THE ANSWER: Wealth Ceiling

3  2016-09-13 by HitlaryforPrison

Just throwing out some ideas, sorry if it's not as succinct as it could be.

I mean, it may not be obvious to some, but it's clear why the world is the way it is. Money. Money results in power, power breeds greed, and greed breeds more greed and the hunger for more power. It's a never ending cycle. There is a finite amount of money on this planet (regardless of how much we continue to create), and as most are aware the majority of that wealth lays in the hands of just a few families. Money as a currency makes sense, but the current distribution of wealth has gone FAR beyond "fair" and is only getting worse by the day. We need to impose wealth ceilings for individuals. At some point, people reach a wealth that there is literally no reason that a person would ever need another cent. Kind of makes you think that the elite actually view the world as a real game of Risk.

I'm not sure how, but it needs to be done. I believe that has been the answer staring us in the face all along, and we need to start to speak out. We need to demand it, as you can be sure the elite do not care about "fair" practices, and will stop at nothing unless we stand up and try to stop them ourselves. We have the numbers, never forget.

Just some ideas. What do you think?

Just gonna throw it out there, this post was downvoted literally the second that it was posted..... I'm not acting like I'm the only one aware of this, but I believe it should be discussed.

This is a very good idea. The thing going on with these people is that once they have money, they want power. But this have to stop.

I'm just really surprised that it's never discussed, or at least I've never witnessed a discussion. the old "that's just the way things are" logic needs to stop, and you can be 150% sure that this change will not come about naturally.

FDR agreed with you thus the graudated income tax system with the high income tax on the highest earners, he would have been wiling to sign off on an upper limit.

You forgot about Scrooge Mcduck and our alien overlords.

That would be Communism, so, no thank you. Money is not the problem, humans are the problem. You could have the same amount of money, but I could still have a hotter wife or better life than you. I could have kids and you cannot have kids. You'd be envious, and say: "Why can't I have that?". Humans are never happy with what they have, they always want more of what ever... The world sucks, because Earth sucks and that is the point of this journey.

If you are born into a strict hierarchial system that is the only way to survive.

Either we are all innocent or all guilty, I say we are all innocent, including those at the top who have to deny their own humanness to acquire what they have.

Every great fortune is built on the backs of the poorest.

If you are born into a strict hierarchial system that is the only way to survive.

Huh?

Either we are all innocent or all guilty

Life is not black and white...

I say we are all innocent

Your spirit being may be...

including those at the top who have to deny their own humanness to acquire what they have.

That is not always true.

Every great fortune is built on the backs of the poorest.

Not necessarily true. Fortune is subjective, which is what people of your thinking negate....

I would say we have opposing opinions on this. Which side do you think our most revered spiritual leaders rest?

I would say we have opposing opinions on this.

You don't say....

Which side do you think our most revered spiritual leaders rest?

Gonna need some clarification. I don't believe nor trust any religious leader(s), especially those claiming to have power over others, whether spiritually or intellectually...

Oh I can assure you I identify as a religious free zone and am not referring to your fire, damnation ,, demonize women and burn the gays kind of monsters.

But even some of the religious leaders are deeply human in their teaching and thinking.

I knew you would be here to chime in from the peanut gallery with the individualist stance. What utter nonsense.

What utter nonsense.

Aye, what you said was.

We are all individuals, are we not?

We are society are we not? Do you value the concept of society in the least bit?

Sure, we are still individuals though. Those two are not exclusive. You want to take individuality out of it, but negate the fact that we are individuals who make up society. You - Logic at [10]...

Right, my logic is faulty meanwhile wealth inequality is completely out of control with your logic.
I don't want to take individuality out of it at all. It is about doing whats best for the individual and society at the SAME TIME. Please read more.

Right, my logic is faulty meanwhile wealth inequality is completely out of control with your logic.

It still would be, under your logic. That was the point of what I said, ala USSR.

I don't want to take individuality out of it at all.

Yes, you do.

t is about doing whats best for the individual and society at the SAME TIME

Not achievable. Because each individual is different, hence why I live in Alaska and why you probably live in the burbs or a city...

please read more.

I should say the same to you, but less of the toxic Marxist drivel that has apparently infected your brain...

good grief. Stay in Alaska please.

Stay in the city, please. See? Best for the individual.

...More like you living in a marginalized place on this planet is better for society.

...More like you living in a marginalized place on this planet is better for society.

SJW buzzwords. Much wow. So angry...

you completely side-stepped the entire basis of this conversation, care to try again? point being, if wealth was capped at an individual level there would be more money for the rest of the world to share.

if wealth was capped at an individual level there would be more money for the rest of the world to share.

That is not true. Which is the point of what I said. You should probably re-read and check your reading comprehension...

What if one single person has $10trillion dollars and 8billion people have $1 because that's what the market will bear? Would that hypothetical world situation be okay with you? At what point is wealth inequality problematic to you? It's amazing how mind-blowingly ignorant people are

What if one single person has $10trillion dollars and 8billion people have $1 because that's what the market will bear?

Sounds like a smart business man, compared to poor people.... I don't see a problem, really.. Do I think they need that much? Not really, but it's not up to me to decide how much someone else deserves or needs.

At what point is wealth inequality problematic to you?

