in your house right now."

Respect for Flag
The flag should never be displayed with the union down, except as a signal of dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property.
Quick interpretation: “Dire distress and extreme danger to life or property” should not be taken lightly here. These instances do not include moments of personal dissatisfaction or times of protest. While it is legal to express yourself in whatever way you so chose, it is illegal to fly an American flag upside down unless you are in a life or death situation. People have faced legal charges for flying an American flag upside down. Stores have also been forced to remove upside down American flags on clothing.
11 LightBringerFlex 2016-07-26
In another words, the US doesn't want us to express our feelings? Shit.... Who made this rule?
We need a way to express our feelings on a massive scale.
4 jarxlots 2016-07-26
Notice exactly what ridestraight is saying:
A photograph, depiction, or drawing of a flag, is not a flag. An upside down sticker of the US flag, is not a flag.
BREAKING NEWS AT THIS HOUR
That's fucking insane. How can that possibly fly? Are we talking American flag clothing such as AbbieHoffman might've worn? Or are we talking depictions of the American flag on clothing? Some appellate court didn't do their job (I'm so surprised.)
2 ridestraight 2016-07-26
One guy posted a huge flag, secured upside down on his property fencing, right after 9/11. Everyone knew what he intended and it wasn't on a flag pole so his protest was accepted.
I've still not figured out how the police can deface the flag on their patches, legally...but hell, they're above the law.
1 Callsign_Victor 2016-07-26
They can do that? Since when?
3 ridestraight 2016-07-26
Seems so. The thin blue line and the one with a black stripe.
3 Callsign_Victor 2016-07-26
Have a source on that?
I'm interested...
4 jarxlots 2016-07-26
Have you not seen the thousands of vehicles surreptitiously showing support for the police by putting blue painter's tape on their back windows? Or the vehicles that have had all chrome parts painted dark blue, for the same purpose?
3 Callsign_Victor 2016-07-26
I've seen those a lot recently, that's what I thought they correlated to.
But Police defacing their own badges is amusing
1 jarxlots 2016-07-26
Indeed it is.
It is, and now I'll have to look for that...
3 Callsign_Victor 2016-07-26
I like to keep a safe 500 ft away from any police officer.
But I'll keep my eyes open nonetheless
2 jarxlots 2016-07-26
Yeah I was just thinking about this...
May have to get a telescope...
2 Callsign_Victor 2016-07-26
Careful, have to keep it small so you're not suspected of doing something illegal
2 jarxlots 2016-07-26
A Florida man was arrested this afternoon. Police received a call to the 900 block of Cooper St. where the man was found to be disturbing the peace. Police searched the man, and recovered a microscope. When questioned, the man stated "... [he] didn't want to be suspected of doing something illegal with a telescope." The city DA's office has issued a statement that they will be pressing charges for disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, and having weird shit in your pockets.
2 Callsign_Victor 2016-07-26
That was beautiful.
2 jarxlots 2016-07-26
Why, thank you.

Listening to this later
Funny how those are so popular yet they're defacing the flag.
EDIT: I can't fucking spell

Oh those?
I've seen those everywhere.
What's so bad about them?
3 ridestraight 2016-07-26
Didn't voice an opinion one way or another. Just what is out there.
3 jargonoid 2016-07-26
The US flag doesn't have a blue stripe.
3 Callsign_Victor 2016-07-26
Ahh this is true.
But it's tactikewl and shows our respect for the men and women in blue!!!/s
1 jargonoid 2016-07-26
And disrespect for the country, but no one ever mentions that bit.
2 Callsign_Victor 2016-07-26
How funny, sad and insulting that is huh?
Oh well, they'll do what they want.
-6 Toke_Blue 2016-07-26
Go home
2 jarxlots 2016-07-26
Maybe they are already at home. What then?
