It is as I suspected. The linked video shows the same marks but under makeup. You can see the depression in that side of his cheek. Move to Tuesday and the only difference is it appears to be redder, possibly from some slight blood loss, or... idk, picking at it? Pause the video at 0:06 while Berns looks off to his left, eyes open, mouth agape. I'd guess surgery occurred at some point as that wound matches similar wounds I have seen from people that have had goiters, cysts, tumors removed from their face.

i saw that and went looking for video and found it on a cnn loop enlarged it on my screen and yup the cut and the three or more bruises can be seen all over the side of his face and near cut, some swelling under the corner of his mouth down toward cheek in two parts of his jowl the colors are greens and light purple. You need to open your eyes and actually look of not bother to offer such cheap answers Bother to look by his ear around the cut, on his cheek on his front and back jowl line u will see bruising below the corner of his mouth leading into the chin just a bit very swolen.. how could any one miss any of these things and that is no razor cut unless it was a razor someone put to his face or neck then yes

I found numerous photos on Google Images of Bernie w/the same "wound" which is either something he cuts while shaving or picks at out of a nervous habit.