Never, because we are all individuals. If you don't have resources, you're obviously doing something wrong...

It's amazing how mind-blowingly ignorant people are

I know, talking to people like you hurts my head.... The ignorance and idealistic day dreaming... Thoughts not based in reality or education, just fantastical thinking...

Cool, so you're not only ignorant, you're a psychopath. Got it. I mean what kind of fucking dipshit stares at a scenario like that and says "gee that's how it is I guess, oh well, what a smart businessman that guy is." Go fuck a grizzly bear, please.

Cool, so you're not only ignorant, you're a psychopath.

No I'm not, but you kinda sound like one. Remind me of Bolsheviks.

I mean what kind of fucking dipshit stares at a scenario like that and says "gee that's how it is I guess, oh well."

Who thinks they are arrogant enough to tell someone else what they need and deserve? Hint: You. You are projecting..

Go fuck a grizzly bear, please.

Typical reactionary response from someone who has no intelligent rebuttal. I knew you were a regressive SJW, by the use of "problematic". Well, I hope you have a fine evening, sir/madam (notice the difference ;) )

Who thinks they are arrogant enough to tell someone else what they need and deserve? Hint: You. You are projecting..

Lol, its arrogant to believe in the concept of society. I'm pleased to have this nugget to illustrate how far you morons will irrationally extend your thinking. In such a hypothetical scenario where the entire world's population expect for one man have nothing while one man has everything, the situation to you is that every single person must be independently inept. How mysterious! That is by far the most batshit moronic lens on world one can have, and is on the front lines of what is wrong on this planet.

Wat? You seem to like name calling, kinda childish, but doesn't surprise me in the least. Admit it, you engage in bullying... You should work on that, comrade.

Hypothetical, key word. Just like your Utopia, comrade....

That is by far the most batshit moronic lens on world one can have, and is on the front lines of what is wrong on this planet.

What you are spouting? Yes, I would agree.

Cool talk. I have a good feel for why the irrational individualist has come to believe the way they do. It is a pathetic self-righteous worldview ignorant to realities of human life on this planet. When you shit for brains people try to chime in on topics like OP suggested, it is at the forefront of what's problematic. You have no ability to think critically on this subject, but feel the need to chime in. It is fucking embarrassing.

It is fucking embarrassing.

You are, I agree. Enjoy your SJW regressive bubble. I have some steaks to grill.

Right on! Cheers to being a dumbshit. I'll see you next time you chime in on this subject.

So you can once again make a fool out yourself and others that think that way? Sure, see you next time!

Good one Todd Palin!

Good one, criticalthinkitout? I bet you'd get some high fives among the safe space crowd.... The more you type, just goes to show you are a name calling bully who self projects insecurities and lack of education onto others. It's kind of funny, really, if it wasn't equally sad at the same time... Oh, millennials...

[removed]

You should really get better at arguing your point. Pro-tip.

all you've done on this thread is plague it with comment references and garbage responses. try a different approach, kid.

So nothing? You post shit, and cry when people challenge it? Makes sense. Go back to your safe place. The rest of us are tired of your whiny bullshit. Spoiled brat....

again, you've said absolutely nothing. take care champ, keep on trolling!

Just because you cannot comprehend doesn't mean I've said nothing. Call me a troll all you want, doesn't justify your thought. All it's doing is disqualifying your thought and ideas... Back your shit up, or don't. That is on you... Kiddo... Methinks, you can't so you revert to name calling and covering your ears and eyes, because you do not understand the world you live in. Millennials... I feel sorry for you lot, if it wasn't so sad and funny.....

keep trying to get the last word in, champ. hopefully it'll help you sleep at night-- just know, again, you've brought absolutely nothing to the table besides irrelevant babble. I truly feel sorry for you, but understand this is all you have in your lonely life. its ok, bud... just try and think before you type out your pointless comments, especially when you choose to follow them with more bouts of nonsense.

You seem to be projecting. Work on that....

great, thanks for your valuable input--as always...

Rule 4.

abusive, threatening? do you see all this kid posts?

Yes, Putin has been warned too. Don't resort to abuse or troll/shill comments, because we have to remove them.

again, side-stepping the conversation. care to walk in a straight line and explain yourself, rather than continue spouting empty words?

I did in my original comment. If you cannot comprehend what I'm saying, that is on you, not me...

There is no technical fix for abusive wealth inequality. This requires a complete re-evaluation of what kind of society we want to have. Working people by and large are morally aligned with their slave owners, thus thwarting any formation of meaningful civil society. It is incomprehensible that 93% of humans on the planet basically live to survive day to day while a select few make essentially over $6million per day.

what I'm proposing is a technical fix. make a certain amount, retire for life. sounds nice, doesn't it?

Not really. People want to productive. If productivity is directed at the betterment of society (and by extension the ecological sustainability of this planet) that sounds nice.

And that is true and that is why having all the money at the top. stifles innovation.

Haven't you noticed the absence of new products while the near monopolists continue that trend to monopoly to expand their wealth and power and can now stop new ideas that would actually compete?

Absolutely. There is a fallacy that mitigating the hand of the market stifles innovation while a wealth of social-science research has shown just the opposite is true as you take note of.

Cool, so you're not only ignorant, you're a psychopath.

No I'm not, but you kinda sound like one. Remind me of Bolsheviks.
