Haven't you heard about Millennials? They're spoiled. They can't do anything. Let's leave the future of our society in the hands of geezers. They know what's best.
It's not about that. We don't typically have anyone under 30 be president. So the question is, where is Gen X? Oh that's right, they're still being held underwater screaming like they've been the last 20 yrs. By the George Soroses, the Obamas, The Clintons, the Bushes, both neoliberals and neocons alike. Turns out, this neo- fucker wasn't our friend
But yeah, held underwater screaming about captures the socioeconomic and political empowerment of GenX
I'm beginning to think the boomers are seagull managers of doom. They swooped in, ate up everything, shat everywhere, and then flew away to retire in beautiful places while the rest of the world is a burning tire fire on top of a diseased robot factory.
If we made military nanites that targetted formaldehyde and then chemtrailed the planet we could basically win this generational war /dark
Well, I'm a Boomer. Tail-end, last of the last, by a matter of days, but a Boomer all the same. Took me a long time to shake off decades of brainwashing, though.
Don't be too harsh on that generation -- they were mentally assaulted like no other peoples in history, via drugs, technology, visual/aural programming. Tough to get past it. I literally became physically ill for about three weeks when I forced myself to accept the facts I could no longer dismiss, mock or rationalize.
The notion that a 70 year old is out of touch or worse, is sophomoric.
When you reach the age of 45 - you'll understand just how young that truly is.
When you see your 55th birthday you'll begin to see the world as a complete process of manufactured (controllable) events, rather than a compartmentalized association of circumstance and happen-chance that randomly occurred.
At 60 you're free again - you are your own person. You've passed all the BS to reclaim your mind and position on this earth. Even if you're "playing the game" you are seriously engaged as a mature adult - not a questioning petulant overgrown adolescent.
At or around the 70 year mark you have a far better sense of self-control and steadfast patience for your fellow man. It is at this point that wisdom leads your decision making; you respond rather than react. Knee-jerk reactions have long vanished. You employ a deliberate approach to everything you do; it is calming and effective. You wish to provide comfort and peace and joy not hardship, war and fear.
Or, we could just elect a dude/gal fresh from the beer pong table - your call.
This being looked down upon is why the world is in the state is is right now. Questioning is beaten out of people from a young age for a reason. It's harder to control people who ask the question "Why?".
Not the asking of questions, but the lack of asking the correct questions. This is what I'm talking about.
Rather than, "Why do we let people who are almost 70 fucking years old run for president?"
This is what I am referring to. Critical thinking is absolutely promoted, but this ageism and racism and genderism and otherism is promoting nonthinking people to ask the selfish questions first.
You said you don't get to shitpost anything without rhyme or reason. Okay, OP didn't shit post. He asked a question, didn't even make a point about it. Then you hit em with "what's your fucking point?" there is no point. OP asked a question. Now you're arguing you don't want him to take it down, but also that OP can't "shitpost anything without rhyme or reason"? Oh, so you don't want OP to take it down, but they can't just come on r/conspiracy and ask a question!
Come on, stranger. Leave OP alone. Go troll somewhere else.

Lol JFK was the youngest President in history. He was like...42 or 44 or something. Based on basic Wikipedia math my guesstimate is 44.
5 William_DuBane 2016-09-08
I know; you just can't be younger than 35.
2 LittleDidUNo 2016-09-08
Truth! Pardon my interruption, stranger.

Look what happened to him.

We never have anyone under 35 as president. It's part of the criteria for the office.

Because it takes that long to weed out, corrupt or kill all the good people.

What were some things that really hit you as being false / programmed?

Every buster I ever met hated the boomers for the reasons you describe.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Republican_Party_presidential_candidates,_2016
Bernie is 74 and Clinton is 68.
A good portion of the Republican nominees were 60 and younger.
A few of them were up there till the very end.
I agree, it's weird seeing two old people fighting to run this country, but it's not like ALL the candidates are these decrepit old people.
1 SovereignMan 2016-09-08
Considering that teenagers are the ones that know everything, they should be in charge... right?
1 Scroon 2016-09-08
There should be a "physical challenge" aspect to the presidential debates. Answer a question or take a physical challenge.

Nice clickbait title.

1 gloverlover 2016-09-08
I guess but plenty of leaders throughout time have been super young and created huge legacies for themselves
1 Jivicus 2016-09-08
When critical-thinking was a requirement. Today it seems to be a nuisance. Thus the world we live in vs the legacies they left behind.

What's your fucking point?
2 LittleDidUNo 2016-09-08
What's YOUR fucking point? It's a self.conspiracy, not u/William_DuBane's question session.
-4 William_DuBane 2016-09-08
That's not how this works.
Words have meanings. You don't just get to shitpost anything you want without rhyme or reason.
2 LittleDidUNo 2016-09-08
If you don't like it, downvote it. Asking OP "wtf" isn't gonna make him/her take it down.
-2 William_DuBane 2016-09-08
Or, you know, ask about it.
Who the fuck said anything about that?
1 LittleDidUNo 2016-09-08

Yep.
Almost as though I wanted to know what the point was.
Then don't fucking post. That's shitposting.
And to answer it, you need to know the point.
Yep. And if you don't comprehend how the statements are not mutually exclusive, you're not intelligent enough to be having this conversation.
Nope.
How about you answer my question or just fuck off.
1 LittleDidUNo 2016-09-08
Lolololol the only question you asked was of OP. What question would you like me to answer for you, stranger?
0 William_DuBane 2016-09-08
What's your fucking point?
1 LittleDidUNo 2016-09-08
To find an answer to OP's question points.
Now, what's YOUR fucking point?
0 William_DuBane 2016-09-08
There was no question. Fuck off with your shitposting.
1 LittleDidUNo 2016-09-08
I didn't shitpost, in fact the closest person here to shitposting is you. You, stranger, have no point.
1 gonzobon 2016-09-08

-2 William_DuBane 2016-09-08
